We enjoyed eating outdoors on the terrace. Very pleasant atmosphere and staff very helpful. Food was cooked to perfection. Will definitely be coming back
Food not worth the price tag. Service was a little slow.
The food was average/good for the price. The buffalo steak was nice. The specialty drinks were delicious. The interior dinning was like something out of the 80’s and felt more like a high school library than a nice French restaurant. I wish we had been able to sit outside.
The waitress was so vibrant and made us feel extra comfortable and enjoyable!
And food was delicious!
The cocktails were also great!!!
I highly recommend this restaurant!
I had high hopes for La Tour since it was rated as 'exceptional', but left a bit disappointed. We walked into a crowded, noisy entry way with no seating to wait before our table was ready for our 7:30 reservation. We found several mothers walking around in the dining rooms comforting their crying infants, which I empathize with, but this really took away from the ambiance. The restaurant had dated decor and furniture that felt out of place.
Our server was friendly and professional, but could have checked in with us a few more times. Our meals and drinks came out very quickly after ordering. I ordered the sole meuniere. It was good, but at $54, very expensive for the portion and presentation. The other person in my party ordered the Caesar salad , but the lettuce was not fresh. At $17 for a small salad, we found this unacceptable. We ended up sending it back and it was refunded without question, for which we were grateful. We were looking forward to dessert, but decided to skip since the experience had been unsatisfactory. Overall, the food was tasty but lack-luster for the price.
I would personally try this restaurant again to give them a second chance (maybe it was just an off-night), but I wouldn't recommend it to another diner with so many other options in Vail and the surrounding areas.
It was quite a pricey dinner, especially w wine prices ranging from $100+ and above.
The Japanese Wagu beef was disappointing not as tender as one would expect; my diver sole came in pieces not an entire fish… French bread basket which has an added charge was also disappointing.
We were happy to pay the 3% added charge fto pay for their staff and want to make sure the entire staff front and back of the restaurant will receive the $ .
Slow service, couldn’t get wine delivered for 40minutes from sitting down
Always return to La Tour when we are in Vail. Excellent food service and ambience. A perennial star kitchen. Don’t miss it!!
Had a great experience here! Some of the most delicious french onion soup and creme brule I've had!
Our duck was tough and not cooked enough in a couple of places. Flat iron steak was tough.
Wonderful waiter, and the food was outstanding!
Wonderful evening. Food is fantastic and a creative menu. Wine service was really good. A large wine list with numerous unique bottles. Service was a tiny bit off pace but given labor challenges and that they had a wine dinner going on not a problem and totally worth it.
I have always loved La Tour and will frequent it again many times. Last night was the first time EVER that my fish was dry. I've never had a bad meal at La Tour, but last night was a disappointment ONLY in that the Dover sole was overcooked. Otherwise, everything was good. Only 4 stars on the environment because we had to sit in one of the back rooms where the air is stuffy and there was a Hall winery event in the partition next to us that was loud. That large party of maybe 30 people may have caused the kitchen to be less than exemplary.
Food was exceptional, service was great. The servers were friendly and knowledgeable, We'll definitely return and will recommend the restaurant to our friends.
One of the best in the Vail valley. Great wine selection and amazing cuisine. Can be a little noisy in the back rooms if a large group is there on the weekends. But you can sit on the patio or just inside and enjoy live music or just a well crafted meal.
The food was very good and the wine selection is excellent.
Great service, good to very good food, the foie gras and Dover sole excellent, but the portions extremely small. About a third of expectations.
My husband and I went for dinner while on vacation; neither one of us is particularly fond of French food but the place was recommended by a friend we trust. What really made our rezo Erie cénelas Stevan our server. He was delightful attentive and helpful. We ordered tomato Helio ok salad the corn soup my husband had the Wagu Elk steak And I had the duck. We topped it Off with cream brûlée. All was
We had an absolutely delicious meal. I would not have normally chosen a vegetarian dish, but my mushroom wellington did not disappoint. Chelsea, our server, was so pleasant! What a great date night!
Food was amazing. Everything was delicious and prepared perfectly. First time trying this restaurant and will definitely come back.
Perfect dining experience. Our favorite place in Vail. Great cocktails, excellent wireless and beautiful food.
Each dish was incredible, La Tour surprised us with its flavors in most of its dishes.
Sommeiler was incredible and the wine list is well curated. Service fantastic and the food was lovely
Vacation and relief from Texas heat!
Wonderful Sunday night dinner, outside, with a Big Band jazz performing live down the street. Food and service matched the ambience. The black truffle beurre blanc with the halibut was the show stopper.
We had a reservation for outside and our waitress told us we need to order everything in advance because the kitchen likes to know what is coming. Our appetizer came before our drinks and our main entree came not long after. The service here and in Vail is non existent. Be prepared to wait for everything. Food is overpriced and fair at best.
Great food, atmosphere and server 👍
We enjoyed our dinner that was after the local philharmonic concert very much. The food and wine were outstanding with service that was very attentive.
Very nice outdoor setting and food was very good.
Not impressed! Rushed, over priced. We were sat unside were it was empty.
We recently visited Vail for 7days and ended up eating at La Tour 3 nights because our food was delicious. Vail has a lot of great restaurants to choose from and we have been to almost all of the high end restaurants and this is our favorite. We highly recommend La Tour.
The halibut was exceptional, as was the rest of the meal, except for the steak which was tough.
Food was amazing and lovely outdoor dining
Our “last-night in Vail” tradition is a wonderful evening at LaTour. This visit was exceptional, with special attention to our physical needs. My Chicken Paillard was deliciously prepared. Foie Gras is always a fave.
Looking forward to next time!
The halibut was outstanding as was the duck. Our waitress was attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere was lovely and festive. The one criticism I have is that the wine pours were extremely stingy - my glass looked like less than a 6 ounce pour for $14.
Delious food with artistic presentation!
Our waiter was delightful and professional. The Sommelier was helpful and fun.The food was spectacular!
