Here’s the thing about Kaiser Grille: you pay fine dining prices for average mass produced tourist food. It’s just OK. There are better options in town.

The hostess was very unfriendly, we were 15 min early and we knew that and had no issue waiting as we were coming from out of town and at an event earlier that day and unsure of the traffic so we thought better safe than sorry. Our server started out by bringing us our bottle of overpriced white wine in a timely manner. However we had to ask for a bucket of ice to keep it cold because it was warm that evening and we sat outside. We ordered the artichoke dip as an appetizer which they served with this awful toasted peices of what seemed like cut up old bread, it had an awful burnt flavor which the entire table agreed, so nobody ate it. We then ordered 3 entrees. My moms entree of ravioli was good and she enjoyed it. Another entree was baked Bolognese. It was some pasta with red sauce thrown in a bowl and then cheese quickly melted on top certainly not as advertised. Another entree was Caesar salad with grilled jumbo shrimp. I asked if the shrimp were fresh, I was told yes. The salad came out and the lettuce was limp and starting to turn brown the shrimp were tiny but situated in a such a way on the skewer they looked larger, the were at least 26 count per lb size. There were 3 tiny croutons on the entire salad and no fresh parmesan.
The salad was also very small and for a price tag of 18.00 it is absolutely not worth it. We ended up paying a large price tag for what we were ultimately charged, less the one entree and appetizer so 1 bottle of wine and one cocktail and 2 entrees was 115.00. There is at least a dozen fantastic restaraunts in palm springs. Do not make this one of your stops while there!

I ordered a beet salad which was mostly arugula and only 4 slices of beet on it. Not much blue cheese, either. The steak salad my husband ordered was just ordinary.

We shared the seafood Fettuccine, and it was GREAT! We also shared a beet salad and the salad was wonderful too. Portions were very large,we were able to share. They were happy to do that generous splits in the kitchen

Booked online, was asked for any special request, asked for small bouquet of flowers got nothing, heard them talking about at the front desk, very bright not even romantic, while seated we over heard the waiter telling the table next to use that they did not leave a big enough tip and ask for more money, food was okay but not worth the price we paid, will never recommend this place or return not a good experience

We went there for Valentine’s Day because I had a gift card from a friend. Probably the main reason why we picked that restaurant honestly. The food was excellent I had fish and that my husband had prime rib. We really enjoyed our meal. Ruth was our waitress and she was excellent. I must say that my friend noticed on the special menu that it said no gift cards and I was really shocked by that. I didn’t notice this special little blurb on the menu in regards to that policy and nothing was ever said when making reservations. Ruth checked it out and said because ours were purchased in the restaurant and not at Costco that they would honor them. Which was really great but I still don’t think it’s a good policy because they Shouldn’t sell their gift cards at Costco if they aren’t allowing people to use them anytime in the restaurant. Just saying.

The menu was limited as it was 2/14. That said it was very tasty. Things are ala carte. Pricey for just an entree. Should have included a salad. Or vegetables.
As we didn't order much - really never saw our waiter after the order taking. Had to ask for water Several times. Not real happy

We do enjoy dining here because of the food. BUT, OMG, some of the patrons look like they came in from rock climbing or straight from the pool. The sister restaurant in Palm Desert at least seems to have a semblance of a dress code. I am not suggesting formal wear, but I really don't want to see someone's pants falling off (and lack of underwear). DO NOT GO to this restaurant on Thursdays, it's a real zoo. Parking is impossible and the noise level will give you a profound headache.
