La Bottega - Vail
The restaurant was out of five items on the menu. The cocktail was below average. We had to send it back for something else. Extremely disappointing.
Excellent service and delicious cuisine! Bellissimo!
Could be due to the recent virus realities we are all facing but limited menu, waited far too long for drinks, basically sandwich type menue with limited other options, and over priced. Will not return.
Always great food and service.
Not a fan. Four of us ate here and no one finished their entire meal. Salads were fine but the entrees were not. Osso Bucco was terrible. Asked for additional dressing for one of the salads and our waiter never came back. They weren’t very busy either. It seemed really expensive for Italian food. There has to be better Italian food in Vail. Won’t go back for sure.
Always good food and service. Pasta is large portions so we can always share. Definitely a favorite in Vail.
All the best practices for COVID were in place. We received the best service and loved all of our dishes. The restaurant was busy but had plenty of separation between tables.
Excellent service, excellent food!
Table for 2, attentive staff and wonderful food.
We were put in the back room and we wanted to be in the main finding area.
We used to always enjoy La Bottega but something changed this summer. The food was simply mediocre. The pasta and salads just weren’t up to the usual standard. It is as if they decided to scrimp on ingredients and quality to save money. The service was horrible. I hope it improves.
Great service great food.....no wait excellent service excellent food in fairy Vale great place to people watch as well.
Our group of six enjoyed good italian food at La Bottega. Everyone liked the restaurant. Our table was a little crowded feeling ....in the “pathway”. Our first assigned table was more in a corner - probably better for distancing but the door was opening and closing right next to us. This is a lively, popular restaurant. I do recommend it.
Pasta dishes were excellent and wine list reasonable. Great experience.
Seated us in the bar which was empty but the TV was blasting and serves were watching TV and the service was awful. Not busy but we had to wait for everything and the TV was turned down but not low enough as no customers were watching. Ridiculous!
Absolutely Amazing!! So delicious & authentic Italian! Loved it!
A nice variety of food. Very good seafood entrees. Only disappointment was that they took trout off the menu the night before and that was the dish our cousin was most looking to enjoy.
Decent wine prices and good social distancing (we had to eat inside due to weather) and safety practices.
I was expecting great food from this place considering the price of the dishes. I was immediately put off when I noticed staff not wearing gloves especially during a pandemic. I ordered the spinach & ricotta cannelloni. It was good but not worth $25. The bathroom was also dirty and smelled awful. Don’t think I’ll ever return or recommend this place in Vail.
We were seated as if we did not have a reservation. Had to wait for silverware and a menu that was then thrown on the table and not explained to us.
My beet salad was missing half of the ingredients. NOT WORTH THE COST. We were incredibly disappointed with our visit and will not be returning.
Wonderful food, wine and service! Can’t wait to go back!
Excellent meal. Similar to food we got in Italy. Highly recommend the carpaccio, octopus, and goat cheese in marinara appetizers. Gnocchi were pillowy soft. Tira misu and cheesecake desserts were first-rate versions of both. Ambiance was dated, but service was very good.
Hard to have a quality experience right next to the bus lane. There did not seem like there was a priority toward safety and cleanliness in light of cv.
Octopus was tough and cold.
Service was great...moved us inside when it started raining. Loved it!
Love La Bottega and frequent the restaurant often. The meals were mediocre at best this visit. A bit disappointing but it won't stop me from going again -
Very good food, overall good service , some tables are not that good and ours was on the way on many people walking pass all the time, yet we have made reservation way far in advance.
Amazing food!! This is our third time dinning here and they never disappoint. The Truffle gnocchi is to die for and we drive from Colorado Springs just to indulge and savor ever little pillow of awesomeness. We will be back again!
From appetizers to desert everyone was happy with there choice. Nice range of choices on the menu
Expensive prices for poor quality food. I ordered the Greek salad with chicken. The chicken was overcooked the first time and sent it back only to be given a new salad with chicken that was so tough it was inedible. When we talked with the waiter it was as if we were ignored. My husbands dish was okay and my kids got pizza that was no better than any other pizza.
The atmosphere is nice, but seemed pretty expensive overall for what you get.
Waiter very pleasant and knowledgeable, but over-extended. Service was very slow. Had to ask for more balsamic and parmesan twice before finally receiving. Entrees were extremely slow and it was late with only half the tables occupied. Wife's pasta was very good, my veal marsala was tough and relatively tasteless.
The Lobster Ravioli was just ok. The sauce was not what I expected. Arugula Salad was delicious. My friend had the gnocchi and it was very good. Wine was very pricey!
Terrific service, great authentic good and amazing ambience and setting. We had outdoor seating one evening and liked it so much we went back for carry out the next night. Our host and server from the first night recognized us and were very nice.
Great Italian food! Veal scallopini was delicious!
They were very accommodating with our requests. We really appreciated that!!! highly recommend!
Downhill since I have been there last overcooked pasta, undercooked pizza go to La Nonna don’t waste your money hype is feeding this restaurant
Food was good, but pricey. It was about $10 to add shrimp to my pasta and the shrimp was like medium sized, not the grilled/butterflied yummy shrimp you expect at a fine-dining place. It was also really loud in there. The staff was nice, but didn't try to make a real connection, and were just moving about quickly to get us in/out.
Wonder drinks, meal and ambiance
Unfortunate experience. Great reviews online but a bad, uncaring snooty waiter who completely ignores you even after you state the food was overcooked and bland and then drops off the bill without a word, apology, or manager visit earns a one star rating this time. The other wait people seemed good were providing good service. A bad apple I suppose. Will not return or suggest to others.
Great food! They did a nice job with the social distancing. My son’s favorite restaurant.
Not one of the upscale restaurants in Vail. The tables and the look of the entire restaurant are just average. The plates were also run down.
I had lobster ravioli, which was ok. My husband had the lamb, which was also good. Profiterole was good.
Kids had ice cream that was basic, it did not come with a chocolate sauce, like it did when we dinned at Lancelot.
Unfortunately they did not have the Zabaione dessert. Red sangria was ok.
I thought that it was a bit overpriced for the quality.
At one point it started to rain with thunders and the server did not invite us inside the restaurant. We had to rush through the dessert and get out of there, before we got soaked.
