Great little place, quiet (great for a conversation with an old friend), terrific menu. Recommend the Cesar salad (surprisingly, since salad is usually not the thing I'd say "wow" about, but WOW), and the Rum cake dessert. Oh, and the mains were also delicious!

Nice Matin is one of our favorite mainstays in the UWS. Atmosphere, service and delicious food are consistent, making for a lovely destination for regular meals or special family occasions.

Aves is a beautiful, sleekly elegant Asian fusion restaurant we visited for the first time. The cocktails were delicious and interesting, thanks to bartender Rodrigo, who is talented and friendly. We were seated at a very comfy table, and studied the interesting menu. We each chose an appetizer and a main dish. Each item was served beautifully and tasted delicious! The only problem was that some of the items on the menu were new, so the kitchen was a bit behind, creating delays in the delivery of our food. The servers explained the kitchen back-up and asked for our patience, which we of course gave. To cheer us up, we each got an extra cocktail and a special dessert that wasn't even on the menu! I'm looking forward to another meal there in the near future--giving the restaurant cooking staff a chance to catch up to its delectible menu.
