Better for lunch in my opinion. Not enough choices at dinner - too many steaks and not enough other.
We were very pleased with our choice for dinner! It was an exceptionally nice place. We will definitely come back! Get location where you can people watch!!
Good value and ambiance
Food was good
Business dinner with clients on Thursday night 630 reservation for eight. Our firm usually does several these large dinners in Palm Springs every year. This restaurant is in my Top 5, but was outstanding atmosphere on Thursdays because of the street fair. We were seated at a large table that took up about a quarter of the outside patio overlooking the street fair (occurs every Thursday nights on Palm Canyon drive). The atmosphere was vibrant. We had the opportunity to sample many of the appetizers and got feedback on everyone's entrée and dessert. Long story short it was all good, everyone was pleased and we were able to shop at the street fair afterwards and bar hop. Great night thanks to the folks at Kaiser Grille for helping to make it a special event. My only suggestion for approval was that the service was not as exceptional as everything else. Not bad service mind you, but the staff seemed harried and I felt could have slowed down, have fun with guests, and communicate a little better.
Pork chop was tough, beet salad on had 2 slices of a beet, and a lot of icky green arugala, the prices were high, but the cappuccino was terriic (as ws the service). My husband was happy as were the other guests ( except the boneless rib lady, hers was tough also). the lamb lady was very happy.
Food was good and service was good. The bathrooms were dirty and gross. It was a miss by management for not keeping the bathrooms cleaner.
The patio is delightful! Even in the heat the patio provides enough shade to be cool but feel like you are outside. Service and food were great! Will DEFINITELY return again when we come back to Palm Springs (which we definitely will).
We are VERY frequent diners (never eating at home), and though we were a bit apprehensive about having dinner in a so-called "group" restaurant, we went ahead and dined at the Kaiser Grille in Palm Springs. What a wonderful experience! What made it especially memorable was the outstanding attention we received from Stephanie, as supported by Marc. They worked extra hard to ensure that we would enjoy the exact type of table we preferred, even though it was a very, VERY busy Spring Break. We are so happy-- indeed THRILLED with the special attention we received from Stephanie and Marc.
We are relatively new residents of the area, and we are still putting together our "preferred dining lists," including who (among our visitors) would be comfortable and in which location. It can be stated without fear of contradiction that Stephanie and Marc are responsible for many, MANY reservations to come!
Our server was truly one of the highlights of our meal. Eziekiel took very good care of us, helping coach us through our orders, hooking my kids up with a pitcher of Shirley Temples and helping us enjoy the beautiful evening of al fresco dining with his warm and friendly attitude. We made a last minute reservation which seemed to amuse the host who came off as being a tad exasperated with the endless stream of hungry tourists. BUT, he did set us up with a lovely front corner outdoor table and seemed to soften a little with a few kind words from us. My wife reminded me, “you never know what someone is going through in their lives”. At any rate, my macadamia nut encrusted Mahi mahi was good but next time I think I’d go for the filet. Thanks for being a charming part of our evening, Eziekiel! Cheers!!
Good food, adequate amounts. Most of us ordered from the Prixe Fixe Easter menu. My only complaint would be that I had ordered the chocolate mint mousse for dessert, but was served some type of chocolate cake. Server insisted that it was the same thing??
Good safe place to go. No surprises (which is a good thing ;-)
Great food and people watching! Wood fired pizzas are yummy!
The food is really good. I love that they use sustainable meat and seafood. It has gotten more creative and varied since I began eating there many years ago. All the staff including manager, wait staff, bus staff and host/hostess are really friendly, into excellent service and very accommodating.
Ruth our waitress gave us great suggestions and perfect service.
Slow service - one server for way too many tables. Food mediocre. I had the most uninspired and tasteless Cobb salad ever. Partners burger was not medium as ordered, overdone.
Wine glasses reeked of soap. After two false starts the server brought us Brandy snifters that were clean. Server took extra steps to correct this problem.
