This was probably the best meal we have had in a long time from start to finish. Our server Michelle was great. FYI The bus boys need to do a better job helping the wait staff clear tables of dirty dishes and refilling waters.

First, everything we ordered was fantastic - Peppadew Hummus, Pear & Burrata Salad, Fresh off the Hook Halibut, Uni & Scallop Risotto, and the King Salmon Salad. I was a little worried because of some of the negative reviews I had read, but I assure you, this restaurant has the goods. Each dish was unique for its type, with inventive flavors and toppings. Excellent location, friendly and attentive service (most of the time, but they were busy!). It's a little pricey, but I never mind that when I'm delighted by the quality and flavor of the food. The ambiance is upbeat, stylish, and we were able to bring our dog as they have some tables along the "open wall" in front. Perfection!!

The only two things in life that make it worth livin’ is guitars that tune good and firm feelin’ women. We drove over the Cascades earlier this week to meet Maeve and her parents for dinner at the new celebrity-owned Hawkeye & Huckleberry Lounge in Bend. We arrived early and were seated in chairs adjacent from the Sisters hideaway room, the enormous canvas tents, and the exquisite bar. Maeve was seated in the sleek and silky couch across from the giant cinema and vintage tin trailer parked in the corner. Lanterns lit our table and we sipped on whiskey and rhinestone cowgirl cocktails until appetizers were served. I was completely starstruck when Bradford pointed out Brian Malarkey, the chef and owner we’ve adored on TV for years. He was greeting people and giving tours in his cowboy hat and cutoffs while his Bonneville sat out front shining like Black Beauty herself. Red dirt tunes echoed the Doc Holiday vibe throughout the lounge. The cowboy cornbread they delivered tasted just like home. There’s no other way to describe it. Servers presented me with a plate of beefsteak tomatoes and I quite literally died and went to heaven. Brad revived me by pointing out another famous chef, Carlos Anthony, in my direct line of sight cooking up our entrees. Enter fantasy celebrity land. I’m in love and I haven’t even tried my salmon dressed in cherries and smoky almonds yet. Fresh from the Columbia river, she was soaked in brown butter and fell onto my fork bite after bite. The hazelnut charred carrots and butter potatoes were magnificent. Jessica and Brad had the Santa Maria skirt steak from a locally sourced ranch in Tumalo. Chad savored every morsel of his whole fried rockfish and everyone indulged in more cups of ambition. When we rose from the table, they were playing Luckenbach, Texas, with Waylon and Willie and the boys and I walked over to the chef and shook his hand. The Malarkeys certainly got back to the basics of love @hawkandhuck #aintnobodyfeelinnopain

Food was amazing. Service was a bit disappointing. Our server never spoke to us or engaged in any conversation. Never checked on us once food delivered. Had to ask 3 times for water. But food made up for the service! Will definitely be back.
