La Bella Vita
The food was amazing. The wait staff was all lovely, polite, answered questions, and gave great recommendations.
Food is excellent, and we grew up in NYC and know good food. Also, Nikki is a true professional.
The best Italian restaurant we have ever been too!
Hidden little gem! The service was fantastic and the food was delicious!! Even on Valentine's weekend when restaurants are packed, we had a wonderful time. Cozy and romantic place!
Service was great and the food was amazing. Probably the best Italian restaurant n Colorado Springs.
It was busy so we were put in a back room with folding chairs, a wobbly table and little to no decor on the walls. I didn't get a reservation for that kind of an experience.
We made reservations on January 2nd to dine at La Bella Vita for Valentine’s Day mainly due to their wonderful reviews. When we arrived they were organized and handling the valentines rush efficiently. We only waited a few minutes to be seated. However, they chose to seat us in their overflow conference room with wobbly tables and folding chairs. Very disappointing for the ambiance of Valentine’s Day, especially given that we made reservations so far in advance. They had open tables in the main dining room when we arrived and as we left so it is unclear why they chose to seat us ( and other guests ) in the conference room. All that aside it wasn’t a horrible experience. They provided excellent service and were very attentive. Their team approach to serving tables was great. The food was excellent as well. Their service and food helped offset the poor ambiance. It seems they could have done a better job offering tables in that room to walk in patrons or for last minute reservations. We would dine there again, just not on Valentine’s Day and not in that room.
We came for Valentines Day and had one of the best restaurant experiences we have had in a while! Great service, great food and the most perfect date night. We will be back!
Really good dinner. Would have liked more vegetarian options
Had reservations (recommended as this place can get very busy even on off days as group/wedding parties sometimes fill it up). Ivan was our waiter and he was very knowledgeable and courteous (I always have encountered their staff to know each dish they serve).
We opened the evening dinner with the Mista salad and followed with the Linguini alla Pescatore (wife) and I had the Spaghetti alla Carbonara. As always - the Pescatore was chock full of seafood with a nice balance of sauce and noodles. The Carbonara had plenty of pancetta with a nice creamy sauce. Generous portions of food on the plates and if you polish them off - doubtful most will have room for dessert.
It was a busy night (day before Valentine's Day) with the service a little slow but we didn't mind as we had a nice conversation going as we waited. Both overflow rooms groups...The decor was updated this past year and looking around the room - you had your standard paintings/drawings of famous Italian sights. However, in one corner was a picture of a lighthouse with the waves crashing around it. Seemed out of place for the setting...High marks for cleanliness of this establishment. From the floors, tables, utensils, glass, and bathrooms. It's obvious the take a lot of pride in appearance.
This is my 1st review of La Bella Vita from having been there 10 times over the past couple of years. My only wish was I had found this gem years earlier. Having traveled to Italy multiple times over the years - this restaurant would fit right in over there. In other words, it's quite apparent their Italian Chef brings us authentic dishes. My wife's co-worker is 3rd generation Italian and their family only goes to La Bella Vita for authentic Italian food and they've tried all the others in the Springs..Need more justification - this restaurant has many multiple awards from Tripadvisor, Springs Best, etc. IMO you can't go wrong with them for Italian food. Highly recommended!
We've been looking for an Italian Restaurant with authentic Italian food since coming to the Springs in 1999. Finally our search has been completed. Excellence permeates every aspect of the La Bella Vita experience, from the friendly and helpful staff to the plentiful menu options and the magnificent meal itself. The crowning glory was the Tiramisu. We will return to La Bella Vita again and again. It is on the top of our list for dinners with friends, family and out of town guests. All I can say if you are lucky enough to live in the Front Range region and are going to dinner here is "buon appetito!"
Had the greatest time and our waiter named Ivan was the best! His personality really showed and my girlfriend and I had a great dinner. The food was exquisite and the wine choices from Ivan helped us. The dessert was a nice touch at the end. Thank you to the staff and Ivan for a great evening.
Food and service were excellent as always, start to finish.
La Bella Vita was very authentic reminding us of when visiting Europe. It was very delicious and fresh!
Excellent food and service . . . great Italian food in Colorado Springs.
My only criticism is that they told me in order to have gluten free I would have had to call them at least the day before, which was not very convenient.
Our server, Mathew, was the best. He explained the specials and easily took care of us. The food was top notch, served hot, and tasted delicious.
The Maitre d' barely acknowledged us as we arrived. She took our name seemed to be bothered by our presence. She grabbed a couple of menus and took us to the table closest to the entrance and unceremoniously dropped them on the table and walked away. We were confused as to if this was our table and stood there waiting for her to return. As she walked back by I asked if this was our table and she indicated that it was and quickly went back to her podium. We sat down and opened the menus and both had oil covering the inside. Also we could feel the cold air coming into the from door. I stopped a waiter walking by, Ivan, and asked if we could have new menus and move away from the door. He immediately introduced himself, moved us and got us clean menus. Ivan then became our waiter and took outstanding care of us and made our experience memorable and amazing. The food was delicious and I can't recommend this place enough. We will definitely visit again.
