It was amazing! Our server, Joey was excellent. He was so thoughtful and full of information about the entrees. We had space to enjoy our meal, but also never needed to ask for a single thing! I had the prime rib and my husband had the fried soft shell crab, we had the crawfish enchilada as our appetizer and we split the crepe brûlée as our dessert! The fresh baked bread is amazing-the jalapeño cheddar roll is my favorite. Don’t pass this place up!

We dined the last night of full service due to COVID19 restrictions. Despite the wait staff knowing they would be jobless, they provided excellent, friendly service. Food was delicious! Highly recommend this long-standing restaurant in the French Quarter!

My wife and I have been coming to New Orleans for 30 years and finally made it to K Paul’s. It was worth it. Sets the standard for Cajun cooking. Everything from the Cajun martini to the paneed rabbit was terrific.

We had the fish and the veal, both were very good, nice wine list. Loved the bread basket, portions are huge and the quality is very good. We really enjoyed our dinner.

there were several mistakes during the evening. Wrong drink orders. It seemed our dinner was rushed. I always love to come to KP's when we return to NO but the evening was disappointing.

Had to wait 20 minutes for the table I had reserved - I was on a schedule.
I was offered a seat at the bar right by the noisy kitchen.
Management didn't bat an eye when I expressed my disappointment - they clearly could care less.
No ambience and very noisy.
Food was NOTHING to write home about!! (Gumbo was good but my main could have been prepared by a child...)
I finished half the meal and when the bartender took my plate she immediately stacked two other plates ontop. I pointed out that perhaps she should have asked if I wanted a doggy bag - which I did in order to give it to the less fortunate on the streets. (I think this saved them ultimately!)

Great ambience and service. My wife had blackened drum and it was great. I had a Caesar Salad with fried crawfish on top and it was the best meal I had in NOLA. Great wine list and cocktails. Cream brûlée for dessert also excellent. Highly recommend K Paul’s

Solid restaurant, good + food and mediocre service. We were seated in the backroom which was a cool old brick carriage house vibe. My wifes cocktails were good, I had a coke and would have loved to have known it was by the can with no refills before gulping down my first one and then being informed. The crawfish Popcorn appetizer was very simple and very good, the sauce really worked well. For the entrees I had to go with what made Chef Paul Prudhomme famous and have the blackened drum, it did not disappoint. My wife had the filet Medallions with debris gravy, the beef was not of great quality and were cooked inconsistent as one was medium rare as ordered the other medium +. Our server was gone for 15-20 minute periods throughout the meal. Overall good but not great.

Booked dinner for 4 to celebrate sisters birthday while visiting NOLA. We love K-Paul’s because the food has consistently been very good. Well not this time. I was very disappointed in the BBQ shrimp dish. The shrimp were small, did not have heads n and tasted old. Our waiter never came back to ask how dinner was. Not sure we will include K-Paul’s as a must visit on future trips to New Orleans.

My husband and I visited K-Paul’s while on vacation in New Orleans recently. I ordered the blackened tuna and he had the pork chop. Tuna was nicely prepared (not overcooked), and the biggest portion I’ve ever been served. Both entrees were tasty, typical NOLA style, heavily sauced, definitely left no room for dessert. The room is a little on the bright side, dimmed lighting might make the place seem a little more stylish. My only real complaint about this place was the noise level—most New Orleans restaurants are ‘lively’, but the constant sound of trays of dishes being thrown into bussing containers was super-annoying! I’m ok with a loud restaurant, but I prefer the noise to come from the music and/or diners having a great time.

Another NOLA spot with awesome service.
Claudia was great.
Gumbo was dope
Filet was great with their signature sauce
Other steaks were way overcooked but the restaurant did right by the mistake.

We’ve been visiting New Orleans 100 plus times over 21 years and K Paul’s is always a favorite of ours. Both of our meals tonight were 5 star. The appetizer was a 3.5 at best, but I still give the food 5 stars because the dinners were so amazing.
Our server was great. Very attentive without being intrusive or overbearing.

Definitely disappointed in the famous K-Paul’s. The overpriced appetizer was small and honestly just ok. My flounder was bland and tasteless. New Orleans is a town of great restaurants and unfortunately K-Paul’s is not one of them.

Good food.Thought we would be seated at a bit nicer location instead of right in front of the cash register. We did have a reservation. Was surprised at how casually dressed some of the diners were but it was Mardi Gras week. Quite loud. Great,friendly service

Really great food and outstanding service on Lundi Gras! The chicken and andouille gumbo is probably the best I have ever tasted! My seafood pasta was full of delicious oysters, shrimp, crawfish, and bay scallops and had a delicious spicy sauce.

I got to know about the restaurant through web search and I was very much excited about the food when I skimmed through their menu for the very first time. I booked a table for lunch for a group of 4 during our trip to NOLA during the weekend before Mardi Gras. I must say the food was beyond our expectations, too delicious and all spices mixed at the right proportion. I would definitely recommend to visit this place for one of the finest foods in NOLA. We’ve tried Fried green tomatoes with Shrimp Chipotle Remoulade, Blackened Louisiana drum and Pan-fried Flounder with Shrimp. All the dishes were yummy 😋

Our reservation was a bit late in the evening but we arrived earlier and they seated us right away. The servers were so polite and attentive to our every need. The gumbo was the best I ever had and the blackened Drum was delicious. We will return for sure.
