- HHilldocVIPCoastal Georgia •57 reviews4.0Dined on Mar 13, 2025It was our first time there and I loved the vibe, very much my aesthetic so felt very homey! We started with the oysters Rockefeller which were pretty good, the poblano pepper was interesting, I felt they could have been more robust. Will try pickle dip and deviled eggs next time. Did I say I loved the vibe? They nailed that nostalgic past. We then split the brussels sprouts which were undeniably amazing, I will have these again. I had the fisherman‘s catch, which was a rockfish and the grits, well as a Southerner the grits weren’t quite up to my standards, the corn nuts were cool and the fish was buttery and so well prepared, but I felt the flavor was more flat. It was definitely a lot of fish though excellent for the price point. My husband had the lentil sloppy Joe ands hands down was so incredible and I will get this next time. We then finished off with a strawberry shortcake, I loved the brown butter (could have used more?) and the strawberries, the mascarpone added a little more sourness than I was expecting, I think I’ll go for the grasshopper pie next time. We will definitely be back and really enjoyed this gem. Did I mention they were playing one of my favorite cult classics clueless on the TV?More infoPonyboy at The Pearl HotelPrice: Expensive• American• Point Loma•4.7
