La Bella Vita
We had a fantastic waiter named Ivan. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. Our food came out very quickly. The portions are large and the food is delicious.
We have dined at La Bella Vita numerous times and the service and food are consistently outstanding. The only complaint is the noise level. It is difficult to carry on a conversation at times, at a normal volume. It probably isn't the restaurants fault though. It is typically a few loud individuals that think they are the only group at the restaurant and everyone else has to compensate in order to be heard.
12th anniversary. Foot waiter. Good food.
It has been a year since returning to this restaurant for New Years Eve. The interior of the restaurant is horribly inadequate and needs a professional designer to make it look good. It’s hard to rate the food since the Menuet was limited and the prices were much higher than their regular menus. I’ll reserve judgment on the food quality until I come back and order off the regular menu. Overall the experience was good but not great.
Food and service were both excellent and would merit a 5 star rating. We both had the Vitello Marsala and were very pleased with the food. However, the décor is outdated and the noise level was very high on a busy night making it difficult to carry on a conversation so we gave it an overall 4 star.
Ivan took great Care of us.. I was disappointed that you were out of the cod But the salmon was a nice substitute. I’m sure we will the back soon.
We went to La Bella Vita for our anniversary and could not be happier with our choice. The restaurant looked freshened up from our previous visit - new paint, newly covered booths and a new patio look with lights overhead. Our waiter was very helpful, fully explaining the specials and offering up a selection of his menu favorites that might be overlooked. He also offered suggestions on a salad and a soup. We took 3 of his suggestions and they were all absolutely delicious! The food here is not to be missed and we are already looking forward to our next visit.
An amazing Christmas Eve dinner! Everything was wonderful... our server Niki was fantastic, very knowledgeable with a great personality keeping our time upbeat and light! Will return for Christmas again next year!8
Very, very noisy
Well normally we love LBV, but when you’ve been coming here as long as we have and you get relegated to the back room like unwanted, superfluous, relatives; it will make me think twice before coming here for a special occasion again. Christmas Eve dinner should be special, ambient, relaxing, which is why we chose to go out in lieu of cooking two days in a row for a semi large group of people. We went early before 5 and were seated in the “warehouse” style back room which I believe is used for banquets and apparently overflow on holidays. There is zero charm here what so ever, only to be made worse by the folding chairs, plastic tables, terrible lighting and lack of any kind of decor whatsoever. To make matters worse, service was extremely slow, and the volume in the concrete bunker was extremely loud. The 8 of us could barely hear each other across the table, partly due to the table of 20 behind us. After at least an hour we received 1 bowl of soup and 1 salad, only to wait another looooong period of time before our entrees came. Thankfully they were all hot and delicious as expected and as is usually the case with Chef Guiliano, he is a consummate professional, the only bad thing I can say is that in the past several years and two previous managers, his new management decision is his only bad choice I have seen to date. The pace of the restaurant has been off ever since the previous manager left, the staff has changed, and we have had more problems then benefits recently, things that NEVER occurred in the many many years we have been coming here. We called ahead for 2 gluten free pastas only to be told there were none available...at 5 in the afternoon after we called 4 days ahead of time?? Really? Then when questioned abt it again, they magically became available. I can only say after spending several hundred dollars for a pleasant, relaxing, family get together, it turned out to be anything but.
We always enjoy going to La Bella Vita. But something should be done about the lighting with the open wires -- looks like a bunch of extension cords across the ceiling. It's also quite noisy.
Love the food here. Cute little restaurant. Highly recommend for any occasion. Real Italian good.
Fantastic all around.
The food is fresh and amazing, this is our number 1 choice for Italian fare in COS
Reservation was for 7PM and they were over a 1/2 hour late. This place cannot honor their reservation times booked it before happens every time. Food was cool when served. Very loud. Not sure I will go back.
Our second visit- delicious from soup to main course! Wonderful find of authentic Italian food!
One of the best places to eat in town by far. The waiters are also very knowledgeable and are great. The food is reasonably priced as well.
