The food was good and I come here often. The prices are a bit high compared to what you get. The portions are big. I recommend coming during happy hour. It much better on your pocket book and they have a great selection. I would avoid the calamari. It was mostly breading and over cooked. The sushi rolls are amazing along with most of the other apps. The service is some of the best on the Plaza!
Outstanding service, delicious food
My omelet came out swimming in grease so I had to send it back. The second came out and it was still very greasy. I love their Happy Hour but was not impressed with their Brunch.
Surprised that Kona Grille had Sunday brunch! Enjoyed the omelette with asparagus.

Second time we came, second time my $25 open table reward didn’t work. My food came out super early and for an $18 poke bowl, it was disappointing. My husbands filet came out last and cold.
Kona has a great place to take business guests. It's quiet enough that you can have a conversation.
Sarah the Bartender did a great job! She was working the entire bar side along with some tables adjacent to the bar and was attentive, fast to serve and very gracious. Would highly recommend sitting at the bar and having a drink served by Sarah!
Kona was great experience overall. The staff was attentive, EVERYONE was wearing and mask and dinning set up promoted appropriate social distance. 10/10 do recommend to anyone who would love to enjoy a great dining experience!!!
Food was great. Needed to ask for refills on water and drinks. Manager was accommodating. It was very loud, almost had to yell at member of my own table to hear.

I had the prime rib. Cooked perfectly. We also had the wave, sunset and checkerboard rolls. Delicious all round!

We enjoyed it. The food was very good. We had a newer server so we cut her some slack. We had a nice, reasonably private booth which was nice for a valentines dinner. It looked like the Kona was a place to meet and hangout for the younger crowd. I'm sure it would be fun if thay was my thing anymore. The hsd a DJ pushing music, but I did not notice the music while I was eating. Nice place. I would go back

Reduce menu size for Valentine's day. It didn't make since. Our worst experience ever at our favorite sushi restaurant. 👎!!! We got Bbq down the street👍

I don’t know if it was Bc it’s Valentine’s Day weekend, but the food was not good at all.
Terrible dining experience! First off the calamari was under cooked and mushy. The sliders were good though. Took over 30 minutes to order our food after we received our appetizers. Then within 10 minutes I received my sushi but no one else at the table had their food. So of course I waited to eat but it ended up taking 40 more minutes to receive all of our food. That to me is inexcusable! We understand it was a busy night but there is no excuse for our dinner service. Even the manager came by and noticed we still had not received our food but pretty must just blow us off and smiled. So unfortunately you have lost my business.
My wife and I were celebrating Valentine's Day. We had a great server and we were surprised how fast the food came out. Drinks were awesome! We can't wait to come back.

Celebrated Valentine’s Day and Kona had a special menu for the weekend along with a DJ on Friday night when we went. Our waiter was great and food was good! I just wish that the entire menu was available to order, but we did make due and were still satisfied with our choices! The red velvet butter cake was a perfect end to our night there.
Food and drink was superb. Room temperature was to cold. Waitress was not knowledgeable of the fish of the day. She was very pleasant and attentive

Overall could have been much better. I ordered the filet (med) and it came out well done. I dont even think it was an entire steak, as it was already sliced and was about 5 slices. Im not the send it back type, but as the managers were making rounds, I mentioned it and all that was done was a nice "thank you for letting me know". I didnt ask for compensation and none was offered. The presentation was nice.
The service was outstanding. The host and one of the Managers (Matt, I think) were very accommodating and got us seated prior to our reservation time. Our server was the bartender Zach. Zach was awesome. He was very attentive and we never had to track him down. He even made me a special drink for my birthday.
All the food was great - Bama Roll was fresh and tasty. The warm butter cake was amazing! Our dinners were great too (Prime Rib & Sea Bass).

It seems that they have gone downhill. The ambience wasn't what it used to be. We sat with the dirty table for a very long time also did not have our water refilled once.

We Vistited Sunday During A Chiefs Game And Requested To Sit Where We Both Could See The T.V. And Although They didnt Have A Actual Table,They Made Accomidations For Us. We Had Out Own Little Area In Front Of The Sushi Bar. And Our Server Was Really Nice And Knowledable Of Her Menu.
Made a reservation for brunch and had to wait 40 minutes to be seated. Then everything was a wait from that point. Pretty expensive brunch prices and definitely not worth it. I think if you are going to be a restaurant on the Plaza you better live up to your prices and deliver excellent food and service. Disappointed on both counts!!
