Good food. Service was better than the last visit. An enjoyable visit. A nice place to go for a dinner.
miss going to Paris? go to La Merise it's the next best thing. exceptional friendly service combined with the best French bistro cooking in Denver makes this a compelling spot. Also. the food and wine are fairly reasonable by French standards.
This restaurant offered some great crepes. We ordered 4 different flavors and they were all tasty. Each had there own unique & savory sauce.
We love La Merise; we go every Sunday. They are unbelievably consistent regarding food and service. We love the ambiance and the staff. Highly recommend!
Best place in cherry creek for ambience and quality! Never disappoint and always the same great level of service.
I do love dining here, however the owner (I think) was a little terse with me as the other party was running late. We were out of there in 90 minutes even though she was 15 minutes late. I was on time and found out the person I was meeting got held up right as I sat down. If there is a time restriction for the table, that should be communicated at the outset, not once you've been seated.
La merise is one of our favorite restaurants, we’ve been there numerous times have tried a lot of the dishes and they’re all amazing
Love this restaurant. Great French food.
Best food and service in Cherry Creek. Always consistent and good.
We have eaten here many, many times over the years, but the restaurant seemed slammed and the service suffered greatly; we did not see our server for long stretches; wine glasses went empty for long periods, and the staff seemed stressed and ill-tempered, which is not our usual experience. Finally, the patio needs more heaters, please!
I have been coming to La Merise for years with no problem and have had great experiences. However, this time our server was a young lady, inexperienced, and non-caring whom I had seen for the first time. Since we were dining outside, we asked for a heater. We were told one was broken, the other one was for a reserved table!!! So we had to brave the very cool night. So, the restaurant was not prepared for satisfying its customers. Our server wasn’t helpful either. After serving the food, she totally disappeared until I had to go inside and find her for some more bread. This was not a good experience, and I am hoping the restaurant management is smart enough and bring back their reputation to where it was.
Wonderful service, food is superb! Love this restaurant it never fails to be outstanding
As always, delicious food and wonderful service great m Jonni.
Service was excellent, food was great and the timeing of the service was perfect. Looking forward to dining with you again on our next visit to Denver!!
Everything was great! The waiter recommended an excellent wine and the food was delicious. When it became cold and windy from the air vent, the waiter brought me a blanket and had the air turned off! Best service ever!
We were there for our wedding anniversary. The food overall was very good. The service, not so much. No hostess stand. We were confused how to check in. No employee at the entrance to help. Some other customers seemed confused by this too. Our server was consistent slow with our drinks throughout the entire meal. Food was good and prompt, but bar was slow. I had an empty bottomless mimosas glass at my table and was waiting for her to notice. I look over and see my server busing tables with no guest seated or even waiting for a table. This shouldn’t happen. We didn’t feel like a priority at all. The ambiance was lovely, but the entire restaurant seemed understaffed for brunch. It was busy but not crazy busy.
Lastly, there were no paper towels in the ladies room. I informed our server of this, however when I went to use the bathroom again, still no paper towels.
The food was outstanding and the presentation was beautiful. Although they were very busy our food arrived quickly. The quantity of the food was generous and the quality was excellent. We will definitely make this a place to eat whenever visiting Denver.
Our servers and the pleasant ambience helped make for a very nice dining expererience. And while the food was tasty and attractively served, it did not warrant the price charged.
Love, love, love this place. Food is authentic and always delicious. Note that restaurant closes in the afternoon. Not readily apparent when using opentable. .
Had a wonderful experience at Saturday Brunch. Great service & food.
Roger was a great server. We've now had him twice and he makes great recommendations and takes care of his tables.
The perfect birthday something for everyone enormous dessert menu so save room
The food is consistently very good as well as the service. I missed the omelette and the salmon on the menu but the Nicoise salad was delicious.
Amazing food and the service is wonderful.
La Merise always delivers with delicious food and a great atmosphere! We’ve been countless times for breakfast (you HAVE to try the pancakes!) but only recently went for dinner. It was amazing! Everything was exceptionally tasty, and the restaurant is very charming. I cannot recommend La Merise enough!
This has always been a favorite but I believe they have raised their prices! Especially the drink prices are way out of line. Disappointed
It was great.
I am hopeful that Covid has temporarily affected what is normally a great experience. The service was absolutely terrible. We had a reservation, wasn’t that crowded and they sat us within a few minutes then didn’t return for more than 15 minutes while continuing to scurry around us with no acknowledgement. Prosecco was ordered and never delivered. We were told it was sitting behind the bar but she wasn’t allowed to get it herself and the bartender was very protective. That was a new one and it never did arrive.
Food all showed up at once. While the food was okay it wasn’t enjoyable at the same time. One of our guests asked for a take away cup for her hot tea. Server advised she didn’t think they had any but she would check. Last we saw of anyone. Disappointing at best.
Awesome as always
I would rate higher if I could. From the meal presentation to the service, La Merise is our favorite.
We loved this bistro. Great menu and superb service. The food was good, however, everything we had was over salted, with the exception of our salads. The creme brûlée was a nice way to offset all that salt.
Everything was delicious. Will only go back if I can sit outside..felt alittle vulnerable inside
I enjoyed lunch there are a couple of weeks ago outdoor. Unfortunately there were no outdoor tables available for evening. However sitting inside was fine. The cocktail menu was festive and elegant, the French onion soup was good but could have been a little richer. The duck A L’orange was minuscule. It was barely a few ounces of duck breast for $31. And a better side than mashed potatoes could have been selected, maybe a risotto, spaghetti squash or something more savory. When asked about the desert of the evening, our server had a difficult time describing whatParisian cake was. He kept saying things were very light with a thin layer of chocolate. We passed. we also had to repeatedly asked to have a water glasses filled. I will, however, give it a third try just because the ambience outdoors is lovely and I hope I can get an outdoor table next time.
Great meal with exceptional service! All four of us on a girls night out had delicious food and were allowed to linger. Such a treat!
Loved it. Food and service were amazing.
My Dover sole was Mush!! I told waitress it was over cooked and to tell the chef! She didn’t take it off the bill apologies or offer a desert. You could see I left it on plate and ate my veggie as well as my husbands lunch which was great!
As always, this restaurant is a must if you are in North Cherry Creek. The food, presentation, service and wine selections are impeccable. We had reservations at 7:30 and our table was available and ready for our party to enjoy the evening. It's simply magnifique!
Food is very good but overpriced for Denver
Not the restaurant's fault, but at 6:00pm a huge cement truck pulled up outside on 3rd Avenue and proceeded to work at a deafening sound level until nearly 7:30. Wait staff and management did nothing to help manage the problem; many diners asked to move indoors but, with COVID, that wasn't a great option for all. Service was slower than usual - server blamed "backups at the bar" and it just generally wasn't the experience I wanted or have had before. It'll be a while before I try this place again.
