La Bonne Table
Always outstanding. Ask Yo for wine recommendations. Very knowledgable
Always an exceptional experience.
Small, intimate place with fabulous food. Great attitude but only downside is slow service.
Sunday brunch at la bonne table is the best kept secret in San Diego. Consistently delicious food , great service and ambiance.Must try!
La Bonne Table is as charming as it gets. The ambiance is stellar and the food is delightful French County. The wine list has good selections at a fair price. This is a little jewel of a restaurant!
Wonderful, intimate setting with well prepared dishes that are worth their price. Great for a date night or special occassion.
My absolute go to Sunday brunch spot...never disappointed, always fresh and delicious.❤
Continues to be our dinner in Paris night! So popular now it’s hard to get a reservation but worth waiting for!
La Bonne Table hits all the high notes. Go here is you like an intimate and charming ambience, attentive and unhurried service, and well-prepared food. I particularly love the duck confit and trout amandine, and my dining companions have raved about the French onion soup and cassoulet.
This was our 3rd time in, 2nd brunch. Food and service are excellent. We will definitely return.
We had to wait 35 minutes after our reservation time but the staff was very nice and comped us a salad and a glass of wine.
Menu is limited but food really good
Duck confit the best I’ve had
Would highly recommend! Food and service was great
This restaurant never fails to delivery great quality food, service and ambiance.
Great food. Great service. Shared escargot, steak frites, pork chop. All stellar and delicious. Wine was equally good. Great place for quality!
Excellent food, service, atmosphere, looking forward to trying more menu items
This little restaurant tucked away in San Diego is a huge gem. A local friend told us about it and we had a wonderful dinning experience here. It’s the next best thing to dinning in France. The menu is classic country French, farm to table, and everything was prepared perfectly. This is as good as it gets.
A true treasure for a lovely French meal. Enjoy!
Excellent food for an excellent price. Nice small restaurant with great service. The bone marrow was a huge highlight.
Very little and cozy place. Food is just mediocre. Service is good.
Service is top notch and the door is absolutely Amazing.
Lovely place and hight quality food
Love this place - I've been many times and it never disappoints!!!! I look forward to my next visit.
Exceptional!!! A beautiful Complimentary champagne treat to celebrate a birthday was a WOW! All of the food was fantastic. A new favorite.
50th Birthday. Small but excellent menu. Cozy and not commercial dining room. Will definitely be back.
Great experience, the food was amazing.
An authentic, intimate, and elegant French restaurant in a gritty neighborhood. You'd never expect old world tradition in this location. Everything about this place "screams" Paris.
The escargot was the winner among entrees. Garlicky and well prepared. Among the entrees, the beef dish was about the best beef we've had in town. Order it medium rare. The trout...what can I say? I've had better. The wine was limited, but adequate.
The service was appropriate for a stuffy restaurant, a little stuffy. but have no issues with how we were treated.
Dinner for two, including drinks, an appetizer for each, and no dessert, with tip and tax was $175. Pricey, a dinner price that I can accommodate rarely.
A once in a lifetime experience everyone n San Diego should experience. Is it a twice in a lifetime experience? Not sure.
Neighborhood gem. The onion soup, the escargots, the duck confit and the steak frites are as good as in the best french bistrot. Service by Victor is perfect: always present but unobtrusive.
Very good. Could use additional tables
Great food and service (though when dining at this type of restaurant we are not looking for fast but friendly and timely service).
We would seated promptly. It is small (10 tables) cozy and gives a 'French' vibe. Food was excellent.
Love the atmosphere! I would ask if they could switch up their fries - seemed tasteless and perhaps frozen - maybe we go an old batch? Old-school french restaurant.
My husband and I eat dinner here at least once a month. Everything about the experience is exceptional: the menu, the service, the quality of the food, and the atmosphere. Even a seat at the bar is fun! This is my absolute favorite restaurant in San Diego.
Great French Restaurant. Like all the reviews say the Pork Chop is probably the BEST in town. We were greeted with a complimentary glass of champagne to celebrate our Anniversary. Downside: slow paced, very small dining area, 1 server/bartender for restaurant. If you don't mind the slow pace, this would be 5 stars!
Service and ambiance was good but food was lack luster except for the Escargot and Creme brule. It was good but I was expecting more based on reviews.
I love French bistro food so everything on the menu sounded delicious to me. With our table of 4, each person got a different appetizer, entree, and dessert so with friends that like to share, we each got to sample a lot of what La Bonne Table has to offer. Normally, French food portions can be small, but I have to say I was pleasantly stuffed after my 3 courses. The escargot was the hit of the evening simply because it's preparation allowed even the skeptics to enjoy eating snails. The duck was sublime, the pork chop hearty, the steak tender, and the trout moist. Dessert was the only reason I knocked my review down a star as the crepes suzette was a bit chewy and bland while the chocolate mousse was too much whipped cream and not enough chocolate decadence. The creme brulee was outstanding and the tarte tartin was a classic. Love the atmosphere and will definitely be returning. I am putting it on par with the OB location of Bo-Beau and a notch above Bleu Boheme on Adams.
We had a memorable meal during Restaurant Week. Four of us shared four wonderful choices of apps, mains and desserts. Service was perfect, cocktails were delicious and the servings were generous. Highly recommended.
My wife and I went to La Bonne Table on a Monday evening and the place was totally full, which isn’t hard to do because it’s also very small. But pretty much as soon as we sat down we realized why, the waiters were incredibly friendly and attentive, the food smelled incredible and it very much felt like a small Parisian bistro. We had the escargot, onion soup, pork chop and duck confit, followed by the crime brûlée and the chocolate mousse. Everything was absolutely delicious, the sauce on the pork chop was crazy good. 5/5 we will absolutely be going back here. A real gem in Hillcrest.
all was good. food especially perfect. nice find. good experience
Service was amazing! The food was classic French. And the atmosphere was relaxed.
Delicious food! Would recommend the wine pairing during restaurant week!
