Always a stop or 2 on a DC trip. Best crab cakes in the world. I try them in every city and country and these are simply “the best”. Great service. High noise level but love the green booths in main dining salon.

Food was excellent as well as the drinks. My mother and daughter selected the mojito which I tasted. We had fresh guacamole to start and I tried some beautiful tasting coffee with spices and chocolate (faintly sweet and bitter); it was amazing. We tried several small plates of different authentic elevated Mexican dishes that were lovely. We tried the grasshopper tacos which were seasoned on the stronger side. I think the flavors could be adjusted on this dish in particular, but I can’t say that I’m familiar with how grasshoppers are meant to taste. I think a smokey crispy presentation with some fresh herbs might be an option to try out. We were honored to be visited by the chef who said hello to my mother. We appreciated this generous gesture so very much. It made the meal so much more meaningful and memorable as it was her 75th birthday. This meal was worth the drive and the cost. Thank for a wonderful dining experience.

Daivd was an excellent server and we were so glad we went with his suggestion of the BLT. The one comment I would make is that the music needs to be turned down as the crowd noise became greater.

Zaytina Im gonna be one if those “I don’t typically write reviews, but this one..” because now I know what it means to have a lasting, compelling experience in dining out. The flavors were spot on and well-thought out, the portions were generous and the service left an impression and promise of a return. I ordered their Rosay brunch menu. Designed to be complimented with a bottle of rosé but opted out lol. It’s small plates/ mezzo-style 7 items between cold and hot. The highlight was the chicken because I was skeptical about having chicken in my shakshoka but I was in for a nice surprise, the chicken was flavorful and complimented the shaksoka sauce delightfully. The shish tawook and garlic sauce were deliberately flavorful, the acid I the garlic sauce gives the acidity that bring that dish to next level. The Rosay brunch menu is designed for 2 peoeple to share for the price of $65. I was by myself and I was very content with paying half of that price. Happy patron, will be returning and bringing friends.
