Went there for Mother's Day and they had a special menu. Most of the entree's were spicy, so if that is not your thing, it might be difficult to choose a meal. We chose non-spicy dishes and the curry dishes were very good. The portions were filling and satisfying. Would definitely recommend, although a bit on the pricey side.

Although the staff in general seems quite friendly, our server was surly and after she took our order, she never came by our table again. We got more service from whomever it was who brought our food to the table. Although we had to ask for the toast for our breakfast and the appetizers we had ordered. I also had to ask someone else for more coffee. Our server did show up with the bill 2 hrs later which was also the only time she asked if everything was okay and if we wanted anything else.

It’s my first time in Toronto and I had a pleasant experience at Kinka Izakaya. The food was delicious, the service was amazing, and the ambience was wonderful. Will definitely recommend this to all my colleagues!
