   We went to celebrate a birthday, having lived in the valley for over four years. What a pleasant surprise this place was. We've driven by and talked too much about going but, for some reason, didn't. We now know what we've been missing and regret not having gone earlier.

   The food was ok but the service was bad. Took 30 and asking 3 different staff members to get just 1 refill of my ice tea. That refill finally came at the end of our meal. Also would have liked to have ordered another drink from the bar but that opportunity didn’t happen until the end of our meal. So the place is very nice the food is average at best and zero service. Unimpressed

   This was a great find. Went for Happy Hour/Sunset Dinner so sat in the bar. That is why I gave low marks on noise level. But, to be expected. Food was great. I had the salmon Sunset Dinner and portions were perfect and food was great. Whipped potatoes were not overly warm. My husbands dish was fantastic! He loved it. Service was a little slow but it appeared our server was working in several rooms. We had no schedule so we dealt with it. But I do highly recommend as this is the flagship restaurant of Pacifica in Palm Springs and that is one of our favs.

   Place is great, even on an overcast evening. Service was excellent, ambience was very nice; noise level was as well. Wine list is quite nice. The food was "excellent but". My wife's oysters were very tasty. I wish my perfectly cooked lamb shank had not been so smothered by other stuff that it was hard to (a) find all the pieces once you cut them from the bone, & (b) taste the lamb, for all the competing flavors. All good flavors, just too many, too much, overpowering the wonderfully cooked lamb. I would also say the same about my "scallops on the 1/2 shell", drowned in "stuff" -- all good but hard to taste the scallops underneath.

   The salmon dish is incredible. The service is generally outstanding at Cliff House…we have dined there numerous times…but it fell short this time. It was a Monday night and the restaurant was clearly under staffed. Service was very slow and trying to find someone to refill my water would have been easier and more timely if I was lost in the middle of the desert. Thus was disappointing because Cliff House is a favorite.

   We were visiting the area for my mother’s 78th birthday. I booked this place based on reviews of elevated dinner. The space is crowded, small children screeching, and not enough staff. When we did see our server, she was lovely and knowledgeable. She had too many tables with big parties to attend to us. Salad and bread arrived before wine, which is just peeve of mine. We had a hard time hearing each other. The food was ok. I had Seabass done right but sides lacked; soggy bok choy and very sweet coconut rice. It said curry but there was no curry flavor or spice. We did get a free birthday desert so that was a perk. It was an Ok experience with a hefty price tag.

    Beautiful setting.. sat outside in the evening (7pm). Lovely setting with outdoor lights, fireplace and waterfall … Servers were wonderful… the rib eye steak and lamb shank were the best we’ve ever had…. No kidding. Cooked perfectly! Will definitely return when we are in the area again