This was my first visit to the restaurant in over six years. The noise level is very high, they need some help with their acoustics to help deaden the noise. Service was very slow and not very professional. Food was sub par, I would say it’s a step below what is served at Olive Garden. I will definitely not return.
The food was delicious and our waitress was efficient and nice. We had a great time! Highly recommend.
The food and service are impeccable. Everything on the menu is delicious and authentic. It is our favorite Italian restaurant in both Colorado Springs and Denver.
Wonderful dinner as usual from the best Italian restaurant in Colorado Springs! Food & Service was superb, as usual. We'll be back soon!
We had a 7:30 reservation to celebrate a birthday, and had to leave an AF hockey game early to keep the time and not be late. There were no parking spots available in their parking area, so we had to drive behind another building and park. When we arrived and checked in, the Hostess told us that they were running late and we would be seated as soon as possible. After 15 min, I asked again about our table, and the Hostess was short and responded “we can’t kick people out of their tables. We’ll seat you when your table is ready.” My entire party heard this comment, and was disappointed in the attitude and the lateness of meeting our reservation after we left the hockey game early. Good thing the food was excellent otherwise I would have ranked them lower.
We were engaged at this restaurant a couple of years ago and it’s our favorite place. The waiter and wait staff were very attentive. We are celebrating my fathers 80th birthday at La Vita Bella on Dec 15.
Good food as always. It’s tough to get additional bread. (You ask, the bread/water person nods their head “yes” but doesn’t come back unless you ask again. The waitperson took care of it, but it shouldn’t be that difficult.)
Ivan was awesome. Food was wonderful. Only negative is the restaurant lacks ambiance. Needs some art on the walls or something else to improve the interior experience. We will be back soon.
We will return for sure when we visit CO Springs! Food was excellent. Service was excellent.
One of the best true Italian restaurants in Colorado Springs. Definitely recommend if you are looking for good Italian food. A great place for date night or special occasions.
I have an allergy and told them but was still served food with it in it. A woman came to my table and asked if I needed an EpiPen almost mockingly. I had a terrible reaction and was disappointed.
The food was good, waitstaff was friendly, but it was as loud and bright as a school cafeteria!! I was enticed by a picture of the restaurant with white tablecloths and I thought we might have a nice quiet evening. Wrong!
I literally screamed at one point to see if the volume was as bad as we were complaining about— and no one in the restaurant even heard me. And bright harsh lighting from overhead strings of lights which could have been pleasant and romantic if they were smaller Christmas tree sized bulbs, but these were bright, naked and large and looked like an LED light factory.
Won’t be back unless we go for carry out.
The food was delicious, and the service couldn’t have been better. Looking forward to coming back here soon.
The hostess was very friendly, and the server, Hannah, was super chill. She was quick, and friendly, but not overbearing.
Food was good, came out a couple minutes after I ordered.
Overall experience was great.
Two different tables had people talking on their cell phones...one for over 15 minutes, loudly with a voice that carried. It definitely took away from the dining experience.
Amazing food and atmosphere. Service was great too. Can’t wait to go back.
Never less than a 5 star experience. Been there several times.
This is our go to now for Friday family dinner!!
Wonderful service; the food was delicious. Live music would give dining experience some privacy and additional unique experience.
Awesome food, great food. Southern Italy style!
The bruschetta was excellent. Chicken Picatta was very good and the Linguine Pescatore was overall very flavorful and balanced, but the calamari was a little overcooked and rubbery. Otherwise an excellent dining experience. None of the patrons were sitting on their phones. The conversations were lively around the dining room, which made for an energetic atmosphere. It might be considered a little loud by some, but I found it enjoyable.
The food was wonderful and well-made.
Our server was efficient and very friendly.
I was glad that we were given suggestions of which one he likes the best. The food I ordered was really good. The service was also good. Our water was also always filled, which is great, and we were always asked how we were doing. So it was great overall!
