The nachos nirvana were great but our server unfortunately was not. He wasn’t very attentive and our entrees were cold. Unfortunately we are never coming back here again.
My partner and I used to come here before the pandemic and it was great. They had a lot of food items, decent prices and drinks. This time around was very disappointing. The food was way overpriced, didn’t make sense with the food combinations, didn’t taste very good, the appetizers we used to love...are no longer on the menu. The cocktails were very weak. We would not be returning.
We sat on the patio and there was nobody there, we had the place to ourselves. Food and service was EXCELLENT!
Food never showed up for an hour and had to leave to Angel game
We were looking for a quick bite before the game so it was great. Great for burgers and something quick. Not a fine dining place but very good before a game or to watch one there!
Everyone was super sweet with my son and his birthday! Great place for beers and food before any sports event!!
Extremely slow service prior to Angel game. 45 mins to get a chicken sandwich. Waitress was awful.
Great food and service.
We had tickets to Opening Day at Angels Stadium. The game started at 7 pm so I wanted to be at the stadium by about 6 pm. We arrived at JT Schmid’s at 4:45 pm and were seated immediately. The patio quickly filled with patrons. It took 20 minutes for the waitress to take our order. The food came in a timely fashion. The pizza was bland. We finished eating by 5:40 pm and waited for the bill. We finally had to call over the manager to get the check. By 6 pm the waitress still hadn’t taken our payment. We finally left by 6:20 . By then the entrance to the parking was packed and we barely got into the stadium at 6:40 with just enough time to get to our seats. We went for the convenience to the stadium but the food and service will keep us from returning.
Changed menu not great They should if kept the popular items
Excellent service. Family meal and we were not rushed at all.
Good outdoor pandemic dining option. Food was really good and the beer was cold.
Our server was great and extremely nice but the food was unfortunately horrible. The ambiance is nice to get drinks and appetizers, we did enjoy the pretzel and guac. I ordered a ham and cheese sandwich and they brought out a sandwich that was as hard and dry as cardboard with a slab of sauce barely any cheese and dried out ham with almost frozen cheese curds inside. My friends ordered Nashville chicken sandwich and it had a penny like flavor to it. We also ordered the chicken lime pasta and the sauce was watered down with no flavor.
The atmosphere and drinks were great! We were served raw shrimp in the shrimp scampi, but the waiter graciously took the dish away and took it off of our bill. The food was very pricey for the quality. Would come back again for a few drinks and the pretzel.
They treated us so well and took care of our big party of 12! Loved it here!
Food was delicious. They need to keep steaks on the menu as regular customers expect them as they have been a steak house for decades. The only problems with service was that the table was not properly cleaned- still had food crumbs- and the waitress was taking care of took many tables, but still good service.
Overpriced and underwhelming. Small servings. They let this couple in without masks. Overall disappointed. 1 star restaurant with 5 star aspirations. Prices to don't reflect quality. Service was good.
We came here for Valentine’s dinner and was truly disappointed with the food and service. There was no ambiance whatsoever to celebrate the day of Love. There were several issues that were not handled correctly. Near the end of the evening I finally went to the Mgr Johnny after 3 times of asking for him did I finally get to speak with him. I expressed my views as that way they could correct the mistakes and even though we got a small credit it really didn’t help the event as we were still hungry and still paid a decent amount for the evening. I understand that the owner passed away but with management they should have gone above and beyond to make this Valentine’s special for people. Not sure if we will go back but you never know. As you can see the steak was mostly fat. Ugh.
Quality and taste of food do not matched the price we paid
Disappointed with the food and service. Ordered the cob salad the chicken was dry and tasted old. The food came out after a long wait and food brought out at varying times. The food was cold ex soup and shrimp scampi. My first time but other family members haven been there before and commented service and food typically much better. Maybe an off night?
Manhattan drink wasn’t mixed well but overall food and ambiance were good. I like that the place wasn’t too crowded and great service.
We came here for lunch on Valentine's Day and everything was perfect! Service was great, the food was delicious and the patio was perfect for outdoor dining! Everyone loved their food and I had the tuna nachos and I can't wait to go back again and order them! Highly recommend them for high quality food and a safe outside dining experience!
Our waitress was amazing. She was very help full with our first time and she made our time there very enjoyable
This was my first time at this restaurant, and I loved it. Staff was very nice, efficient and attentive. Food was fantastic and very fresh. Music was great! The only problem I had was that my lemon drop martini was pre-mixed; much too sweet, and there was no evidence of alcohol. I could have complained, but since restaurants just opened, and staff was so nice, I just left it alone and charged it to paying my dues in this horrible pandemic. This is a great restaurant and I’ll go back again.
Went there for our annual holiday work luncheon. Great service and ambience! We were a party of 7 and all were very happy with the experience!
The cauliflower was amazing. It was a bit too quiet for a sports bar now that Covid has changed our dining out habits. I wish they were open later!
Wee we went to watch a college football game and we were thankful they put it on. They never checked me in to get my points. We had to send back our chicken wings since there were little hairs all over them and not cooked well. The tuna wonton nachos were very good. The pizza was small for the price. I even called about my points and never heard back. I will not return to this location.
Was surprised that the place wasn’t full. Food & service was great.
All staff was very friendly and checked on us regularly. Food was excellent! Also loved their beer choices!
We were never big fans of the food here but our opinion has changed since they reopened. The food is now edible and haven’t had to send anything back. The appetizers are great and have enjoyed the tater tots. Some discounts on Sundays for football. Too bad it isn’t done for Saturday football too.
Fun place. Safe distances. All masked.
Tasty food. Great beverage selection.
Get the pretzel. Fantastic.
Great food and service during these trying times.
It was just ok. They seem a bit lost since Jason died. The OC Register had an article talking about the new menu and changes, so we thought we’d give it a try. The beer cheese soup the paper raved about was too thick and not great. My wedge salad was good and I added steak which had good flavor, but it was only about 3-4 ounces. My husband ordered a house Caesar salad with chicken, and it was just ok. College football was on (yay) but the house music was on too loud and the music seemed out of place. Overall, just ok, but I don’t think we’ll be back.
Just fine, nothing special.
We all ways go this restaurant be fore games, all ways make reservations, but my husband and I are always seated against wall at a small table. I fume because I see other couples seated at 4 or larger seated tables. This is getting very OLD. How can I get this to change?
Great spot for food and drinks before the Ducks game
The food, drinks, service and atmosphere were fantastic. Get there early before any sporting events or make a reservation.
Huge food, fun atmosphere. Great place to go when attending the Honda Centre :)
Had a great time enjoying a nice meal before the game!
