Kaiser Grille - Palm Springs
Roasted was burned making half of it uneatable. Otherwise good. Excellent apple crisp dessert.
Great place, food was excellent and the service was great.
We had a wonderful meal at Kaiser Grill and the service was great. They offer a happy hour and early bird specials as well as the regular menu. If you're in Palm Springs make sure you eat st Kaiser Grill. You won't be disappointed!
Food was just Fair, this is the second time we went, only because we had a gift card
Our first impression was marred by the host named Mark who quite literally insulted me about my reservation which I made at the last minute. After several minutes of his diatribe we were seated at a table but wanted a booth so the seating hostess accommodated us by having the busser clean a very nice booth. Our server was a genial man named Manny who was very knowledgeable about the menu and food preparation. We requested a steak item for our little one and the chef was kind enough to put a nice chopped steak meal together at our servers request. My child loved it. My peach margarita was very strong so I asked for it to be remade in which was done but I was charged an extra $8.00 which was considerably upsetting. I ordered a very well made Ceasar Salad complete with anchovies which was delightfully delicious. My friend enjoyed a wonderful split pea soup. My entree was a generous 14oz cut of prime rib that wasn't anywhere near 14ozs but was nicely prepared medium rare and very tasty. My friend ordered the fish trip consisting of salmon, mahi and sea bass that he said was flavorful yet the portions were small for the price. Dessert was a lovely caramel apple pie ala mode with vanilla bean ice cream. Three spoons assured we all enjoyed it together. The only thing missing was our beverage refills that never got fulfilled. Otherwise the visit was enjoyable albeit our dreadful experience with the restaurant's host. I would most likely not enjoy returning should Mark, the host interact with me again.
ALWAYS A SAFE BET WHEN COMPANY COMES INTO TOWN AND SAYS LETS GO OUT FOR A GOOD VALUE DINNER THAT TASTES GREAT.
I had to send my filet back three times because it wasn’t cooked how I ordered it. None of the food we ordered seemed to be very good quality.
Salmon was not fresh , so is chicken that my friends ordered
Air condition was not working properly, was too hot
Food was amazing and the waiter we had was outstanding. But they had something going on behind the scene and food was late and some oders were messed up and none of the managers in staff didn’t care about explaining whats going on or just come to the table and apologize for the delay. It kind of ruined our evening.
Restaurant was really smoky! Just a heads up. Hard for a romantic dinner as the restaurant gets really loud. We love the one in palm desert as it’s much more quiet.
Go all the time, always good
Wonderful Service and Reception at the Front. We had a larger party with children and they accommodated us and were wonderful to us. I left one of my Granddaughters Birthday Gifts under the table and sure enough they had it at the front desk when I came back the next morning. Thank You Kaiser Grill for Making our Family special day a success.
My husband & I celebrated our anniversary dinner here. Great atmosphere. We had reservations & were promptly seated. Our server was attentive. The food was outstanding. I had the Mahi Mahi & my husband had a steak. Drinks were perfect. The restaurant gave us a delicious cheesecake for our anniversary.
All great - thanks to Sam, Mark, Hugo and all. Food is good as is the service and the ambience.
We were there to celebrate our 16th Anniversary! We had a wonderful meal
The food and service was terrific. The servers are efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. It's a nice spot to enjoy downtown Palm Springs.
The food and service was excellent. The remodle is beautiful with one exception. The bathrooms really need a remodle!
The service was very attentive. A nice variety of food to choose from. We did not sit in the main dining area but looked very comfortable. The only negative is that a couple of pesky flies hung out at our indoor table.
Best vegetable beef soup I have ever eaten. Also the Rustica pizza was excellent! A must order again combo my next return.
The food was good as usual but I feel the lobster was undercooked.
Excellent as always! Delia, our Server, was a delightful young woman!
we were celebrating our 43rd wedding anniversary we had reservations at 8 and arrived about 10 minutes early and they were able to seat us. we requested to be seated facing the street but they had no table available however when a customer left a very nice table they allowed us to move to that table the waiter was great the food was great we will definitely come again
Wasn’t seated quickly..waitress didn’t know what a Malibu & pineapple was when ordering drinks ..but food was good and came from kitchen quickly ...little overpriced but overall decent experience
Location in Palm Springs is ideal for watching the sidewalk and street action. Food preparation could be better. My dinner did not include what was ordered and I waited too long for replacement. A little too pricey as well.
