My family and I always have a great time at Sunday Brunch. The hotel is beautiful, the food is excellent, and the service is the best I receive anywhere.

The atmosphere was to be expected, cows mingling around the various troughs. Although glitzy and fine presentation - the substance was lacking. Seafood (shrimp & crab claws) were good (no ammonia [putrefaction]). The oriental section was good. The banana foster was the only reason the meal was tolerable. Eggs Benedict - failure; the muffin & bacon so dried out from the heat lamp that a knife (even steak knife) could not cut. Other than bananas foster, most every desert was marginal, if not poor. The $50 Mimose (waiter stops by table - pours champagne and hand you a pouring jar of orange juice - then leaves). Too $$ for too little (plus quality suspect). The waiter could best be described as a busboy because that is all his duties entailed. Most of the time I do not object to the imposed 20% gratuity... but in this case - it was not earned. Pre hoopla & praise was met with true disappointment. One of the bottom two restaurant experience while on site for the week. Find another venue for Sunday.

This was our second time coming for the brunch on Sunday. There were a bunch of choices, but most of the cook food seemed a little less than the quality I would expect for $100 per person brunch plus the service staff was not very attentive. We had to wait 15 to 20 minutes to get spoken to about eating the brunch after we were seated. Also, the staff did not come back by until the very end and I had to flag somebody down a different weight staff person to bring us our bill. We waited another 20 minutes. The cold seafood was the best part that was more before five star, but everything else was not really the value of what I expected or the quality I expected. I was mostly disappointed and very disappointed with the service.

The only thing extra ordinary about the brunch was the exorbitant price. Had to wait in line 15 minutes for an omelet while those not willing to wait had to cut in line to get to the scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage. The latter were cold by the time I got my omelet back to my table. You would think the Broadmoor would have those wrinkles ironed out by now. I had requested seating on the main floor because my wife has a problem with steps and is having knee surgery in July. That request was totally blown off. The service, Apricot Danish, jumbo shrimp and Banana Foster were excellent! At least I crossed it off my bucket list!

As expected, the best Sunday brunch experience; savory dishes including superior prime rib, amazing breakfast options and desserts. The bananas foster is a highlight as well. We were treated like royalty and couldn't have chosen a better way to celebrate our anniversary.

The once great experience at the Broadmoor buffet is no longer Our table was afternoon, but no excuse for cold food The service was the worst I have ever experienced We received our drinks after the first course, and a refill arrived after we paid our bill Bananas Foster is one of the more popular items, but they were waiting for ice cream that never arrived While the hotel is beautiful. The buffet is an experience we have treasured for many years, but sadly, it is no more.

Definitely a special occasion experience! They don’t skimp on service, quality and ambience. Variety of food styles to please any palate, just make sure to start slow and small plates so you can enjoy the entire menu of items being served.

Our waitress, I believe her name was Lani, was exceptional. She was very friendly and helpful, got us a bottle of sparkling cider for our anniversary. Food was plentiful and tasteful.

First things first: the brunch for adults is listed at $105– already high— but there is an automatic 20% service fee that the whole Front of house splits so unless you’re a complete dbag you’re also tipping so the brunch is really more like $150 per adult. That’s insane. Yes the food is INCREDIBLE. Yes there are more than 150 buffet items. Yes the service is good. But a $300 brunch for two goes beyond a splurge, it’s an extravagance. I’d say spend that money at the spa (where the 20% service fee also is in effect) or on a fly fishing lesson or something else.
