- DDebbievipUtah •3 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoPlease read to the end. We had been to Chez Loma before and were quite disappointed the last time. At that time, my husband’s steak was thin, gristly and overcooked. We were prepared to not go again. The restaurant is walking distance from our home and that is important to us. So my husband convinced me to try it again. This time we were very happy. He ordered steak again and it was perfectly cooked, tender and delicious. We both ordered the french onion soup and that was fabulous. The broth was yummy and there was lots of cheese on top. I ordered roasted artichoke. It wasn’t prepared as I expected because I didn’t read the fine print. It was breaded and seemed to be fried. I would rate that 3 stars. The service is impeccable. One other thing. It’s a French restaurant, but they play Spanish music. Not a big deal, but it felt a little weird to me.More infoChez LomaPrice: Expensive• French• Coronado•4.6
- EEileenNew York City •9 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe thoroughly enjoyed our anniversary dinner at Serea. Mark our waiter and the food and wine made our evening one to remember as a most pleasurable experience. When we return to San Diego, we will be sure to book it again.More infoSeréaPrice: Expensive• Mediterranean• Coronado•4.5
- OTOpenTable DinervipPortland / Oregon •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoVisiting Coronado is nostalgic for me as my parents would bring us to visit Hotel Del Coronado whenever we returned to our old hometown of San Diego to visit. I recently moved back to SD and decided to visit a different area of Coronado to have lunch at Little Frenchie to celebrate my Mom’s bday. My mom had passed away a few years ago. It was devastating to witness her decline and so to try to brighten my spirits on her birthday and celebrate the beautiful being she was, I try to do things that she would have enjoyed. And that’s where Little Frenchie comes in. I saw an Instagram reel about their French Onion soup (my mom’s fave soup) and saved it for that time when I could make it over to Coronado. Well, the time was 11/6/24, my mom’s birthday, and I also happened to have the day off, so Little Frenchie made its way into my plans for the day. Pleasant ambiance and the service was excellent - just the right balance of being attentive while also providing space to enjoy the meal. My mom would have loved The Onion Soup Gratinee. I know I did! The presentation was eye-pleasing and the flavor was not overly salty. Just the right amount of onions to highlight them and do I love a good ooey-gooey cheese to top it off! Didn’t clump, kept its ooey-gooey goodness throughout and was surprisingly easy to eat and enjoy. I also had the beet salad. Again, well balanced - crisp, fresh, and flavorful. Most beets salads I’ve tried have such heavy clumps of beets that it weighs down the rest of the salad. I also tried the Spritzer flight to drink, which was great because I couldn’t decide on one flavor. What topped off the meal and stood out for me was the manager stopped by my table to simply and beautifully acknowledge that she read my Open Table note about celebrating my Mom’s birthday and later brought out a crème brûlée dessert with a candle in Mom’s honor for me to make a wish. Lovely gesture. Literally, food for my soul. Overall, a great dining experience. Would recommend.More infoLittle FrenchiePrice: Moderate• French• Coronado•4.7
- JJanSan Francisco Bay Area •1 review5.0Dined 5 days agoWe had the Short Rib Potstickers, Spicy Tuna & Crispy Rice, and a Jumbo Lump Crab Cake. The crab cake was very nice, the crispy rice was perfect as the base of the spicy tuna, but the Star of the Show were the Short Rib Potstickers!!! Wow! New dish to make at home when we have some short rib leftovers! Best potstickers we’ve had! Service was great!More infoThe Henry - CoronadoPrice: Moderate• American• Coronado•4.8
- BBraydenSan Diego •6 reviews5.0Dined on Oct 29, 2024The staff was very friendly and professional, we waited almost no time and had waters in front of us just after we sat down. The menu is a pretty unique design that is incredibly simple to read, we found what we wanted fast and our waiter (Sean) appeared like he knew we had decided and it felt like he had only just left the table when he was headed back with our appetizer! Took a little time for the entree BUT I wouldn’t trust it if my steak came out too fast, and the wait for that wagyu was worth every second! First time I’ve gotten a steak at a restaurant and it wasn’t mostly fat! Every bite was amazing! If I still lived in the area I would come more often; definitely a new restaurant marked down for visiting!More infoTavernPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Coronado•4.6