It had been a little while since we had been to Kaiser Grill, however the time seemed to be right...early, season is slowing down, and a good time to enjoy a nice relaxing lunch on our favorite corner of the world! Edson (our waiter...correct spelling!!) was right there to make sure our expectations would be fulfilled and they certainly were.
They offered a wine special for $17/750 ml and we pounced on that great NAPA Chardonnay...nice and buttery, mild oak with good flavors. We'd come back just for that and probably will! The Salmon Salad is my favorite and I was not to be disappointed...cooked just right! My husband had the Pomodoro with marinara and tomatoes, also very good but I would have added a few veggies to make it more interesting.
All in all it was a great way to do lunch in our beautiful Palm Springs and we have a lot of history in this very restaurant too!!!
I brought my parents for lunch all the way from San Diego for a special Father's Day lunch and we were amazed at how delicious the food was! The service was great and the menu was very interesting. We had a very enjoyable time and I would highly recommend this restaurant - you won't be disappointed!
Kaiser Grille has awesome pizzas! Great servers, too! Very attentive to one's needs.
It had been a few years since we were at Kaiser Grill for dinner, and it has changed quite a bit. The food was fine (we both had different types of steaks which were well seasoned, tender, and cooked perfectly). The service was very good.
But really we felt like we were dining in a upscale expensive Denny's. It is not a gourmet restaurant. Formica tables (no tablecloths), tile floor, very noisy. Very little ambiance. Patio dining was probably better but it was one of those 110 degree days so we chose indoors. And for two of us, the dinner bill came to $185 (that included tip and a $45 bottle of wine).
There are other much better restaurants in this price range (or lower) in Palm Springs (Spencers, Tropicale, Trio, Johnny Costa).
Stopped at Kaiser Grill for an early dinner before a movie. We hadn't been there for sometime and don't know why. The service was great, the menu was expansive and the food, excellent. It's moderately priced and good value. We will certainly be back next time we are in the area. You certainly can't go wrong with this restaurant and I'm certain you'd be happy.
Palm Springs Restaurant week is a great time to try something new. Kaiser Grille is a nice downtown restaurant with great street views. Food is very good and with the special pricing this month a good value.
A large group of friends came to celebrate my husband’s bday and all loved it. The cut of meat was sooooo good
Meh. Its a cute place and service is great but I'd fire the chef and start over. Bland, unimaginative, just not good.
This is my first post because the food was so bad. 4 of us got items off the "specialty" section of the menu, all 4 were awful. My curry was so tasteless i didnt eat it. Nobody had a dinner with flavor, just bland slop. If you really like food, don't go here. The people in the kitchen have no idea how to cook.
Cocktails and service were excellent. Food was just OK. We ordered two salads; one with steak and the other with chicken. The chicken was dry and tasteless. Also the bread in our table’s basket was quite stale.
Food was excellent, but the service was slow, and our waiter seemed less than enthusiastic
Good food and good service. We were a party of 6 and were seated on time. The rack of lamb was excellent as was the chop-chop steak. All round good experience and I would visit again next time I am in town.
Family visiting. Wanted something healthy while being able to people watch as well. Menu suited everyone.
Drinks were horrible. My food was good. My husband's smelled ridiculously fishy.
Continues to be one of my “go to” restaurants in Palm Springs. However, while the service staff (except for host) is very good and is the main reason we return (especially Carlos and Juan) - the overall cleanliness has gone down while their prices have gone up. In fact, they are now higher than most other local restaurants for lunch. My biggest complaints remains the dirty patio chairs and the filthy menus. I don’t even want to touch the paper menus, they are so dirty. They have laminated a few of the menus, but continue to give out dirty, food stained menus. The menus should be laminated and sanitized after every use - for their staff and customers’ Heath safety.
Food was good. Ambiance is great (I sat outside). I had a small issue with the salad I ordered, the server did more than enough to ensure we were happy - and we were!
