Izakaya Den es un gastropub japonés muy concurrido de Denver que sigue el modelo de los animados establecimientos tipo after hour que se encuentran en todo Japón. El restaurante está situado en la calle South Pearl Street y es el segundo restaurante de los hermanos Kizaki, fundadores y propietarios de Sushi Den. El menú, de estilo tapas, ofrece platillos tradicionales japoneses pequeños junto con platillos de sabores y texturas internacionales. Entre las opciones japonesas más tradicionales se encuentran el sashimi y nigiri, con pescado de barcos que vienen de todo el mundo, dumplings y fideos típicos. The timing of the food was impeccable. Our wait staff was one top of drinks to match with the cadence of food. Food was also enjoyed and savored before the next roll came out

The six of us had a great birthday celebration at Izakaya Den. Great ambiance, the vibe is fun and the staff were over the top gracious and excited to make our dinner a true celebration. We tried so many different dishes, which were all excellent, and they even had something for my husband who does not eat fish. Our waiter, Shane, was so knowledgeable about the menu and it was a great education for us, since we are new to the Sushi world. He was so attentive to our needs and making sure my son felt celebrated. I have to say this is a great setting for a group celebration and a fun way to try different seafood and sushi dishes. In addition, they were very accommodating when I requested, in advance, a quiet more intimate space for our group, and they picked the perfect spot for us. Everyone agreed that it was the prefect place for us to all come together to celebrate my son's 25th birthday. I can see why it is difficult to get a reservation here, so take the time and book in advance. You will be glad you did!! Great fresh food, great staff and overall great experience. Thanks to Shane and the staff for making it such a memorable time for all of us! Can't wait to come back.

We enjoyed a wonderful array of sushi and sashimi at Izakaya Den last evening. The recommendations from our server, Elizabeth, were perfect.

We had an awesome server from Japan. She did a great job of explaining the different types of sake. The raw fish was very fresh. I ordered the udon entree and it was delicious and a good value. The only negative was the music. It was a bit loud and I wished that we could be listening to jazz or something more low key. It's a beautiful restaurant though. Also, it was my birthday and they served delicious sherbet for desert. It tasted homemade. I will definitely revisit this restaurant.

We love Izayaki Den. We come here every month food is awesome service is better - when we sit at the bar. It was my birthday so we invited a friend and sat at a table. My birthday was noted on the reservation - The waiter - who we have had before and knows who we are could certainly not be bothered with helping us. He walked by three times before ehe greeted us (mind you this was 5:30 so not busy yet...We order drinks and appetizersWe asked if he was ready to take our order - he said well did you write it down? since we sit at the bar - we never have to write anything down - so 15 minutes later he came and took our paper. good thing I know enough to order edamame and spicy tuna with drinks so we have some snacks before the long wait for the kitchen food. It took one FULL hour for us to get the tempura shrimp roll - he forget to order it. Came to the table at one hour and asked if everything was great and what else we wanted? I said my tempura roll. he so oh right I'll get it. 20 minutes later he said right again I just saw they are making it... We got it One Full hour after we were seated... asked for the check and dessert to go. No mention of my birthday - or sorry I forgot your tempura roll... We'll come back..for the food - we will just make sure he is not our waiter - (we think it was ERIC - not memorable)...if we get a table. When this happens, I leave reviews, I speak to the manager on the way out- nothing ever gets done - no one calls us or invites us back...the last time we sat at a table the waiter actually cleared our glasses and plates and gave us the bill before the last sushi roll arrived!! I told the manager - she just said - "so sorry". I know the people do not have to be good because the food is, but I have been coming here for over 20 years...service has taken a dive, but the food did not disappoint. I recommend, but only for the food. Jody Mimmack
