   Our waiter was very courteous but made multiple inappropriate comments towards my partner which brought down the overall experience. When it came to upselling it was very pushy and the conversation about menu items was very basic and never had room for us to speak or comment on the items. Multiple times they would ask questions but were clearly not listening to what we had asked for. I have enjoyed my previous visits but this one was very off putting.

   Low lighting in this clean restaurant; loved the environment. Will return for sure. This was our first visit. Filet was medium vs medium rare. Meals served hot, which was great! Crab cake was meaty vs too much breading. Salmon was amazing-not fishy tasting. Scallops and shrimp were good, but small. Coconut cake was dry. Attentive service. Quite expensive, as you don’t get soup/salad with an entree.

   The food was exceptional. My steak was so tender I could cut it with a butter knife. I order a lemon drop martini and it was made with fresh lemon juice & top shelf liquor, I could tell the difference. Our waiter was fantastic he knew a lot about the dishes and recommended how we should accompany it and his favorite menu items. The ambiance was so sexy & romantic. We will be back whenever we come in town.

   We had a fabulous experience. We were celebrating my daughter and granddaughter’s birthday’s.The food, ambiance and service was totally awesome. Chloe was our waitress. She was superb in every since of the word. Please dine there and you won’t be disappointed.

    JGilberts has some of the best crab cakes I've ever eaten! No fillers and decent size! The filet and scallops were spot on fantastic! The scalloped potatoes and vrussel sprouts were so good.The chocolate mousse cake was yummy! Great wine too. I'll be back for sure!

    Always great and consistent. Service matches the food, excellent. I’ve literally ate everything on the menu and it’s all great. I’ve been to a lot of fine dining restaurants and this rates up amongst the best.

    We enjoyed the variety for food and the coconut cake was delicious. Our service was awful and we had to ask for specials or anything else. For the type of restaurant, I expected higher customer service but our waitress was very standoffish and acted as if she was doing us a favor by taking our order. The food was good but for the price, there are many other restaurants I would go to first.

    This was our first time visiting the restaurant and I truly loved it. The food was amazing. One thing that really stood out to me was how clean the bar area was kept. Our waitress was amazing as well

    Birthdays and I forgot to use my $25 birthday coupon that you sent me. I had it with me just forgot to use it. Oh well. As always it’s a great experience our server Chloe was amazing. She made it a great night for all of us.

    As usual, it was great. Always great food and service. Since it was a Saturday night, the restaurant was very full so there was some noise but it didn’t have any impact on our enjoyment.

    We had a delicious birthday dinner and dessert, including the mixed grill and scallops with lobster risotto. My only criticism was that half of my scallops were on the smaller size, inconsistent from the others. The coconut cake was a decadent birthday dessert. The wine was excellent, but the wine list is pricey. Overall, the food and service were excellent and we will be back.

    They messed up the food. My plate came without my steak and it had my best friends lobster on my plate. Her plate had my steak and not her steak. So we waited about 20 minutes for them to fix. At that time we boxed it to go. Rather had my steak hot off the press not next day microwave. Taste was very good overall. Waiter was dry he would walk off mid sentence. We still tipped him maybe he had bad week.

    Dined at J.Gilbert’s for my husband’s birthday. Greeted at the hostess desk with a card from the manager and an offer of a free dessert to share. Attentive service from the wait staff. Good meal - we each had filet mignons. Mine was the standard menu item; my husband chose their Cajun Spiced Filet special because this was Mardi Gras. We have dined at J.Gilbert’s many times and we are sure to dine here again.

    As always, doesn’t disappoint in an intimate space. Food is above average. Certain dishes (e.g. grilled shrimp) aren’t as great as they used to be but still it’s a good place for a good drink and a decent price for their various platters.

    Our waiter was amazing and very thorough regarding explaining our off menu and menu options . He was also very good at helping me choose a cocktail that I liked on the first try! He continued to check on us throughout our time there ! He did phenomenal and was very polite ! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone ! Thank you for the great food and phenomenal service !

    We were there to celebrate our anniversary and we’re very disappointed by how much the service and food had changed…not for the better. Our server, while very nice, was pretty much absent. We were never offered bread, our salads came out at the same time as our entrees, my steak tasted overwhelmingly of hickory smoke, the scallops that I normally love were way overcooked and chewy, and when we ordered coffee and an espresso with our dessert, rather than bringing them out at the same time, the coffee was served at least 5-10 minutes before the espresso. If our server had been more attentive, the steak and scallops would have gone back but we couldn’t find her most of the time. We’ve been here many times and always had exceptional service and food but this time both were seriously lacking and for the price we paid, definitely not worth the cost.
