My experience was outstanding! Staff is great! Food was amazing!!! I’ have now been to All of the Sula restaurants and they are All great! My favorite place to dine for sure.

Food was delicious, flavours were spot on with what the menu had listed. We got the Signature Magnificent Seven, Crystal Crab and Shrimp Dumplings, and the Supersized spicy XLB. THE FLAVOURS ARE THERE. THEY ARE PRONIMENT, everything was so good we couldn't decide which was our favourite. I did regret getting the Supersized XLB, as it tasted like a spicy hot pot soup (but it's only a regret because I personally prefer classic soup over spicy). I could actually taste both crab and shrimp in the crystal dumpling (where most other places you can only taste one or the other). 10/10 would visit again.

Sushi Bar Maumi was by far the best omakase experience I've ever had. From start to finish, every single piece was meticulously prepared by the Head Chef and its presentation is simple yet beautiful. As a patron, it is both rare and a blessing to be able to dine in at such a top-tier restaurant that not only takes you on a journey of mouth watering bites, but to be able to enjoy the meal at a nice pace being able to pair the delicious meal with a wide range of Japanese whiskey, sake, beers, shochu, where you don't feel rushed. Even though there are many Japanese restaurants in Vancouver, Sushi Bar Maumi is the definition of superior excellence in terms of quality, taste, depth, hospitality, and flawless pace. It was an eye-opening (and eye-watering) experience of what a true high quality omakase should be, and it's truly surprising that they only charge the amount that they currently charge. I cannot wait to go back throughout different times of the year to enjoy the seasonal delicacies. Thank you for an unforgettable experience, see you very soon!
