This was my second time at JT’s. The service was great! Our server was attentive and by looks of it he seemed busy and that did not impede his ability to provide us with great service.
The food unfortunately wasn’t too great this time around. I ordered a chicken Caesar salad and it was warm. My boyfriend ordered the salmon, it didn’t taste or appear fresh and it was overcooked. The food looked it had been under a heat lamp for a bit too long.
We were in town for a concert so the location was absolutely perfect. It is right across the street from the venue. Very convenient, fast service, and great ambience. Will come back probably just order something different.
The kale quinoa salad was amazing! I highly recommend adding the grilled salmon. Great now I’m hungry again
Great location for pre hockey game dinner.
Been there before and its always great food and fast service. Thanks
Conveniently located across the street from the Honda Center, for a bite to eat before any event.
The service, food and drinks were perfect. If you're going before a Ducks game you would be smart to make a reservation and not hope to get a seat without one.
Great before a concert at Honda center. We only had nachos and they were good but service in the bar was bad. They were all standing around most of the time while we sat with empty glasses.
Wonderful food and service, definitely a go to restaurant!
Poor ambiance tooked away to the back side . Weird shelf at head level by the wall. Poor service - knowledge of beer . Got the feeling they were trying to clear a poor Amber beer . It was recommended but bad . Expensive steak medium was rare , cold fries.
Nice bar food for a quick dinner before the Duck's Game Our waitress was super nice and the food came quickly and was delicious
Good sports-bar food.
My wife and I made reservations at JT Schmid’s and were wonderfully surprised at the many plant based options on the menu. We had the kale/quinoa salad and the Brussel sprout dish- they were so delicious!! We will be back for more!! Also, great selection of beer on tap as well as wine. We had the hefenwiser and a glass of angeline Pinot noir- so good!!
Convert at Honda center
Thirteen of us went for a work lunch and everyone commented on the good food and service. Not too expensive, good variety of options. We let our server know at the beginning that we would prefer 13 separate checks - she told us it takes a little longer to ring everyone up at the end and when we agreed to that, she made it happen. Thank you for that!
excellent food, service, atmosphere and location just before concert at honda center. only bummer was not being able to sit outside even with reso.
Got there early so wasn’t too bad but definitely a crowded restaurant good job
I had their specialty, the rib eye. It was mediocre...at best. Part of the steak was overcooked and the other part was undercooked. In addition, I had a dirty martini that more closely resembled a vodka Icee with olives in it. (I've never had a martini that was more ice than it was drink...in fact, I've never had a martini with ice in it.) My dinner companion had the french dip sandwich, which he said was quite good. The service was good and the ambience on the patio was nice. I'd give JT Schmid's another try, but the first go-round was disappointing.
My favorite dish is the spicy double ahi salad. The service is always great and the food is pretty good.
I am a returning customer, and I will be back, but this last experience was not good. I know on game nights the kitchen is busy but when we ordered wings, dry, sauce on the side and they come out fine on one side and charcoal black on the bottom, that’s inexcusable. To make it worse, the waitress, who was awesome, took them back and brought us a new order. This batch was exactly the same. As if they just replayed them with the same burnt wings we sent back. Ridiculous.
Good place for food before Ducks games. Plan ahead as it can become very busy on some game nights.
The service and atmosphere was good. The food was ok, the fish for the fish and chips was cold and thin. You could barely taste the fish at times. I have had the fish and chips before and the fish was big and hot. They have changed their fish in the fish and chips I would not have it again.
We arrived at 11:30am for an early lunch and business meeting. Restaurant was quiet at that time. Service was attentive and the food good. We will definitely meet up there again for lunch in the future.
Food was sub par as well as the drinks. I’m no stranger to paying good money for a good cocktail but our $17.00 manhattans were terrible.Dive bar style with nice restaurant prices. Will not return.
I have been a server and recognize that the problems with the service were the fault of management. After being seated, it took more than 10 minutes before any server came to our area, much less our table. That took another 5 minutes. The servers were confused as to who should be serving us. Both the long wait and the server confusion are a management issue. The server who did take our table did her best with the inadequate staffing in our area.
The food was good but the price was higher than similar quality food that I have had elsewhere. The biggest plus is that they are located directly across the street from the Honda Center where we were going for a game. Unlike Karl Strauss, if you wish to keep your vehicle there for the game you will have to pay $25; Karl Strauss allows you to remain in their parking lot simply by placing your dinner receipt on your dashboard.
So overall the food is decent, but overpriced, the service was poor due to mismanagement, and if you go there for a game you will either have to move your car or pay the $25.
Erica was awesome!
Our server was very accommodating
The food & staff were great however the manager was not. I was 30 min late for my reservation due to an accident. It was a busy night & I understood I would have to wait. The hostess had a table & asked the manager right in front of us if she could seat us & he said directly in front of us to make us wait 30 min at that time he had a group of friends that walked in that he also sat immediately without a reservation. I wont go back there due to the managers behavior.
Food was good. Service was excellent! Even though the place was packed, the server kept our drinks cold.
Good food and Olga is wonderful! They sell beer Crowlers. I purchased two Dumb Blonde Crolwers which I'm looking forward to drinking in the near future.
We got there early. Grabbed a spot on the patio. The server pulled up a couple more comfy chairs for our group of six. Beautiful evening. Good food.
This was our 1st DISAPPOINTING time at JT Schmid's for dinner before a concert.
I ordered the Salmon, and it was dry, burned on the bottom. It came with rice & veggies.
I asked for no rice, but all veggies. I suppose I didn't get extra veggies, because the portion was small.
My spouse ordered a Cheeseburger & Fries, that was just okay. Both entrees were over priced. And,
the entrees did not come with bread, nor did it come with a small soup or salad - I would think for the prices they charge, you would at least get some bread. We had reservations, but were seated in what
seemed like a cafeteria-style setting, with all tables & chairs - no ambiance at all. I asked if we could get a booth, and was rudely told, "NO, you should have requested that when you made the reservations"....oh
well, my bad ! I went to the small 4 or 5 stall restroom, which had a long line, there was no TP, and a total mess. Finally someone brought in TP as I was leaving. WE WILL NOT RETURN TO JT SCHMID'S.
Dinner before s concert at the Honda Center.
Excellent service! Wonderful evening and food, had a really nice time with family!
PBR pre meal and drinks
Good food, great service, parking convenient, and it is across from the Honda Center. Can't beat the combination! Outside bar is the place to be.
Pretty bad beer. Service lackluster. Lots of bar flies. Food was very very average bar food.
The food was excellent and the service was good.
I will return again.
Great service. Food and drinks were great. We had a group of 13 and service was quick and attentive.
Our service was awful it took 15 minutes for us to even get greated at the table and when the server arrived he said I’m not your server your server is busy I am only helping. We inform him that we where going to the concert and that we needed expeditious service. He took our drink order and it took 20minutes for 6 drinks and one of the drinks had a hair and all the server said was jajaja we are not going to charge you for that hair, when we received our drinks we ordered 3 appetizers when we received our app but we had no silverware on the table that took about 25minutes so we asked for the check right away since we where late that took another ten 10minutes and his excuse was that I had a coupon for a free app and he was taking care of that and couldn’t find a manager.Come to find out that he never removed the free appetizer. I understand you are busy but that is just not costumer service
I had been to this store before and service was excellent this time it was horrible.
