One of my favourite local restaurants. Great quality authentic food at reasonable prices
Birthday of my partner.
Really lovely quiet evening at Collina. Service was attentive and respectful. Quiet enough to talk properly AND to enjoy the great atmosphere. Wine was very good and my wife’s food (mainly fish) was superb.
Second tome we have eaten here and still great tasting authentic food.
We had a family lunch on a Sunday. This is a gorgeous small restaurant with a focus on really great food. Fantastic wine selection. It’s bright and airy with simple decoration yet comfortable and really pleasant.
Service was impeccable.
We’ll certainly be coming back.
Local family restaurant in Primrose Hill. Friendly and good Italian food with fresh ingredients.
Portions are large and prices are accordingly a little elevated no doubt to reflect that. Proper linen tablecloths and napkins. Altogether a good experience.
La Collina always gets it right. Food always a delight, envied my mate her sea bass, beautifully cooked. Tried the lunch special, the veal saltimbocca. Moist, flavoursome, and loved the rosemary potatoes.
Excellent Italian restaurant nestled in Primrose Hill area, came with good food, service and ambience. The crab pasta was fabulous, highly recommended.
Lovely local Italian restaurant serving great food
We went to La Collina on a warm summer evening to enjoy dinner in their sheltered and private garden. As before it was a lovely evening. The food there is of a high standard- I had perfectly cooked lamb cutlets preceded by delightful pasta. The wine list is varied and not overly priced. Service is always good. Thank you.
La Collina has become my favourite local restaurant. It has been great to eat outside so many times this summer. The food is very consistent and always tasty. There is a reasonably priced wine list. I regularly recommend it to friends and it doesn’t disappoint.
Always a pleasure having a meal there: from the very friendly staff to the amazing quality food. Just a joy
It was lur 40 th wedding anniversary and Patrick made it the most perfect evening for us. We always love coming to La Collina, with family, with friends, dogs but this evening was something special for us. Thank La Collina and Parick
I booked at La Collina after it popped up in my inbox as one of the 'best restaurants with outdoor spaces in London'. Well, I haven't seen outside but indoors is slightly more crammed than my dining table at my tiny flat. As I opened the menu, I noticed that prices were much higher than advertised on OpenTable - clearly it's out-dated and deceiving of the value.
Never mind - I thought I'm in for a delicious plate of pasta so it doesn't matter. Oh boy...
My pasta arrived and it was WAY UNDER-COOKED. (trust me, I'm Mediterranean and ate pasta in Italy several times) - hence know what Al Dente is - and this wasn't. The sauce failed to blend in the pasta as hard as it still was - I could still see a raw line of hard pasta in the middle.
So I called the waiter/owner/barman/doorman altogether, and politely asked him to check my pasta as I think it was severely under-cooked. Without glancing at it, he said "that's impossible, the chef has been making it for X years and it's always 7 minutes in boiling water" suggesting I'm either a liar or a dumb that doesn't know how to eat good pasta.
Anyways, I stopped eating - I couldn't stomach it or it'll make me sick. Waiters passed by several times noticing my full plate of pasta on the side - they even took the plate off my table and no-one even bothered to ask what's wrong.
In the end, I wasn't charged for my dish - yet no one communicated anything at any time. All good money wise but all I wanted is a nice pasta dish and memorable experience. I guess I got the latter in one way or another.
Experience was very easy, the food is really good. I’ve been a few times and usually get the bolognese which is really good. I noticed that the waiters were really helpful to people around - they opened the back up to allow an elderly couple in and had preprepared their table with champagne and wine for them which was really nice.
As with all restaurants, must check the bill before paying in case of any additional unexpected items
This is a very special spot! Great for everyday dining and special occasions! The food is spectacular and the people who work there are incredible!!!! ENJOY!!!
This restaurant is incredible. The quality of food is outstanding and the service is impeccable. I would definitely recommend it to people who are fed up of all these fake Italian chains and want to try authentic Italian food.
A really excellent "local" restaurant with a delightful team. Husband and wife are Maitre D and Chef respectively and have been running this establishment for a number of years. The quality of food (fresh ingredients, home made pastas, very good fish, authentic and well prepared), service and level of detail and attention are consistent and high. A super "local" restaurant. Recommended.
Absolutely loved our dinner. Sat outside on the patio. All dishes were delicious. House red wine was delicious
A superb London dining experience. We can’t wait to return!
Really good Italian in a neighborhood setting. Pasta is amazing, fresh mushrooms and top quality ingredients. Love.
Amazing dinner and atmosphere!
This is a really impressive small local restaurant. Salads, main courses and tiramisu were all fantastic. Don't be frightened to order cheapest house white wine in 500ml carafe - it's really good. We drunk the Valpollicella Ripasso with main courses - really very good.
Very pleasant meal, maybe a bit pricey
Every aspect of dining in this lovely neighbourhood Italian restaurant is great! I go often.
Very nice friendly service. Pleasant ambiance and good food. Hadn’t been for a while but will definitely go back
Don’t have anything new to write. As always everything was perfect last Sunday and if possible my paccheri was even better. We love coming on Sunday evenings as it is so peaceful and though we miss Patrick , Luca is a really excellent replacement and he loves Jama the Labrador who also thinks La Collina is his favourite restaurant.
Great food and good wine. Very decent veggie options - although would be nice to have s choice of main courses. Love this place.
As always we had a great dinner at La Collina. Patrick was not there but Luca looked after us so well. What made it even more special was not only as always could we bring Jama the black lab in, but Koa the cocker spaniel came too!!!
Terrific casalinga cooking, excellent value, lovely place all around.
We had one of the best New Year celebrations at La Collina. The menu was amazing. The atmosphere very jolly. Patrick and his staff continue to amaze me at how such a small number of them cope so brilliantly
Lovely, small-scale neighborhood restaurant with excellent food (we went there twice and were only visiting the area for a few days) and super friendly service. Our group had pasta, fish and meat dishes and were happy with all of them. Reasonable prices. Not noisy! Wish we lived there, we'd go there all the time!
An excellent family Italian restaurant, very close to Regents Park. Food was delightful and the service was impeccable. Thoroughly recommended.
As always La Collina was superb. On Sunday we brought noisy great niece and nephew and Patrick dealt with it in his usual calm and warm fashion. We think of La Collina as our family restaurant.
Good as usual, great local find, been coming here for ages.
Great food, good polite service, goof value for money. Nice ambience
Meeting with friend emigrating. Very good service and adaptability.
Accommodating and helpful with good food and hospitality
La Collina is always brilliant whenever we go. Last Sunday we went with some visiting American friends. The food was amazing. For the first time I abandoned yummy pastas and had the veal chop with mushrooms and truffles. It was divine. Hope it’s on the menu again.
We enjoyed our dinner enormously, thanks to the outstanding quality of the food and the splendid, unobtrusive service.
This location, in its various incarnations has been special for me for more than 30 years. When we lived around the corner it was our neighbourhood go-to destination. We now live more than 3000 miles away, but visit on every London visit.
