A truly memorable experience from the moment we exited the elevator. We received a warm welcome from the hostess, and she graciously accommodated our request for a view of the Washington Monument. Our waiter was attentive and the food was delicious....fabulous charcuterie board. We will definitely return!

The room was beautiful where we were seated but the table was unbelievably low. We had what felt was a child’s table. There was a small 2 seater low couch and then chairs on either side. There were other tables of normal size but ours felt ridiculous. The service was spectacular. They came by regularly to add hot water to our teapots and were happy to swap out a friend’s tea who did not enjoy her tea choice. They happily provided more clotted cream curd and jans for our scones. We were given 2 large scones, one vanilla and one was apricot basil. Both were delicious! My only complaint about the food would be the sizes of the savory items. They were tiny bite sized items. No actual finger sandwiches. They certainly get points for creativity but the tea left me hungry for more savory. The sweets, other than scones, were mostly bite sized too but we enjoyed having many bite sweets compared to two or three larger ones. The savory items just needed to be larger and we missed having finger sandwiches. We would define one again but would not have arrived expecting lunch. We hadn’t eaten all day before our 1pm tea and left feeling still a bit peckish.

Perfectly good Italian restaurant (reliably good pizza, and plenty of more upscale options, too). From my POV, this is easily the best of the three dining options in this particular New Mexico Avenue building complex. (1) Al Dente, (2) Wagshals, and (3) Chef Geoff's
