The menu has evolved over the years while always using fresh Louisiana Seafood, cooking techniques and dishes derived from traditional Louisiana culture and for 31 year serving great steaks from Iowa corn fed beef.
Our executive Chef Josh Garic creates our menu, which evolves seasonally. Our dinner with a winemaker series is very popular with our customers for the past 20 years.
Our ambiance is a blend of Caribbean, nautical and New England Inn. Guests will feel comfortable dressed casually or dressed to attend a symphony.

We had a great time celebrating our Anniversary. The decorations and anniversary card from the staff added a special touch. The food was awesome and the atmosphere was cozy . Our waitress, Morgan, did a great job.
We always enjoy Sunday Brunch at Jacmel’s. Food was delicious and the atmosphere on the porch facing the gazebo offered a perfect view. Definitely recommend.

Reservations made through Open Table app. I put Anniversary, but was never asked about it and also put indoor seating but had our table reserved outdoors. Hostess did change it.
Our server seemed a little overwhelmed. Had to be reminded to bring our appetizers and she told us she made a mistake and forgot to put it in. It did come out after our salads.
She didn’t ask if we wanted another cocktail, we had to ask for many things.
My husband got the 8oz Filet and it was very good. I got the Paneed Redfish with purée and roasted cauliflower and mushrooms …when it was put in front of me it didn’t have a good smell. I really thought the fish was bad but it was actually the mushroom & sauce…it had a sour taste and smell. I don’t think this was not a good combination. I love Redfish and I think combining with cauliflower is really great but not the mushrooms/sauce. Would not suggest that dish.
We’ve been here many many times and first time it’s ever been this disorganized. But as also…love the ambiance.
The Jacamel in is a beautiful location with great ambience. An old house that has been converted. The service was great with fantastic teamwork between the service team. Our server, Morgan, did a great job taking care of us and offering personal recommendations in addition to being able to explain everything on the menu. She was friendly and had a great personality! The food was exceptional! My wife had a steak that was perfectly cooked and seasoned. I had the mkt fish which was swordfish and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned as well.
We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and when we sat down at the table there was a sign on the table that said “congrats” along with a hand written congratulations card. Really personalized the experience and made the celebration special. Great all around experience for a more than affordable price!
I took my fiancée here as a surprise being that we live close by, she had been wanting to go here !! Service was good, food was fabulous and the atmosphere was very quaint and romantic, in other words : perfect !!!! We will definitely be back for the shrimp and grits, thank you Jacmel Inn for a wonderful experience !!!!
Excellent food and atmosphere. Employees were very nice but were very busy and didn't always follow up on requests.
We came in for my daughter’s birthday and the table was decorated beautifully which I did not expect. It was a very nice touch to add to the festivities. However my husband ordered the gridades and grits , so did my son in law. Both were very disappointed. They did not like the peppers that were added .
I got a filet and enjoyed it . My daughter got the blackened catfish and also enjoyed it .

Beautiful setting. Patio was spacious, allowing for a romantic and quiet setting. Food was all absolutely amazing. Perfectly executed, quality ingredients. We are still talking about it days afterward.
Dinner was very good. We ate outside close to the music and the music was not overpowering. We have a very nice evening and I will be back again.

We had a great dinner at Jacmel last night. My husband and I had a date night. I had the roasted eggplant soup, which was spicy and full of flavor. My entree was the pork w/ mushroom lasagna- fantastic. My husband ordered the duo of duck, highly recommend! Our waitress, Trace was knowledgeable and friendly. The restaurant was packed due to a wedding party on the patio and private party upstairs so the place was busy and our food still came out on time and delicious. The bar was a hair backed up but no problem, we had a great time.
Service was slower than usual. This probably was due to staffing issues. The salad was served in a warm bowl. This was very unusual. I mentioned this to Chef Josh and he apologized and thanked me for calling it to his attention.
I could make a meal of all the appetizers! So delicious -all of it!

Post Hurricane Ida we were looking for a place nearby my mother's new nursing facility. We found Jacmel online and decided to give it a try. From the time we pulled in to the hostess who seated us, we felt relaxed. Our server Michael made things even more relaxed as he took our order and allowed us to just enjoy our meal without a lot of interruptions. He was awesome. We brought dessert home with us since we were stuffed from our appetizer, salad and main course. It was equally delicious heated up later. We will be back. Thank you for a little corner of peace and quiet and a delicious meal after living thru Ida for the past three weeks! We will be back!

Birthday dinner and the food was great! Steaks were cooked to the proper temperature. The waitstaff in Hailey was incredible and we never needed anything...sheveasntvalreafy getting for us.
Drove over an hour to the Resturant after making a reservation only to find out they were closed due to storm damage. Don’t allow reservations if you are not open.

Delicious as always!! You HAVE to try the cocktails! On this occasion I tried the Very Berry refresher (photo attached) It was a summery, refreshing and not too sweet drink. I also had a steak (best in town if you ask me😋) and a fruit tart. Always, good food, good drinks and superb service.
I have been going to this restaurant at least 5 to 10 times a year since I was a young child. This was always my go to restaurant when hosting out of town guests. However, that is no longer the case. My recent experience has left me with nothing but disappointment and embarrassment. I brought two guests from out of state to eat here after raving about the food and atmosphere only to be met with snarky, poor service. I can look pass a rude comment, a forgotten drink, and failure to remove mushrooms from a dish, but denying a pregnant women a virgin mojito because “the bartender said he only has enough for five alcoholic versions” is just unacceptable. Especially when another guest at our table (who also ordered a mojito) was saying, “please just give her the ingredients that you would have put in mine and I’ll get something else.” To be denied a beverage simply because the bartender did not want to “waste the ingredients” is beyond comprehension to me. Especially considering we were paying the same price regardless of alcohol being in the drink or not. There are entirely too many other restaurants with great food and amazing atmospheres in the Hammond and Madisonville area for this type of service to be accepted. I’m truly so embarrassed and annoyed that my party sat there and politely took this nonsense without complaint that I had to leave my first ever negative review on a public forum.
Lastly, it’s time to remove the Easter decorations from the entryway.

Always a nice time at Jacmel Inn. The way the various dining rooms are segmented makes it more quiet than many restaurants which is a HUGE plus for us.
