We had a reservation and dined on a Saturday night. It was 10 minutes before our server came to our table. We ordered drinks and the jalapeno yellowtail sashimi. It was over 20 minutes before we got the sashimi. Not sure why it would take so long to prepare raw tuna. It was good, we've had it before. A little too much sauce perhaps. We ordered the miso sake chilean sea bass, which my date liked. I had the cilantro lime chicken, which had decent flavor but was completely dry! It was barely edible. I liked the fried rice. Very disappointing especially when we had to wait so long for our meals. So we waited just to get overcooked chicken? I did not order another drink because those took way too long as well. If you can't properly staff the restaurant to provide quality service, don't seat the entire restaurant!! Also, if you don't have enough bussers, then the servers must pitch in to clear the table and pick up dirty dishes. Is it beneath them to do this? Two different managers stopped by to check in but seemed more like a reason to find out when we were getting out of there to seat another party. The last time we didn't hold back and he offered to buy us dessert, which we planned to order anyway. Our servers came by and dropped off the check though, without ever asking if we wanted dessert or anything else! We said, hey we'll order dessert. The only timely thing of the night. We are in no hurry to return.

We went to Kona Grill for Thanksgiving dinner and we’re pleasantly surprised by the warm atmosphere, fun atmosphere, great food and awesome wait staff. Daniel was our waiter, and we enjoyed his warmth and attentiveness. He really was amazing. Food was very good and moderately priced. Noise level was the only thing I didn’t like too much, other than that it was a fantastic experience.

The waitress handed me a laminated menu, which was extremely sticky and filthy dirty. The table was 3 nurses, who work in hospital settings and very sensitive and perhaps overly aware, of infection prevention issues. We had the option of QR code, so did that, but when I told her it was filthy, and gave it back to her, the waitress developed a less than positive attitude. I will come back here because I love the place- the food is great and overall, have had several good experiences. Just asking for clean menus between customers- or only offer disposable or QR code.

Even thought our “original” waiter was a no show for 27mins, the waitress who aided us was beautiful and so sweet. The food and her attitude made that 27mins of annoyance go away.

We got the dumplings and they were pasty. The prime rib was ok but the beans were raw and potatoes were cold. Had to ask for a steak knife.

Overall, it was a disappointing dinner. It took 20 minutes to get anything, a glass of water, silverware, or drinks after we sat down. We ordered a roll as an appetizer. It tasted old and stale. The rice was cold and dry. My wife ordered sea bass which was over cooked so the consistency was mushy. I ordered the salmon which was good. I find the background music irritating. It was too loud and too energetic, like 70's disco. I assume the music is selected to make people eat fast. We've had a good time ordering happy hour sushi on the patio in the past. I think we'll stick with that at this restaurant.

It was a great experience. Our server, Madison, was awesome and interacting with her was lots of fun. Appreciated it that manager checked in on us a time or two, as well. Happy hour food was terrific!

Surprised that management permitted a nearby table of about 12-15 young men to openly vape inside the restaurant. Would prefer to dine in a non-smoking establishment.

I did not have the opportunity to dine here because their kitchen was “closed” at 6pm on a Tuesday. No warning, no information, just a “computer problem.” Maybe next time have it written on the website or something?

Place seemed nice and somewhat overly priced, but this was pretty disappointing.

Extremely mediocre to below-average food. The miso soup was terrible and just above cold. The taste was as if they took a powdered soup pouch and put it in tap water. The sushi is just blah. Poorly crafter and not fresh. I mean, it's a sports bar trying to serve sushi. I am at a total loss as to why this place has such high reviews. The only reason I am giving it two stars is that the staff is generally nice. Other than that, terrible food and terrible prices. This place should change their food to bar food and keep the sports crowds happy.

Liane our server was spectacular! She anticipated every one of our needs and was prompt and attentive. She embodied connection and hospitality. We came for a birthday celebration and she made our night. Highly recommend her for any visit in the future

shrimp stir fry was to spiced to even eat
tried several times to have issue resolved with server and manager but
to no avail
they would drop by and ask how the meal was, when I tried to talk to them they kept on walking
not that busy but food sucked

The menu was pretty limited, we asked for no pork for one person in our party and they did get bacon. The server was all over it and replaced the item that had pork, but the kitchen was so slow the item didn't arrive soon enough to eat with the rest of the brunch, so it was wasted.

The restaurant was quiet when we arrived, so we were seated right away, the wait for food was long, we were advised that they were short in the kitchen, that's understandable and good that the server advised us, so we ordered a cinnamon bun to share - after 10 minutes we were informed they were out, even though there were only a handful of tables seated. Then we ordered frittatas -which were okay but took so long they came with our brunch instead of ahead. Coffee options are limited, even though the server tried to make it nicer. I may try Kona again before I would discourage anyone from trying their brunch, but not any time soon. There are too many good places to have brunch in the denver area.

This was our second visit to Kona Grill. We loved everything about our first visit but this time, not so much. The service was very slow, portions were small, prices were high, the music was extremely loud, dishes we ordered were brought randomly and others were forgotten completely (soup was delivered after the entree). We spent over $100.00 on soup and salad. We won't return.

Our waiter paid little to no attention to us, not bringing water until almost an hour after we had been seated and only bring utensils after being given our food. Along with that our food took an hour and a half to come.
