Absolutely THE WORST meal my family and I have had in recent memory. Had a 6:15pm reservation. Did not receive our entrees until 7:30pm ~ and our appetizer never arrived. Two of us ordered cheeseburgers with fries. The food spent so much time under the heat lamp that the burger patties were well(+) done and not able to be cut with a steak knife. Totally unacceptable.

It was a wonderful experience. Drinks and food were delicious with the exception of overcooked calamari. The ambiance was great but the music was SO LOUD! It was difficult to communicate with my husband and with the server.

I think it was an off night at the restaurant because I've been before and it's been overall ok.
Let me start by saying that the sushi was excellent and if you go, I would recommend that. Potstickers were great too.
The steak was cold and came with the wrong sides. The sauce was missing. When pointed out, the waiter did bring out the correct side and the sauce (which was lobster butter and it was cold and came straight from the fridge). Cold steak + Cold butter = not great so i had to send it back as much as I was trying to not add to the burden.
I felt like our waiter was doing the best he could - he seemed to have a lot of tables and the kitchen seemed to have had issue with more than just my order.
The whole meal took a while due to the waiter being alone. This could just be a staffing issue due to Covid so i'm not holding it against them.
Surprised that nothing was comped for the inconvenience at the end of the meal though.

Went for restaurant week, 2 of us were seated, we were waiting on another person. It took at least 15 to 20 minutes before anyone acknowledged us and took a drink order. We were told the fish special was Swordfish, so 2 ordered that and 1 prime rib. One of the appetizers was forgotten about, by the time the waiter realized it the meal was brought out. The fish turned out to be salmon not swordfish, so the person that ordered prime rib had to trade with a salmon. The waiter we had was just not on the ball at all. Pretty disappointed since the check was over$ 200.00.

I went for restaurant week. We were seated quickly and had the option of indoor or outdoor seating for a table of 6. The food was good and out wait staff were super friendly. They did run out of one of the desserts and caused some confusion between the waitstaff and kitchen of what they actually had. With current COVID restrictions I think this experience was perfect for a girls night out.

We were seated at a tiny wobbly table even though there were 3 of us. One of the Denver Restaurant Week choices was not available even though it was only the 3rd day of restaurant week. The steak was cold. The waitress was good at least. Would not go back.

The food at Kona is always great! The potstickers this past time we went weren’t the greatest but overall it was amazing! Love the food and majority of the time the servers work their hardest to go above and beyond.

To start with our reservation was 35 minutes late. So we waited until there was a seat available they overbooked. Upon getting to our table service was lacking, we continue to contact our server for water and to order. I had to Seabass which is my favorite, it was very oily and greasy and difficult to eat. Otherwise the appetizer the sashimi was delicious
Overall, disappointing we will not return.

The service was horrible. We were told 4 times that the kitchen was backed up. Not nicer were we offered anything for having to wait so long for each course. It was so loud with the music we couldn’t have a conversation with our friends. We we not recommend Kona Grill to anyone.

We were disappointed in both the food and the service. We did get apologies and they exempted one of the meal charges. We were there as Restraint Week patrons and had hoped for a better experience. Seemed like a place for younger people.

We had a birthday celebration and reservation for 5 people on April 24 at 5:45pm
First we came to check in they didn’t have table available, 15 min later we got seated outside on the patio.
We waited for 40 min for anyone to come in and take our drinks order. We ordered wine and a bottle of champagne. Champagne was warm and water glasses were dirty. We had to order a bottle of water to drink from.
We had to complain to a manager he said he will take care of drinks and make sure that everything will run smoothly.
We placed our food order, everything was barely warm came at different times. Silverware was dirty. It was unpleasant to eat from. We were still finishing food and wine server already dropped the check.
I have never had this poor service in any restaurant in Denver. I am not planning to come back.
My strong suggestion to the management to train their staff better and follow strict cleaning guidelines, especially during this Pandemic.

I didn't read the menu well enough the surf and turf didn't include a lobster tail it was lobster butter and sushi with a nice steak. the sushi was good.

Waitress forgot about the salad so we had to ask for it. Salad came out right before the meal. One meal came out with wrong side and the other missing a side. Waitress was going to bring out sides but after 15 mins she said that it wasn’t gong to happen. Offered to pay for dessert. Not a great experience for our anniversary and the first time we had been out in a year because of COVID.

Our server was very friendly. Checked on us often, but the pace of how long it took for us to get served was ridiculous. We had reservations at 7:30pm, didn't get seated until 8:25pm, we put our order in promptly, and we didn't get served our appetizers until 9:30pm. By the time we got our meal, we had to pack it to-go because our little one was getting tired. We let the manager know on multiple accounts, and she didn't seem to really care or do anything other than saying "we're trying to get everyone in and out as fast as we can." I get it, it's a Saturday night and restaurants are opening back up from COVID-19, but don't be telling and taking in new reservations telling them it's a "10-15 minute wait."

Our food was delayed by about an hour and the staff were very apologetic and kept coming by to check in on us. It was restaurant week and the place was very busy and they were very understaffed. The compensated us very nicely for the inconvenience of the food coming out so late. We would definitely go back.

Food was excellent. Brought 19 month old twins. Waiter made sure they were taken care of. After that, the delivery of food was slow, where we finally had them bring boxes and took our food home.

Clearly they’re still getting their pre-covid groove back. We waited 20 minutes for our reservation, 20 minutes for waters from the server, ordered one round of drinks and an appetizer then left.

Waited hour to be seated with reservations.
Service was the worst I have had in ten years!!!
Took forever to get waited on, waiter kept forgetting about us. 45 minutes or more for drinks each time, it’s like the waiter kept forgetting about us unless we asked...30 minutes or more between courses but had to ask before they remembered...food cold and mediocre at best. Never acknowledged birthday or bad service. Oh my god avoid this place at absolutely all cost you will be wasting your time and money on a crappy service and crappy food. Really really bad!!!!
