    Always an outstanding meal, and our visit this week was no exception...with one exception LOL. Mrs. Vobe's Dinner (prime rib) was cooked to perfection, the au jus gravy was smooth and awesome. The roasted vegetables were perfectly prepared. The peanut soup always is my favorite. The only disappointment was the chef's new take on a Southern classic, Pecan Pie. This dessert has always been on the menu, and I was looking forward to another of their great recipes - but not this time. The crust was almost nonexistent and the filling was was watery/thin with an off-putting rum taste. (It normally has bourbon). Our server Russell (with 30+ years experience) was a gem - he did an outstanding job. BUT...it seemed that they were understaffed. Russell was unable to spend the amount of time at our table telling stories about King's Arm's that we are used to. My family has been eating at this wonderful restaurant since 1963 - we try and eat there at least once a year...and we will be back!

    This dining experince made a wonderful event for my wife's 62nd birthday. Excellent tasting food, service properly timed and all done with a genuine smile. Could not have asked for a better birthday dinner for my wife!
