We like to bring our clients and employee staff here for business lunch/outing. The food is great and during the summer it's great to sit on the outside patio where is shaded and there's a nice breeze and scenery. The staff and customer service is very accommodating and nice. Choptank is one of our favorite go-to restaurants. The food is great and worth the price!

This is a unique and very special dining experience. The ambience, the intimacy of dining with only a few people, and in conversation with the chef and the absolutely spectacular food made for a memorable evening that I look forward to repeating! Although it is very expensive, no doubt, it is like no other dining experience that one would normally have.

This was our fourth dinner at The Retriever and we had another wonderful evening. The food is consistently very good, service is efficient and friendly and you can’t beat the cocktails. Plus it’s reasonably priced. We share incredibly fresh oysters and the smoked bluefish dip for starters. Among the four of us we had the shrimp burger, the pork and noodles and the catfish. Everyone enjoyed their entrees. We will definitely be back to this charming spot.
