J. Gilbert's es una churrasquería de ambiente exclusivo y distendido que sirve carne de res añejada de primera calidad al horno de leña. Se sirve carne de diversos tipos, marisco fresco (incluyendo pasteles de cangrejo de calidad galardonada) y otras especialidades de la casa, como las papas fritas Maytag Bleu.     The experience was excellent as always! Their service and food were both just excellent! We have been to the restaurant many and I can say they always do an excellent job !

    The Maple Plank Salmon and the Seven Layer Coconut Cake were delectable. Our attendant/server, Jeremiah, was the most attentive, efficient, and charming restaurant employee I've encountered in years. He was only forgot an adjustment, which he corrected immediately...He was most engaging, and seemed as if he had taken a course in restaurant service and passed with straight A's....Kudos to J. Gilbert's for a wonderful dining experience....RMN

    One of the nicer places to go for an upscale sit-down meal. They have Chilean Sea Bass on the menu, and the price of $49 is not out of line; the piece of fish wasn't large, but considering how pricey it sometimes is, the meal including two nice sides was pretty satisfying. The other dish we ordered was the seafood mixed grill, and for $44 it wasn't bad either, including the two sides. Sourdough bread at beginning is always good, service was excellent.

    We frequently dine at J. Gilbert’s and are always satisfied with the service and quality of the food. However, we were disappointed that they took away one of our favorite side dishes the Au Gratin potatoes… they have been replaced with a new recipe. Not even comparable to the old recipe! Hope they bring back the favorite, I’m sure by many, old recipe of au gratin potatoes!!!

    Wife and I had anniversary dinner at J Gilbert’s few days ago. Restaurant was not crowded and we were seated promptly. Server seemed new and was maybe overly attentive. Menu has changed since our last visit. Didn’t seem to have as many choices as previously. Only few seafood items and no seafood specials that day. We each ordered a seafood entree and split a wedge salad. Had to request server to provide bread and butter. Food was delivered in a reasonable time, was hot, and tasted good. We were disappointed that our complimentary anniversary dessert choices did not include the crème brûlée. With a modest wine selection the bill was nearly $150. I know inflation has increased prices .. but for $150 I expected a much better experience. Will likely be shopping for a new special occasion dining spot.

    I love celebrating my birthday with J. Gilberts. We make the 90 minute drive to enjoy a wonderful meal and excellent service. This year we had a waiter named T and he was great. He made recommendations for drinks and dinner and he was spot on. The food is such great quality and always prepared perfectly. That is what I love about J. Gilberts, it is the consistency of the meal. Everything is great... the appetizers, salads, entrée and desert... can we talk about that coconut cake!!!! Its all good, every single time.
