Terrible service. No drink for 35 minutes after we were seated. No food until 45 minutes after we were seated. Wrong order came. Couldn’t wait to leave. So disappointed
Birthday lunch
Great food, lovely authentic French restaurant. Great attention to cleanliness which I appreciate these days!
Just a warm place with consistently good food and service.
Chose this restaurant for a special occasion. Started with 2 servers-1 in tableside training (which was annoying) and then a bit later was greeted by a 2nd server who was very good. Good indoor COVID rule compliance. Excellent food
I love this restaurant!!!!
Always consistent French. Nothing over the top and all as advertised
We had a lovely meal at La Merise. For the 1st course I had the house salad and my husband had the Caesar. Both were excellent, the greens, etc. were fresh and the dressings were perfect. For the main course I ordered the sea bass and my husband the steak frites. The Seabass had excellent creme fraiche and caviar, which enhanced an already delicious dish. My husband’s steak was done perfectly and the fries were crispy just the way he likes them. The portion sizes were generous so we took half home. I had the chocolate mousse for dessert. It was so good I wanted to order seconds. My husband had the bananas foster. The only negative was that the rum sauce could have been thicker.
We have been going here for years and I would highly recommend this restaurant.
If you are looking for a dining experience that is authentically Parisian, La Merise in Cherry Creek is the place to go. The food and the ambiance are authentically French. As the French would say, "C'est formidable!"
Great! Excellent service, very good dining experience, and warm, engaging ambience.
We love the "vibe" at LaMerise - chic and casual elegance, delicious and varied menu, excellent wine selection, attentive and efficient service. Our server, Anastasia, was the consummate pro making our dining experience even more special than expected. LaMerise has high standards and they make the entire experience seamless. One of our favorite places for a special occasion as this was.
The Onion soup was deep and rich and since just the single toasted slice of bread on top is never enough, they add croutons too.
The chef's omelette was simply amazing! Who would think that blue cheese would work so well?
The berry crepe dessert , stuffed with berries and whipped cream and drizzled with cream anglaise was exquisite.
French Onion Soup was “souperb”. The staff were pleasant and helpful.
Excellent food, good service, overall wonderful experience.
La Merise is always great, and their trout was superb!
A great place for lunch, featuring French bistro cuisine.
A lovely setting. I did not care for the Escargot. It was prepared differently than before and the sauce overwhelmed the snails. Entree was also not a favorite for me but the others liked it. The preparation was probably fine - just not what I should have ordered.
Wonderful restaurant, fine French food, wonderful service
Comfortable and relaxing. The service was unhurried but not slow. The food was well flavored and the presentation was excellent, not overdone. Good menu choices offer an opportunity for return visits. We will come back.
If this is a repeat, forgive me but my internet connection was lost the first time around. Our reservation was earlier in the evening to escape large crowds and the decision was sound. Our appetizers (mussels and beet salad) were superb as was the service. Cocktails and wine suggestions were on point and a good pour (which is always appreciated).
Main courses were the veal and duck. Both were very good with outstanding sauces. Portions were as expected and served when expected. A very nice table with outstanding view to activity on the street which kept us entertained.
Pricing met expectations. Our overall experience was very good. Of particular note were our server and the appetizers. Those two aspects of our experience were better than outstanding. Mussels were the best I've ever had and our server was really good. She was prompt, courteous, attentive, and very professional. Too bad I didn't get her name because she is a definite value add to the restaurant.
We'll definitely visit La Merise again when in the Denver metro area and it was well worth the 20 minute drive from our Hotel.
Quick seating, awesome waiter and service
This is a charming little spot… Very friendly staff! The food was average… My tuna was very fatty… I took a few pieces and put them on a side plate to show the waitress – There was also way too much dressing on it. My husband agreed… I was not offered something else and there was no discount on the check period the desert was amazing… But I would stay away from the tuna Nicoise.
A bit crowded for a Thursday night. This may have made service a little less than stellar, but generally good. Food was good, especially Brussels Sprouts, Gorgonzola Salad and Beef Bourgogne.
Roger was awesome. Food was great. We will be back
On arrival, I misstepped on the bottom stair, banging up my knees. I wonder if this is common, & if so, perhaps some caution tape might help.
Once seated everything improved. Our server was attentive but not overbearing. We wanted for nothing throughout our dinner. Everything about our meal, from apéritifs to dessert, was delicious. Your espresso was the best I've had outside a cafe.
Aside from my initial stumble & the noise level, I enjoyed myself immensely, as did my dinner companion. I will go back.
It was my turn to plan date night for my husband and I. I’m typically not the most adventurous when it comes to trying new foods but I am SO GLAD I did! This was seriously the best meal I’ve ever had!! From our appetizer (Order the Brussels sprouts they’re life changing!) to our desert (I’m still dreaming of that chocolate mousse). You’ll be so glad you dined here. Our waiter Cesar so friendly, kind, and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back!! Thank you La Merise!
Wonderful celebration. Food and service amazing. We will be back
Absolutely delightful! The ambiance, the food and the wine. This is hands down one of the best dining experiences in Denver. We were four and every dish was not only delicious, but presented beautifully. If you look at the photos their website-- that's exactly what you can expect. We had the trout, steak and frites, and the beef bourguignon. We all chose to have wine by the glass and tried several different varieties-- and all lovely. This is a don't miss!
La Merise is always great. They consistently have great service and equally as great of food. If you go, be sure to check out their seasonal dishes as well.
The food was terrible and overpriced. Very disappointing
Always dependable and enjoyable in Cherry Creek North. La Merise never disappoints.
The restaurant has a quaint and romantic ambiance, and the service is excellent. I used to manage a French Bistro in Washington, DC for many years and probably have a biased opinion, but the food was "hit or miss". We loved the chicken liver mousse pate and lamb chops, but the escargot was subpar and the Nutella crepe was rubbery and almost undercooked. I got the Steak Frites and although it had a lovely garlic butter flavor on top, it was a tough cut of meat. We are unsure about returning, and if we do, we'll certainly try other things on the menu.
Add a soufflé to the menu! :)
Service was a lil slow, but overall, one of our fav spots.
The service was VERY slow. We felt like an afterthought for our server. The food was as delicious as always!!
We stopped at La Merise for dessert Sat evening. The seating on the patio was very comfortable with heaters. Our server was very attentive. The food looked great, so I’m looking forward to going back for a full meal! We had the chocolate mousse and crème brûlée, and both were excellent👍🏻👍🏻
We were there for a birthday with a group of seven.
Some of the dishes were great, some were very subpar. The liver pâté was delicious and the pork medallions were out of this world. We were disappointed by the escargot which had way too many herbs on it. The duck in the duck salad was so salty it didn’t even taste like duck anymore.
Very authentic small french restaurant. Very good food. Service is a little slow but that is normal for french restaurants (especially in Paris). My wife had the Salmon and she said it was fantastic. I had the pork medallions and they were very good. We also had a cheese plate for desert which was fantastic.
What is typically a quiet, relaxing weekend brunch experience was totally upsetting given that a large group (8) of diners subjected the entire restaurant to their loud conversations with multiple people talking over each other for what was a lengthy and roudy get-together. A sports bar may have been a more appropriate dining destination for them. While the restaurant has no real control over such situations (for fear of offending customers) it's unfortunate they could not have been seated in the back room rather than in the middle of the main dining room. Their enjoyment was at the expense of all other diners.
Food is always excellent as is the service.
Always tres bien! You deserve to eat their delicious food!
