Wonderful dining experience. Lots of tempting items on the menu.

The food at Public Fish and Oyster is consistently great, from the wonderfully fresh raw oysters to the favorite Brussels sprouts, to the perfectly seasoned fish. We made a reservation for this date as a pleasant distraction from the politics and the place had a happy, festive atmosphere. Our server, Alex, was attentive but not hovering (he was very busy and efficient). We always return here for special occasions and just because we want to enjoy some delicious food.

All good! Food was delicious, service was excellent. 2 apps were really good…shrimp, roasted cauliflower and Brussels. Entrees were very tasty…burger, short ribs, tenderloin, Cajun Mac and cheese. We had a reservation for 6 and were seated promptly. The only change I would suggest is a little more space for incoming customers. I felt like we were right on top of people enjoying their meal. It was cold and wet outside, so we didn’t want to wait outside. Maybe in the winter season they could take a table or 2 out of the entry way to allow guests to wait inside.

Fantastic overall dining experience. Great ambiance. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Food presentation, quality and flavor excellent. Cannot wait to return.

The Vibe: Slightly upscale without feeling stuffy. Cool bar area. Pleasing athletics and lighting and music was at a good volume. The Food: PHENOMENAL! SO GOOD! Steaks are cooked over a wood fire and there is just nothing like that sear and char on a wonderful cut of meat from an open flame! Love that the steaks were served with a side of sea salt. It was seasoning perfectly but the extra salt was a nice touch for those who would want it. Impressed! The sides were equally impressive! The tartare was so flavorful and seasoned well! The Service: Professional and timely. Very knowledgeable about all food menu items. Explained the cuts of meat well. The Cocktails: Okay. Classics were done well but nothing blew me away. Understand that the meat is the star of the show here! The Value: Worth it!!! Prices listed are just for the meat. Sides are not included. So just keep that in mind for your budget and what experience you would like to have! Overall: Highly Recommend