Food is always excellent, staff conversational and friendly. Matt was excellent
We had a fantastic waiter named Ivan. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. Our food came out very quickly. The portions are large and the food is delicious.
We have dined at La Bella Vita numerous times and the service and food are consistently outstanding. The only complaint is the noise level. It is difficult to carry on a conversation at times, at a normal volume. It probably isn't the restaurants fault though. It is typically a few loud individuals that think they are the only group at the restaurant and everyone else has to compensate in order to be heard.
Food is consistently good. Risotto is as good or better that I have had anywhere, which include 3 years in Italy. I would recommend it to anyone wanting an authentic Italian experience. The fact that the prices are so reasonable is just a plus
12th anniversary. Foot waiter. Good food.
It has been a year since returning to this restaurant for New Years Eve. The interior of the restaurant is horribly inadequate and needs a professional designer to make it look good. It’s hard to rate the food since the Menuet was limited and the prices were much higher than their regular menus. I’ll reserve judgment on the food quality until I come back and order off the regular menu. Overall the experience was good but not great.
Food and service were both excellent and would merit a 5 star rating. We both had the Vitello Marsala and were very pleased with the food. However, the décor is outdated and the noise level was very high on a busy night making it difficult to carry on a conversation so we gave it an overall 4 star.
Ivan took great Care of us.. I was disappointed that you were out of the cod But the salmon was a nice substitute. I’m sure we will the back soon.
We went to La Bella Vita for our anniversary and could not be happier with our choice. The restaurant looked freshened up from our previous visit - new paint, newly covered booths and a new patio look with lights overhead. Our waiter was very helpful, fully explaining the specials and offering up a selection of his menu favorites that might be overlooked. He also offered suggestions on a salad and a soup. We took 3 of his suggestions and they were all absolutely delicious! The food here is not to be missed and we are already looking forward to our next visit.
An amazing Christmas Eve dinner! Everything was wonderful... our server Niki was fantastic, very knowledgeable with a great personality keeping our time upbeat and light! Will return for Christmas again next year!8
Very, very noisy
Well normally we love LBV, but when you’ve been coming here as long as we have and you get relegated to the back room like unwanted, superfluous, relatives; it will make me think twice before coming here for a special occasion again. Christmas Eve dinner should be special, ambient, relaxing, which is why we chose to go out in lieu of cooking two days in a row for a semi large group of people. We went early before 5 and were seated in the “warehouse” style back room which I believe is used for banquets and apparently overflow on holidays. There is zero charm here what so ever, only to be made worse by the folding chairs, plastic tables, terrible lighting and lack of any kind of decor whatsoever. To make matters worse, service was extremely slow, and the volume in the concrete bunker was extremely loud. The 8 of us could barely hear each other across the table, partly due to the table of 20 behind us. After at least an hour we received 1 bowl of soup and 1 salad, only to wait another looooong period of time before our entrees came. Thankfully they were all hot and delicious as expected and as is usually the case with Chef Guiliano, he is a consummate professional, the only bad thing I can say is that in the past several years and two previous managers, his new management decision is his only bad choice I have seen to date. The pace of the restaurant has been off ever since the previous manager left, the staff has changed, and we have had more problems then benefits recently, things that NEVER occurred in the many many years we have been coming here. We called ahead for 2 gluten free pastas only to be told there were none available...at 5 in the afternoon after we called 4 days ahead of time?? Really? Then when questioned abt it again, they magically became available. I can only say after spending several hundred dollars for a pleasant, relaxing, family get together, it turned out to be anything but.
We always enjoy going to La Bella Vita. But something should be done about the lighting with the open wires -- looks like a bunch of extension cords across the ceiling. It's also quite noisy.
Love the food here. Cute little restaurant. Highly recommend for any occasion. Real Italian good.
Fantastic all around.
The food is fresh and amazing, this is our number 1 choice for Italian fare in COS
Reservation was for 7PM and they were over a 1/2 hour late. This place cannot honor their reservation times booked it before happens every time. Food was cool when served. Very loud. Not sure I will go back.
Our second visit- delicious from soup to main course! Wonderful find of authentic Italian food!
One of the best places to eat in town by far. The waiters are also very knowledgeable and are great. The food is reasonably priced as well.
This was my first visit to the restaurant in over six years. The noise level is very high, they need some help with their acoustics to help deaden the noise. Service was very slow and not very professional. Food was sub par, I would say it’s a step below what is served at Olive Garden. I will definitely not return.
The food was delicious and our waitress was efficient and nice. We had a great time! Highly recommend.
The food and service are impeccable. Everything on the menu is delicious and authentic. It is our favorite Italian restaurant in both Colorado Springs and Denver.
