    You have reserved a true traditional Japanese experience floor seating (with no well under the table for legs). Remove your shoes, and take a step onto our tatami room. A garden window view completes this unique dining experience. This is a unique experience, but it can be challenging for those with limited flexibility. Please let us know in advance if you need to change these reservations, as we will not be able to offer other options upon arrival. Children under 10 are not recommended.

    We recently moved to Santa Fe from San Francisco/Berkeley hills area...we had amazing restaurants there and enjoy eating out so very much.....WE FEEL SO SO SO VERY LUCKY AND FORTUNATE TO BE ABLE TO DINE AT IZANAMI....IT IS FOR SURE OUR FAVORITE RESTAURANT NOW IN SANTA FE.....THE PEOPLE ARE SO WONDERFUL AND ENGAGING WHEN YOU ENTER TO ORDERING TO EVERYTHING.....AND THE FOOD , WELL IT IS THE VERY FINEST AND BEST.....DELICIOUS!!!!!     Its a lovely restaurant and usually has really good service but this time it was very slow and inattentive. Disappointing. We asked to have an additional gyoza so every one in our party could have one and they said no. (?) The drinks came out very slowly and we had to wait for a good 10 minutes to get our check.

    Izanami is always a great place to eat! I enjoy bringing friends who have never had Izakaya & they always totally enjoy it. All of the food was beautifully done, but the blood orange sake yakuza sorbet was the best! So refreshing!

    I know it's a tough labor market but when you ask your server for another drink or a extra napkin, you should have to ask 3x's before they respond. Unfortunately that happened to us several times during our dining experience. It's beyond frustrating. Why can't servers write down your request? I understand they're busy but it shouldn't take reminding someone 3x's before they follow through on the request.

    A physically beautiful facility with a very nice ambience. They provide an interesting menu with many unique dishes, and a great sake menu. Fair wine list but also good whiskey list.

    What an excellent experience. We booked the private baths and then received the best service and most delicious four course meal. Highly recommend!!!
