The Crab House is in a great location, wonderful views, fairly quiet, lots of parking. Food was only so-so, our 3 plates sounded good but none of them were representative of what you should expect at a "crab house". But still a good place to go, have to find something on their menu that they excel at.

I love this place time and time again but I am certain it’s mayo instead of mustard next to some kind of cheese (not Swiss) on the otherwise good Cuban. Gross!

Delicious meal with great service. Madison was the best!!! Only downfall would lave like to watch NCAA tournament game but instead could only get Family Feud. Mgmt said remote wasn’t working. Had shrimp cocktail, snow crab, broccoli and coleslaw. All were cooked and prepared to perfection. Would definitely recommend.

We made reservations and were seated promptly when we arrived. Hostesses weren’t super friendly. When being seated, our table and booth chairs had pieces of crab clearly all over it. The hostess just placed the menus down and quickly walked away and I had to follow her to ask for her to clean the table. She came back and just cleaned the end of the table off and left again, so we just brushed it off ourselves. Our server greeted us was very friendly and attentive. Once our food arrived, my daughter’s steak was clearly burnt (she ordered is med/well so I cut into it before the server left and she took it back to the kitchen also admitting that it looked way over cooked when she grabbed it from the kitchen. Another guest at our table food was lukewarm and he sent it back. Since it was a fresh catch, unfortunately it was the last of the evening so he opted for the crab trio bucket. It took around 20 minutes for my daughter to get her food which is kind for an 11 year old. The steak was good the 2nd time however the mash potatoes were brownish and looked like they had been sitting in a warming dish all night. The other gentlemen at our table received his food about 5-7 minutes after and when dropped off, was told they were out of potatoes so the just put more biscuits in it — would have been nice to ask him first what he preferred. So all in all the evening was meh. Not sure I would go again
Would have been nice to in the least had a visit from a manager to apologize. Also some of the guests in our party had the soup and go to Laishleys occasionally and they said it didn’t taste normal and was spicier then usual.

Location, location, location! What a great place, especially for visitors, as it is right on the water. Very large restaurant with good "down and dirty" food you'd expect in a resort location. Fried Grouper sandwich was very good (oil used to fry it was clearly not "left over"). Ahi Tuna salad was good, although I'd hoped for a better quality of tuna. For dessert, the Oreo Cheesecake had little taste to it. It did seem like it might have been fresh from the freezer and absorbed some of the taste from whatever else was in the freezer. However, all-in-all, was a hard to beat location with good (not great) food...perfect for a warm, sunny afternoon in Punta Gorda

We have visited this restaurant for the past several years while vacationing in the area; everything prior to this year has been excellent. This year was different; we found it odd that the place was not jammed to capacity with patrons on a Friday night during lent. Service was poor - When our food was delivered we had to wait for utensils to crack crab legs; they were not delivered to the table with the food. One person in our party ordered pasta, but before the waitress delivered cheese to the table, his food was cold. The waitress continually stated that she needed to go back to the kitchen to obtain utensils and food items that should have been bought with the meal to the table. When we told the waitress that we needed additional items at the table, she turned around and took an order from a table near where we were seated. She then forgot to get the items and we had to remind her again. Needless to say service was not adequate, and the quality of the meal was not to the standard that we experienced in the past.

Service was prompt, food good, the only thing that we all laughed about was the iced tea. It was just about water and they charged us $3 a glass and didn’t refill any of our glasses.

Server was MIA.. Stuffed Shrimp was lukewarm, I asked for Sauce on the Side. It was not on the side and very salty. Garlic mashed and Grilled veggies were dried out for sitting under the heat lamp waiting for the shrimp to come out of the broiler. Not my first rodeo Cowpoke! Food was mediocre at best and overpriced. Only draw is the Water view... Wasn't even busy. Really wanted to love this place. Won't be back!

Food, Lashley Grouper was mediocre at best. The first server we had made great effort to accommodate us when we added an additional 2 people to our group of six. The second server clearly did not want to be there.

Nice place on the water. Disappointed in the lobster roll was not what I was expecting. Other food and soups were very good. Will definitely go back again when we are in the area. Waitress was very nice and never had to ask for drink refills.

Arrived at 11 AM with seven people for lunch. A little chilly outside so we ate inside. Most of us are a bit hard of hearing but were able to converse OK. Food was very good. Loved the grouper sandwich.

We have been here before. The setting is great. We can watch a beautiful sunset outside. Sit at the bar or a table and enjoy.
The food is always very good. This is not a gourmet restaurant. It is a very good seafood and a reasonable price.
This is a restaurant that takes reservations which makes it very nice for us to meet friends from other parts of the state.
I highly recommend this place

Fish and salmon were dry. Fish and chips was not very good. Asparagus was limp and portion of potatoes was small. Person next to me gave me some of hers because she felt bad for me. There were 5 of us and only one dinner the Tuscan chicken was ok. We eat out once a month as a group and first and last time at your restaurant.

Sorry first time I wrote a bad review.
Staring with the water...funny taste. Lemonade same taste from ice. My cob salad was a disappointment. Fish not fresh. All the white of iceberg lettuce and not ripped tomatoes. Desserts probably frozen variety. Coffee awful. Needless to say will not go back.

We had a wonderful luncheon with family who we met halfway. We were never rushed the waiter was extremely helpful and the food was enjoyed by all. The entire facility is very welcoming. I was very glad I use open table because there was a great big line of those without reservations.
We are definitely planning on eating there again.

Great place to eat, esp. if you can sit outside. The bar is great too for ordering food. Rated the food a little low since our grouper was over-cooked and dry. Service was really good.

Love the atmosphere (wonderful view), and the service is great, but the food is lacking. For the prices charged I just expect more. The grouper in my wrap had no seasoning, and you feel like you're in a fast food restaurant when your coleslaw comes in a plastic container. Just put the coleslaw on the plate or in a separate little bowl if necessary. Sweet potato fries are good, but there's an uncharge for them.

We came on the advice of our daughter. The said the grouper sandwich was the best she had eaten in the area. Two of us ordered the blackened grouper sandwich and both of us agreed that the roll was too dry and hard. The sandwich lacked moisture and taste. My wife had a grouper meal with "crab meat" on top. There was hardly any crab and she said the meal lacked in flavor. One member had the ribeye with a lobster tail. He was the only one out of 4 who was happy with his meal. He said it was very good. There are nice views sitting outside to enjoy your meal but 3 out of four of us were disappointed. You would think the seafood at a crab house would be equal to or better than the beef.

We sat outside and the wait staff/manager were intent on rushing us out of there. They told us to order right away to beat the rush (11:30 lunch reservation). They brought the check without asking if we wanted coffee or dessert. Poor-average food, annoying service, extremely loud. They have a Peace River view, but that's about it.
