La Bonne Table
Fabulous experience. Wonderful ambiance. Friendly attentive waiters. The kitchen was able to adapt one of the entrees for my wife, too. Oh, yes. The food was spectacular.
Delightful, as always.
As always, the food and service were both excellent. We brought friends who had never eaten there and they loved it too!
We always have excellent service from Victor. The food is superb. We have recommended it to several of our friends. It is our favorite restaurant.
Nice small restaurant, very much like the bistros you find in Paris, with excellent food and excellent, friendly service. Our Uber driver recommended it, we were just in San Diego for one night, and our hotel was about 10 minutes from La Bonne Table. We had the onion soup, and pork with green pepper sauce, both very good.
One of my top spots in S.D.
Loud diners in small space!
Super cute, simple, quiet place. Good french classics menu. A good value for the portions. However, much of the food, particularly the escargot seemed dramatically under-seasoned to our table. In my book eating snails = eating lots of garlic, not just herby butter. Not so here. Cocktails are GREAT, and bone marrow was excellent. I would go back when in town again.
Small and intimate, Always Magnifique! Crepes are sublime!
Love this restaurant. very quiet with few tables. Authentic french cooking with simple menu. Friendly staff. Love that the owner is the chef and you can taste the passion in his food.
Food was excellent and a bit unique matched with excellent service.
We celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary and enjoyed the thoughtful complimentary champagne when we arrived. Delicious food and cooked to perfection. Love the intimate and quiet setting. Definitely a go to place for great steak.
Outstanding each and every visit.
Last visit both my inches-thick pork chop and my wife’s duck confit were incredible.
Service as always was wonderful.
Our very favorite downtown restaurant.
Late dinner after movie. My husband thought Onion soup was just OK. Frisée salad was good. Very generous portion of Mussels.
This is now one of our favorite restaurants. Our friends from Palm Springs insist on going here when they come to San Diego as they feel like they have been transformed back to Paris. The waiter, Victor, is fabulous and always make us feel welcome and at home. A true gem.
Another memorable dinner at what has become my favorite French bistro in San Diego. My son and I ordered four items and asked for them to be served one at a time , and we shared each course. Perfect! We enjoyed the escargots, frisee salad, moules aux frites, and trout. Hard to pick out a favorite, but must say that the trout is better and more moist than any fish I've had at any fish restaurant in San Diego. Do order the French 75 cocktail. Very French and very refreshing!
Never have a bad meal. Always excellent and the waiters are friendly.
Consistently great food, excellent service. This is our go-to-France in San Diego. Thank you, Chef Tristan & Staff.
Wonderful food and team. The duck and trout were fabulous!
As always, food and service are fantastic. Highly recommend trying La Bonne Table if you’ve never been before.
Best Croque Madame I have ever had. My wife’s omelette, cheese and ham and other things looked beautiful and tasted great. Outstanding Mothers Day brunch experience
The food was bland. The gratin had no flavor. The seasonal lamb shank was smothered in a red sauce that stole away how the lamb should taste. However the mussels were pretty good.
Place is always a great ambiance. Great and simple food. Very oh la la
The food was excellent, as always. I particularly like the Duroc pork chop. The chocolate mousse for dessert is outstanding. Service is always faultless.
A wonderful brunch experience - the food was delicious and with great presentation, service was excellent and we felt welcome with no pressure to leave. It's lovely to be able to stay and chat. I'd recommend it in a heartbeat!
Wonderful food and service all-around. Would love to visit again soon.
A lovely family run small restaurant which serves genuine French bistro food. They truly treat you as if you are a guest in their home. A real touch of France. Who knew such a exquisite place could be in San Diego.
This is a tiny quaint venue with charm and a nice menu. The food was quite well prepared and served by accommodating staff.
Charming environment - intimate and tasteful. Authentic French food. Great service.
We have eaten here four times now. Always the food is excellent. This is a classic French restaurant. It reminds me of the bistros in Paris. Small. Intimate.. superb food. Excellent service. Always enjoyable.
This little bistro is so quaint. The servers are very attentive and very pleasant with a smile non their faces at al times. I love the ambiance of the place, very soothing. The food is magnificent.
Exceptional service and wonderful food. LBT is a gem that has become our favorite restaurant. We recommend LBT to everyone!
This is my favorite neighborhood restaurant. Tonight I celebrated my birthday here. I began with the frisée salad, which is lightly dressed and includes a slice of toasted baguette topped with goat cheese and walnuts. The roasted duck thighs are done to perfection and served with Brussels sprouts in light mustard sauce. The portion is so generous that I took home half which I will enjoy tomorrow. Dessert was creme brûlée. The decaf expresso was excellent. The service is impeccable.
Having dinner here brings back memories of cafes in Paris.
Was from out of town, found this slice of Paris on Open table and enjoyed every aspect, especially it's small café ambiance.
Excellent food, excellent service, small dining room and bar. Every table was filled, but the noise level quiet for good conversation. Highly recommend.
Love, love, love me some La Bonne Table. Great service, great food and great ambiance! Probably the only restaurant in San Diego where you can actually here yourself speak. No loud, raging music which makes this place even more cozy and inviting. Highly recommend.
The food here is consistently excellent and the service superb. The atmosphere is intimate and romantic. We love it.
First time there and enjoyed. Ordered the mussels that came with chunks of lobster. I'm not sure that the lobsters didn't get over powered by the broth. Not bad at all, but for strictly my tastes I would have preferred omitting the lobster and amping up the garlic. Wife had the strip steak, which is always her last choice of steak. She said it was fixed perfectly, tasted delicious, and ate almost all of it.
Ambiance reminded me of a small restaurant/bar in France. Really nice. Service appeared to be handled by one waitperson, but no complaints about the service.
Small and quaint neighborhood dining. Many traditional French menu items, prepared nicely. Suitable French wine selections. Service as attentive without being overbearing. Mellow background music.
Great food and service!
