Izakaya Den is Sushi Den's modern little sister, modeled after the lively after-hours establishments found throughout Japan. The restaurant is located on bustling South Pearl Street and is the second restaurant of the Kizaki brothers, founders and owners of award-winning Sushi Den.

The menu is currently shared with Sushi Den, featuring premium sashimi and nigiri, as well as traditional Japanese fare such as udon and Wagyu kushiyaki. With modern seating options including the sushi counter and sky bar, guests enjoy the award-winning architecture and fresh fish shipped daily directly from Japan.

I was first introduced to the Colorado sushi Den empire while attending University of Denver in 1995. Though Izakaya is a "New" restaurant, I would say it's more of an addition to Sushi Den. There are new renditions of old classics like tuna tataki roll and scallop sushi and completely new dishes like The White Dragon roll and the New Osaka style salmon, but most importantly the quality and taste is as excellent and delicious as it was back in 1995! I'm astounded it hasn't changed in all these years. Of course you'll pay for this attention to quality but it's sooo worth visiting at least once while in Denver.

Incredibly fresh and well presented food. Love that they still have a shared kitchen with Sushi Den. As a vegan, also appreciated the variety of options, more creative than just avocado rolls. Highly recommend.

The food was amazing! The sushi rolls were delicious. The sashimi was top tier. The desserts were to die for. The cocktails and whiskey were a great addition. This is our favorite place to go for our anniversaries and birthdays! They make every event special!

Second time to Izakaya Den (Sushi Den). It was lovely. Service is good and attentive, but not overly so. Food was amazing! Highlights were the BF Toro from Spain and the Toro in Tuna (the bluefin tuna toro wrapped inside of bluefin Akami). Spicy edamame was fire as well. It's a nice treat to get that good of seafood in landlocked Denver!

Fish quality is outstanding and the combination of flavors perfect. Our server, John, was above & beyond best server we've ever had anywhere. We both have dined places where the fish/seafood was caught that day, if not right before our eyes & the hand picked fish at Izakaya Den even outshone those!
