Its hard to watch an old friend reach the later stages of life and Johnny's is reaching its end of days. Several menu items were unavailable and the food was underwhelming. Given the price point I certainly can't justify another visit unless its purely for nostalgia.

My husband and I celebrated our first anniversary and the food and service was incredible! Several servers stopped by to tell us happy anniversary throughout the night! Great patio too! We will definitely be back!

Johnny’s is our go to restaurant in Cleveland as we love the old school vibe and great food. Last night did not disappoint as the service from Bobby was excellent and we enjoyed the stuffed peppers which they are know for and I had the veal special with was perfectly done and tasty . Can’t wait to return .

We had a dual birthday celebration dinner on the patio on Tues 7.18.23. The opening champagne was wonderful, the mussels were succulent, the Caesar salads came with fresh sardines, and the crusty bread found itself being dipped into the sauce around the mussels. The veal medallions were served with shitake mushrooms sauteed with sundried tomatoes and sliced pears, sauteed green beans and potato gratin. The bone-in beef was offered with seasoned butter medallion on top, fresh pencil asparagus and potato gratin. Our server selected two different glasses of red wine to compliment each entree. The dinner was finished with a slice of carrot cake wit cream cheese frosting dusted with powdered sugar and swirled with frosting & caramel sauce. The patio had overhead strung lights and was cozy and welcoming on this perfect warm summer evening! Thank you to Johnny’s Bar on Fulton for such a wonderful evening! The welcoming doorman Jose, host Willie, and server Nate were a welcome part of this entire experience !!! So glad we chose Johnny’s Bar on Fulton to celebrate our birthdays!!!

The food at Johnny's is always consistently exceptional as are the servers. All three at our table thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Actually, one of the best meals we've had out in a very long time. Highly recommend.

Overall a great dinner. Food was excellent. Service was a bit slow but we were in no hurry. One suggestion is they should offer a chicken entree(s). My wife does not eat red meat and only some seafood. She had a fish entree and enjoyed it.

Absolutely amazing! The staff made us feel extremely welcomed and so at home!! It was my boyfriends birthday and everyone in the restaurant sang along with us! Food was also top tier!

Johnny's Bar has been our family's go-to for any and all occasions - birthdays, anniversaries, friends in town, etc. - for over 30 years. It's hard to find white tablecloth service, food that comes out of the kitchen HOT, and the perfect martini. The food is consistently delicious - the menu (and specials) doesn't really change much, but it really shouldn't.

We went to Johnny’s to celebrate our 30th anniversary. As usual, the food was very good. Roy our waiter was excellent. He provided recommendations and did a great job managing our meal. He even bought our dessert, which was very kind of him. This is one of my favorite places in Cleveland and where we go to celebrate special occasions.

Super service. Wanted a tad bit more texture on my pan fried scallops. Crème brûlée was fine but I’ve had much better locally. They ran out of tiramisu and we were the second couple in the joint? Overall an enjoyable experience at one of Cleveland’s iconic restaurants!

The food and service was outstanding! Items came out in a timely fashion, and were prepared to order. The place is intimate, noisy as hell, but it does have an energy not found in many restaurants. Always a treat to go to Johnny’s Bar on Fulton! Bring your appetite and a good strong voice! Bon appetite!

Johnny’s on Fulton remains one of the best dining experiences in Cleveland. Toughest decision is which of the 3 veal chops to order. Having eaten at the best Italian restaurants and steak house’s in the Country, I will say the veal is second to none. I will be back soon.

As always, Johnny’s was packed and a bit noisy…people know a good thing when they experience it, and keep coming back! While our table for two was in the bar, making it a less than ideal because every time the door opened it got chilly, the food and service (thanks, Natalie) more than made up for it. My tender mussel appetizer in a delicious butter sauce was wonderful, and my husband’s veal stuffed banana peppers were outstanding, as always. I opted for a simple grilled veal chop (very good!), and my husband loved his potato encrusted grouper. We asked for help in selecting a wine to go with both of our dinners, and the suggested bottle was the perfect accompaniment to our meals. We will be back soon!