Nice outdoor dining. Food was good, quality service too.
Food was just okay, nothing special. Great location though. Convenient to grab a bite and continue shopping downtown.
Great dinners of salmon and pork chop.. Nice outdoor seating. Wonderful waitress. Will come again next time we visit Palm Springs.
We love to sit on the patio at the Kaiser Grill in Palm Springs. Right in the heart of the action and they take reservations so you don’t have to wait if you thought ahead. Good food, reasonably priced, good service.
We had a group of 9 and everyone loved their meal (including 3 kids!). It was a little loud but our table was right next to the at and a few overly excited March Maddness fans. Service as great as well!
Food was good. Very noisy with loud drunks at the bar. Steak was over cooked. Service was very good.
Was a good experience. I travel to Palm Springs a lot and I always eat at Kaiser on the first day!
Still enjoy going to Kaiser Grill when in Palm Springs, CA
Great for people watching and good food in a great setting.
Great food and service
Booked a reservation for 7 pm on a Tuesday. Asked to sit outside. When we arrived they took us inside. Asked if we could sit out. “No” was the answer and the gentleman was quite rude. No one else was in our area inside. It is a pathetic restaurant aesthetically. The food was really good and we had a nice bottle of wine. But for the price it doesn’t work to feel like you are at a Denny’s. if you can’t sit outside don’t bother with this place.
Wanted a casual dinner out and we got just what we requested. The host was funny and welcoming, seating us at a prime outside table. Our waiter was efficient and knew the menu well. The Kaiser house red was budget friendly and also delicious. Pizzas were thin crust and very tasty.
Definitely a great spot to try on the strip.
We have been here a few times. Great food and service. Thank you...
While a few of the reviews have been negative I would say that my dining experience was great!
The ribs are two thumbs up! My friend had the burger and it was perfectly prepared, presented and worth the price.
Both Entree’s were spot on. The one only complaint was not getting water refilled.
The people watching is epic from this location if you get an outside table.
Have been here several times and it never fails. The burrata bruschetta is outstanding
Service was completely off with timing of courses. Appetizer & 1st courses arrived at the same time. We dealt as the 1st course ordered was salads. however than the main courses arrived while we weren't even 1/2 way done with salads (& we aren't slow eaters). The waiter was puzzled when I pointed out we were not finished with our salads & asked him to return the food to the kitchen. Frustrating. Good wait staff paces delivery of courses. I dislike that waste of food that wasn't necessary. We didn't order dessert because we were afraid it would arrive as we started our main course! Drink refills never happened including asking if more alcohol was wanted. Food was delicious & beautifully presented but wait staff was not professional.
The ambiance is excellent. We had a view from the patio that is great for people watching. Had the meaty ribs which were fantastic!
Enjoyed our lunch outside.
Food was excellent as always. Hawaiian pizza was too spicy. The filet was excellent, juicy and tasty. Service was very good. Kaiser is one of our favorite places. Too bad the 3 course dinners have been discontinued!
The service was average. It took quite awhile to take our order. It also took quite awhile for them to return my credit card on payment. The food was just OK. The pizza and the baked bolognaise were both very good. The chicken fettucine was watery and the baked chicken was over cooked (burnt).
It is nice to sit outside and see all the people, however, it is very noisy. The motorcycles cruising Palm are deafening.
The $20 two course meal is a good value for the money.
Nice atmosphere and friendly staff and good food at reasonable prices.
Reserved a table on a damp night. The overhead heaters were appreciated. Service was quick and competent.
First time at Kaiser, and what a treat. Very busy place. Lively bar crowd. Eclectic group of customers.
All 4 of the meals were excellent. Best rack of ribs I’ve ever had. Our server was excellent.
We sat in an area of the restaurant between the interior and outdoor covered dining. The area where
we were was overly bright for nighttime dining. Best to sit either inside or outside but not in between.
This is the only negative thing about this place. Will ask for other seating next time.
