Wonderful, informative waiter. Food superb. Lovely location.
We had a party of 7 and each of us thought our food was outstanding. The service was good. The only negative was a Palisades Peaches dessert that we shared and that no one really liked. It was a very small portion for the price and very ordinary.
Highly disappointed in this otherwise well rated restaurant.
Oysters were not good. Scallops appetizer was excellent.
The Tile Fish special was inedible and pushed highly by the waitstaff.
Not worth the price at all.
We have been going to LaTour for many years and have always loved it.
The last two visits have been disappointing. This past one the chicken was overdone and lobster was mostly missing from the lobster bisque.
The time before the sole was terrible.
Everything was great, but the Lamb Shank was not at all good. One of my favorite places in Vail!
A lovely setting for s delicious meal. Wine list is expensive, but caught it on special. Really should get a more inclusive wine list.
Foodie Find! La Tour is always a wonderful experience. With a rotating seasonal menu, there are always news dishes to experience. The BBQ Oysters are a staple Menu item and deservedly so. Recently, we had the Mushroom Soup. It was one of the best Mushroom Soups, I've ever had. The scallops were seared and perfectly tender. The Escargot was our favorite! We had to order another! The craft cocktails are unique with complex ingredients melding together. They have CBD Cocktails as well and an impressive wine list. The waiter was knowledgable and attentive. Overall, not 1 complaint. Can't wait to come back!
So good, we ate here 2 nights out of our 3 night stay in Vail.
Seemed a little understaffed, we waited at the front desk for awhile before anyone acknowledged us.
The food was good, but the new salad with chicken doesn’t hold a candle to the old standard panko crusted, please bring it back!
Atmosphere and food were good but not too fancy. Prices are high, you pay $7-9 for a side and 30-40 for entre and portions are not big. Execution needs to be improved, I got the lobster toast with avocado and Lange was half empty.
My friend said her escargot was very good.
Great ambiance, good food, seemed they were short staffed.
Food was subpar. Not worth the money
We have had Sunday brunch several times at La Tour over the past 5 years...never has the food or service been as poor as we experienced on 8/18/19 in Vail. We will never return - Vail has too many better restaurants that offer excellent food and great service. I would highly recommend Vintage for brunch over La Tour. Our brunch the day before at Vintage was excellent despite the fact their oven was down and could not serve some menu items. They offer a creative French menu with outstanding food, and the service prompt and attentive.
A credit card was requested at La Tour to hold the reservation. Arrived for Sunday brunch at 10 am, promptly seated as there were only about 3 tables with guests. Waiter gave us menus, water poured by bus person, waiter never came to inquire as to beverages before he returned 10 minutes later to take order. Placed our order but had to request beverages with our entree. Requested croissants for the table. They were provided but asked for butter - it never came. Waiter disappears. Food arrives - eggs on one order are scrambled not over easy. She is asked if she wants to eat the potatoes and toast before getting her eggs. Really? Omelet is dry, asparagus cold, about 5 dry lyonnaise potatoes. Tomatillo and green chili with pork belly mediocre at best. Had to ask for salt and pepper, eggs were cold by the time it arrived. Never brought coffee refills, especially needed with small pours. Waiter never returns to table...another waiter is scrambling to manage several tables and ours. On way to restroom, I stopped a waiter and requested coffee for the table. Never saw first waiter again until after we received bill. No offer to discount bill or acknowledge poor service. All of us (5 adults) agreed we would never return here.
Service was great. Entrees good but over priced at $49.
Had reservations and went to the bar for a drink while waiting for our table. Ended up having dinner at the bar due to Garrett, Can’t wait to go back!
All good as it always is
Always a wonderful meal, but it has become so pricy we seldom go there anymore. I especially dislike that we have to pay extra for bread.
I would recommend La Tour but not as enthusiastically as I once did. Seems the restaurant has gone downhill a bit. The cushion on my seat was torn, and the food was good but not the fantastic meal I remembered from 2 years ago. Also, $49 for dover sole was too much money but I decided to splurge. When my meal came it was way too much food. I would have preferred half the serving for half the money! The best part of the evening was your staff. They were delightful, hardworking, and very much wanted to please us.
I have had the Chicken Paillard at La Tour many times over the years and although it was very tasty it wasn’t as good as it has been in the past. There wasn’t enough bleurre blanc sauce for the very generous portion of chicken and mashed potatoes. I would still highly recommend it but I know it can be better.
We had a lovely brunch outside. Service was great and the entrees were delicious except that my Eggs Benedict were a bit over cooked. When cut into, they did not run, just a shade overdone. Other than that, everything was fine.
We had asked for a table on the patio when making our reservation but were told none were available when we showed up. After a 30 min wait we were seated on the patio and had a great meal, with excellent service. Would come back again.
This is not the La Tour it used to be. Very salty. Stale bread. Over cooked lamb. Brussel sprouts over cooked and salted almost beyond recognition. One of us had such a bad stomachache that he missed half the dance performance later that evening. Great location tho 😑
Mediocre food at best. Could not find the "french" part of this cuisine. Really disappointed.
Waitress and chef were extremely accommodating for my wife’s food sensitivities. The food was delicious and service was excellent.
Sadly we did not enjoy our visit. Food was fair and cost was high. Waitress was a little haughty, not very friendly.
Everyone was great and accommodating. Got to meet Chef Nathan and thanked him for such a great experience and an awesome meal! It was a perfect night out!
We had a great anniversary dinner. The escargot and BBQ oysters were delicious. I had the chicken and my wife had the lamb shank. Both were perfectly cooked. We will be booking again this winter.
Delicious brunch, lovely ambiance, and excellent service.
Except for bread charge, which we were not
Notified about, everything else was lovely and well-prepared
The service was excellent. Our server was very knowledgeable about The menu and was able to answer questions and make suggestions. My friend and I had the seafood specials: bass and deep sea scallops. Both were delicious. A very enjoyable dining experience.
Lovely in every way. Good was outstanding
It was our anniversary. Ben was our waiter and was very attentive. He brought us a free glass of champagne to celebrate our occasion. He gave us great recommendations on drinks and menu items. We felt special from the moment we walked into the moment we left.
My 80 year old mom was in town so we took her for dinner. We all really enjoyed it!
Fabulous food and great service. We went there for my 65th birthday and it was perfect.
La Tour has been our first choice for dining for many years. After a concert at the amphitheatre, it just takes a brisk walk into Vail Village, and viola you're there.
My husband and I always find their wines by the glass menus so convenient, after all he may want white, and she loves red.
My husband chose the crispy panko chicken paillard, and I went for the prime beef Manhattan. We recommend both dishes.
Garrett our server had the patio area well managed, and eagerly answered our questions.
For your next trip to Vail, check it out.
Simply excellent dining
The signature dish of Dover sole was not as good as previous
Very good french food. Service was not as good as in the past. Should feel like your at a fine dining restaurant, not being served by a snowboarder.
