The sea bass was excellent. The server was very attentive and helpful in recommending dessert. The overhead music was a little loud.
This was to celebrate my sons bday. Put that on the original reservation and it wasn’t anything special. First after being seated waited for 5 min for someone to come get our drink order. Food was great. Delicious as usual. We sat around a lot with no food on our table. Orders were messed up slightly and my husbands side of veges never came out (we weren’t charged though) but also didn’t ask about them because everything was slow as it was. We will come back just no time soon. For a birthday dinner I was disappointed.
What late at night for reverse happy hour on Saturday. They had DJ. Great music. Service was great wonderful waitress

Excellect service only downside was the DJ. It was just a little much for a restaurant. If it wasn't so loud I wouldn't mind. I could barely have a conversation over the music.
It was good, good food and decent service.
I ordered the pork chops. They were the driest pork chops ever. The service was not good but I attributed that to the restaurant being exceptionally busy - it was a beautiful Friday afternoon. The Kona Grill usually has fabulous food so I will be back.

Good night, with responsive and attentive staff. The manager delivered our food to our table, and recognized that one of our sushi rolls wasn’t what we ordered. He quickly had the kitchen send out the right thing, and we enjoyed every bit of the meal
Extremely overpriced. The sushi rolls are tiny and average at best, don’t go here for the food.
Eater menu was disappointing. We were not expecting to find a reduced menu without many of the favorite items we like on the regular menu.
We always go to Kona when visiting KC several times a year. Excellent food. Good service. It was too loud this last Saturday evening. We could barely hear each other across the booth.
Sushi menu appeared to be limited due to COVID. Hoping it is back to pre-Covid next time we go!

Horrible! Evidently they no longer value customers! Well food was good but service was horrible. When you drop $400 on dinner you hope food and service ok s good! Will never go again!

Are you ever feeling edamame with a kick? Don't skip on ordering it the 'Angry' way! The edamame is tossed in some cayenne mixture and the after effect is a little zing on the lips from the spice! The Checkerboard & Crunchy Spicy Tuna rolls are not to be missed.

Great place to get good sushi, awesome fried rice & fun drinks. The music was a little loud during dinner, making it hard to talk with our friends.
It took over an hour, and close to an hour and a half for us to receive our entrees. Only after tracking down a manager we’re we actually able to have our entrees delivered. I worked in the restaurant business for almost a decade, so I understand busy kitchens and staff. However, someone should have known way ahead of time that our ticket time was even approaching an hour to begin with.
Granted, we had a decent size order (6 rolls and 2 sashimi), but I told the waiter they could bring out what was ready. He didn’t seem to think this was important.
For $167, I was not overly impressed with the food. It wasn’t bad, but it certainly did not wow me for that price.
The final straw for me was the fact that when the food finally arrived, we were missing a roll. I mentioned to the manager that we were missing food and he said “I’m not trying to argue with you, but you each have a plate in front of you.”
I shouldn’t have to argue with staff about whether or not I received what I ordered. It’s on the ticket. I knew we were missing a roll because my friend and I each ordered 2 rolls, and the two girls we were with each ordered 1. Thats 6 rolls total, and only 5 were brought to the table.
I explained this to the manager, and said that I couldn’t remember the exact name of the roll, especially after waiting almost an hour an a half. He scurried off and returned with the missing roll, stating “sorry about that.” And just as I suspected, I was charged for the roll.
I would have thought him to at least offer to comp the roll that wasn’t going to be brought out had I not said something, or offered a complimentary desert, or a discount for the extremely poor service. None of the above happened.
Thank you for letting me share, I hope someone capable of correcting this has a chance to review my comments and sees to it other patrons are not subjected to this type of experience.
Great food, good service and upbeat atmosphere
We recently went to Kona Grill KC as we have done many times before. All the booth seats were moved around to accommodate for pandemic distancing, however, my husband kept getting his seat pushed back and forth by the couple sitting behind him. The seats were flimsy to the point if you moved, the seats did too. Otherwise, all was fine until it wasn't!
Our waiter was initially attentive and came over pretty quickly. We received drinks and our appetizers in a timely fashion. We had placed our order as we finished our appetizers.
I ordered the Market fish and my husband ordered Sushi. About 10 minutes later my dinner arrived and then we waited............ and waited.......... Finally, after 10 minutes with ZERO acknowledgment, we flagged down another waitress and asked for the Manager. He came over, we explained the situation and he rushed off to find out the situation. When he came back he said it was a "communication" issue between kitchens and that they were getting my husband's sushi prepared. Then we waited...... and waited...... Finally, OUR actual waiter showed up and we again explained the situation and he ran off to see what was happening and then never came back! We continued to wait and after another 10 minutes of waiting, I got up and found two other Managers. I was very upset and angry at this point. One of the Managers was very apologetic, the other one told me that "I could just leave" if I was unhappy!!!
My husband's sushi at that point was delivered, it was 2 each of the 5 pieces he ordered.
We were so upset, so frustrated, and while they took off the price of his that was "all they could do". We could not get out of there fast enough!
When we left we were speaking to another couple while we waited for UBER and they had just experienced a similar situation from the manager. Kona Grill is not worth my $$ if this is the way they intend to treat their patrons. While my food was (cold) but good, I do not recommend & sadly will never go back.

the best food we have had. The picaso sushi roll is amazing! seating took awhile even with a reservation and service was a little slow, just busy i suppose. It was worth it though.

We love Kona Grill. Love the food and casual atmosphere. But on Friday night the very loud pulse vibe dance music coming from the front bar area was too overwhelming for this old couple. We couldn’t talk. Guess we’re just cranky over 60’s. But again, the food is sensational. We just will go on other nights and hope for a lower volume of the music. It’s a younger crowd than we are.
Kona Grill never disappoints! The lively atmosphere, delicious food ,and company of great friends made for a great evening! The miso Sea Bass , sushi rolls, and drinks were a hit for us all.
First time and it was a wonderful experience. Food was yummy with a plethora of choices.

Everything was good except that my steak was over cooked.
Server did a fine job and the food was delicious but the kitchen was extremely slow to get the food out. Even the cocktails took forever to come out.
Waitress was new but she did very well, brunch was excellent and the mimosas were fantastic!
