Lobster toast starter was disappointing … we thought prawn toast but it was smaller and tougher Lamb was wonderful Bread and butter pudding wonderful

We went for a late lunch on a sunday as we hadn't experienced the sunday roast menu before. We went for the porchetta which was excellent. The Grand remains very consistent and maintains a high standard of service and cuisine and it is always an enjoyable experience for us.

We had the two courses for £17.50 and it was nice. The calamari was exceptionally good with lovely crisp batter. The crispy king prawns were nice but could've done with a bit of salad garnish. I had the steak and ale pie and my boyfriend had the chicken and ham pie. Both were nice and good value for money. I was dissapointed with the blue cheese and garlic sauce that we ordered extra it was £2.50 for a tiny little pot and didn't taste of blue cheese or garlic at all. Overall a nice eating out experience. Would go back again.
