Excellent food and service. Always is at the Broadmoor.
We were celebrating our 38th anniversary and La Taverne was the perfect place. We were seated in a quiet area. Our server was friendly. The food was great!
My husband and I dined at La Taverne for my birthday. It was our first visit and won't be our last. He had the prime rib and I ordered the salmon. The food was cooked to perfection and had great flavor. It was fresh and prepared with care. The service was absolutely outstanding and the atmosphere was quiet and elegant. We felt like VIPs even though we're just "regular" folks. For a special night out, I highly recommend visiting La Taverne!
We had a great time at LeTaverne. Looking forward t our next visit.
It was an amazing experience
We had a wonderful weekend at at the Broadmoor this past weekend. The only problem we had was our steaks came out and my wife’s was way over done. By the time her new steak came out mine was cold and she was no longer hungry. Would have been nice if they would have tried to make it right with a small discount or a free dessert
Our prime rib dinner was outstanding! But we were extremely disappointed in the New Orlean’s Oysters Rockefeller a la Galatoire appetizer. They were nothing more than oysters in the shell completely covered with finely chopped spinach. Very very dry and very tasteless. The menu description said “charred Pernod scented spinach”. Wrong! There was no Pernod scent or flavor whatsoever. We wish we had complained but decided against it. The dish should be removed from the menu. We felt like we had just thrown $18 away.
Decor is very dated and the food was sub par. For the prices and it being at the Broadmoor, we were very disappointed. It’s back to the Summit for us next time.
Great experience and service. Food was so good and dancing was so much fun..will definitely be back
We paid $240 for 2 steaks, sides, and 2 drinks. For a steakhouse, they served fatty filets and mine was undercooked. When I sent it back, it came back nearly burnt. The waiter and manager apologized and 'made it up to us' with a free $10 dessert. This was by far the worst meal we have had there and I would recommend no one else goes there either. For a steakhouse, they should be known to cook it correctly...the reservation was at 5:15pm and they were not busy so you can't blame it on how busy the restaurant was. They didn't even offer to comp my steak, and when I asked about it, they said, "it's not our policy". To have a restaurant do this at a 5 star, 5 diamond hotel is unacceptable and a complete waste of our money. Do not go to this restaurant.
We stayed at the Broadmoor hotel for the night and had dinner at La Taverne. Nice atmosphere and food was delicious. There were some regular customers at the table next to us and wait staff seemed to cater to them a bit more than the other patrons but it was a nice evening and enjoyable meal.
Prices are okay but when I ordered a small side of fries and it was $9 that was overboard! They add 20% to ALL checks throughout the facility so servers do not have to "earn" the tip. At the Tavern that was not a problem because the service was awesome. We have been in another restaurant at the Broadmoor and it was definitely not the service that would be in line with a 20% tip.
Wonderful experience and service was top rate! Highly recommend!!
Great food and great service as always! We love coming here on special occasions!
La Taverne continues to deliver top quality food and service; from the tender, juicy burgers to the delicious turkey club (no bacon, as requested). Reggie was personable and attentive and even provided some ice for the doggie bag since we were traveling back to Denver after lunch.
Our waiter Reggie was great! He was 'very professional, yet friendly.
Provided perfect service. We would ask for him if we come again.
Always a wonderful time and a fantastic setting. We love going and will continue to go in the future.
A wonderful experience and certainly worth the drive from Denver. The customer service was superb. This includes valet, adjacent store personnel, an wait staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will be back soon.
Lovely quiet restaurant with impeccable service and great food.
Our dining experience was superb, our waiter Brian excellent.
From the moment to drove up to the Broadmoor for valet parking thru the dining experience, everyone was so pleasant. Wonderful time. We will be back.
What a terrific experience it was at the Broadmoor!
The food was terrific and the ambiance was festive..
Annual Christmas lunch.
Anyone would enjoy the tavern. Best filet I’ve had in a long time! I enjoy the beauty of the place, Toulouse LaTrec, etc. what’s funny is that I prefer the bar area to the atrium but the 16’ chandelier is really something. It’s pricey but everything is $$$$ at the Broadmoor but you have access to the grounds, great American Western art and Broadmoor history. We went at Christmas time and all the trees indoors and out are a special treat.
I made a reservation for 2 on a Thurs at 745 PM. It wasn’t that busy but yet they plopped us down right by the kitchen door. We were visited by several fill in servers and maybe a manger (no one shared their names) since our server was busy with a bigger table. There were bread plates but we were never served any. The meal doesn’t include a salad or even any sides. The drinks were weak and even though you already pay a$35 resort fee the restaurants tack on a 20% tip. I usually tip at least that but this experience didn’t warrant that. $225 for two steaks (smaller filet and ribeye), two taters and 4 drinks. The Broadmoor should be ashamed cuz the hotel should do far better with their restaurants to provide the same level of quality as their resort. Save your money, take an uber to a better restaurant.
We had an amazing experience, Brian did an excellent service, the veal schnitzel was delicious, except for a male host with the glasses that played with his phone. But overall we enjoyed it.
Lovely service & atmosphere.
We ordered the lobster with ginger sauce appetizer, and we were VERY disappointed with the fact that it came with what seemed to be a mayonnaise/lemon substitute sauce-- virtually NO ginger taste to it.
Overall it was very good but they forgot to bring us the salad we ordered and brought out the entrees too quickly, we barely had enough time to finish our appetizer.
We were lucky enough to sit in the garden room. It was beautiful. The staff were very friendly, the lamb chops melted in your mouth, the oysters were phenomenal. My only minor issue is that the tables are pretty close together so I was bumped into by staff and patrons repeatedly. Overall it was a terrific setting for a special date night and we will definitely return.
I’ve eaten at the Tavern several times an never had a complaint. Their steaks are great. Desserts are also very good. The service is always impeccable. This time we went on a Friday night and there was a pretty sad country band and line dancing. It is super disappointing to spend $150 for dinner and feel like you are at a roadhouse.
The food is great (overpriced) and although the staff are very professional, they are boring! The whole menu is pricey and not really worth it. I saw a picture of the restaurant and thought it was beautiful, so I reserved a table for date night. We walked in, and I was very underwhelmed. The restaurant did not look at all similar to the picture. The host walked maybe six steps from the door, and we were seated. The manager didn't even ask us if we were finished and took our FULL cup of truffle fries, which by the way costed ten dollars. It's a fine restaurant, but there many other restaurants in Colorado Springs with fun staff, amazing food for a good price and a cool atmosphere.
Great atmosphere, food and service. Love this place❣️
As always, this place does the steakhouse thing right! Can't beat the 6oz Filet either.
We dined in the atrium, and as usual, it was an absolute treat followed by a walk around the lake to see the Christmas lights. Lovely experience!
Just all around wonderful. 5 Star Food and Service.
Everything was great, but a bit pricey for a casual evening of dining.
Excellent meal. The 22 oz you can go through quite easily, but it has the right meaty flavor. My daughter had the lamb, which was superb. Don’t mind the price as that was to be expected, but 3 and 4 each for 1 shrimp or oyster is a little high. Service was phenomenal and supports etiquette and dining with class.
Great menu choices Good service friendly wait staff
