Probably the best meal we had there,
It was packed and noisy, but the food was great.
I also heard they are closing at the end of the year.
J Coco will be missed.
It was so nice to be able to dine at JCoco before they close at this location. The food has always been outstanding & the locale is special to many who remember shopping for groceries at Wohlners. Look forward to their next endeavor. Just hope it's not to far west.
Go while you still can. The food is top notch and the servers are wonderful. Service is slow (thanks Covid) but be patient and enjoy the atmosphere. The food is worth the wait.
Given curdled crème brûlée. Mix drink made wrong and out of crown.
First time at J. CoCo, and very impressed!
Drinks were amazing and the food was mouth watering. We started an order of the pork belly steamed buns (one of the best I have ever had), along with an order of the drunken mussels. For entrées we had the sea bass and the plum creek chicken. Also had to order the vanilla bean crème brûlée. Such great place and looking forward to coming back VERY soon! Highly recommend going to try this place!
Celebrating my birthday 🥳
Food was amazing and always feels like eating with family.
We have had a number of entrees over time and they all are very good.
My wife had the duck and said it was wonderful this last time, and I had the steak/frites which was equally as good.
Hard working staff and owner. Overall great food and drink.
J Coco never disappoints. The food and service is beyond, beyond.
Everything we had was great. Very nice evening appetizers n meal.
Service and food were great. A little pricy thought.
So sorry you are closing. A great neighborhood restaurant. I really hope the story continues.
Food was amazing. Service friendly and prompt. Hope to come in again!
Loved the restaurant. I'm very sad to hear they are closing this site and future not certain.
pretty noisy, but acceptable. we had a really nice booth out of the way. food and service tremendous!
Our food was fabulous, we had wonderful service. It’s a lovely, intimate venue, and we will sorely miss the restaurant being at that location. Our neighborhood will not be the same.
Terrific food, nice service, love the atmosphere.
Always great food here. Our server was great. Can’t go wrong w Jcoco
We waiting 30 minutes for a glass of wine and 45 minutes for food. My husband’s ordered the steak frites and the fries were Oreida’s crinkle cut frozen fries just thrown on top of his very small steak. Nothing like what is pictured in any of their review images online. I got the NY strip, but I definitely don’t think that was the cut of meat I was given. It was cut into 4 thin strips and was the size/thickness of maybe filet? Really upset no one informed us of running out of food. I understand supply chain issues during Covid, but transparency is key especially when consuming food.
The waitress greeted us very warmly but rushed us while ordering. All 4 of us ordered delicious salads and when they arrived our food immediately followed. Felt very rushed and experience was not what I would expect in a nice restaurant of this statue.
I was very happy to return to J. Coco's for dinner. Have always had a great experience for lunch or dinner. Food and service great as always. Sorry to hear they have lost their lease. Hoping they have much luck in finding a new venue. Would hate to lose such a fine dining experience.
Great food, my veggie burger was a bit charred
Excellent evening. Drinks were on point, plates nicely presented and food cooked to order and seasoned correctly in a great setting. Nicely done!
My husband and I love J. Coco. It is always a great experience. The food is phenomenal—I do not understand how they get so much flavor into a tiny short rib taco!! We also had the cedar salmon and lobster bolognese and WOW both were delicious. The service is great and they are usually busy so don’t expect a quick in/out dining experience. Enjoy your dinner and conversation with your table in between courses. 5 Stars all around
The special occasion was son’s 21st birthday. Restaurant aware but totally inconsequential.
Restaurant was busy which may explain why our order too so long to be served. 2 of the 4 main courses ordered were cold. Two Desserts were ordered and they were disappointing as both were partially cold as if quickly microwaved.
Not what we expected.
Super yummy food, nice wine selection, great experience!
FOOD… AMAZING! Service was on the slower side but overall everything was GREAT!
❤️❤️❤️ J. Coco. Fantastic wine list. Amazing menu. Super accommodating. Great atmosphere.
The food gets better every time we visit. Service was a little slow tonight. However, the lamb meatballs, excellent cocktails, and perfectly prepared entrees were worth the wait.
Had a great experience with a new server that was amazing. Had the amazing spaghetti and meatballs that mom couldn’t have made in her wildest dreams.
Great food. Exemplary service. I had steak/frites and husband had salmon. We both got Brussel sprouts. Our food was perfectly delicious and the sprouts are a must try if you visit. Our waiter was just the perfect combo of light humor and attentiveness without hovering. He offered sample of a couple of different wines when the bottle we ordered was out of stock. We were able to pick one we knew we'd like before ordering a different bottle. Crème Brulee and apple crisp a la mode for dessert were perfect to finish out the evening. The atmosphere is "casual upscale", saw everything from suits to jeans. The conversation noise did get a little loud - the restaurant was full on a Thursday evening, reservations recommended.
Love this place! Desserts sell out so order them with dinner!
limited menu especially for non meat eaters. mac and cheese had no flavor. brussel sprouts were the best part of the meal. limited wine list
We are so glad we had dinner at J. Coco. It was our first date night since the pandemic began. We sat in the outdoor area and we were well spaced from other patrons. The patio was lovely and inviting. It made us feel like we had just stopped by your favorite neighborhood restaurant. Both the food and the service were really good. We especially liked the Korean tacos and the chocolate dessert. We will definitely go back.
Morgan was a great server. Wine and hummus always great. We enjoyed the tacos and chicken. Perfect meal
We were seated promptly and the service was attentive. The vegetarian burger was not available and that was disappointing. That being said, the fish dishes were creative and delicious. It was quite loud but that is to be expected given it was very crowded.
Great menu and service. Perfect spot for our special occasion dinner. Hannah provided great friendly service and the bar made perfect coctails. The two appetizers we split were excellent. Great steak and lamb dinners. Can't wait to go back!
Food was wonderful but ambiance has suffered with more people not dressing for dinner in nicer restaurants. Service was very good!
My wife and I spent our first anniversary here last night and it was a wonderful experience. We started with a glass of Moscato for my wife and a Re-fashioned for myself to drink. The re-fashioned was a nice cocktail and the price point was solid. We decided to go a little overboard and had 3 appetizers, the Korean Tacos, good but nothing to write home about, the grilled octopus which was nice and flavorful, the octopus was cooked perfectly, and the steamed buns(bao). The bao was the highlight of the appetizer course, pork belly had a nice balance between fatty and meaty and the buns were perfect, great appetizer. For mains we ordered the Seabass, cooked to perfection, a phenomenal entree, my wife doesn’t even enjoy potstickers but liked them with this entree. I had the duck, it was crispy and juicy, well done, the soba noodles were cut up and mixed with the veg and pork belly which I didn’t care for but the flavors were solid. We ended with the Oreo cheesecake, rich and exactly what you would expect it to taste like, and the creme brûlée, it was silky smooth and delicious, my only complaint would be that the sugar caramelized on top was burnt in a couple spots. Chef/owner Jennifer Coco also was floating around doing table touches checking in with guests which is always nice to see, and seemed genuinely interested in her guests input. All in all I would highly recommend, this was our first visit and we will absolutely be back soon.
