Our cuisine is country French and Italian with a New Orleans influence. Although a majority of our seating is available for walk-in guests we do take reservations. While you wait we have a piano player and serve cocktails. We look forward to serving you.

Excellent! First time and will be back! Service was terrific!
Denise was the worse waitress. She used foul language while serving our group. I have never encountered this type of service. I truly hope this matter was taken care of after I notified the manager on our departure.
Food was excellent as always and service was outstanding! Highly recommend.
Awesome food and service, but tiny tables. I don’t recommend going with a party larger than 3.
The food is excellent. I'm sad to say that the acoustics at Irene's are the worst of any quality restaurant I've ever been in, and I've been in hundreds of them. Cheap speakers and horrible acoustics ruined the evening. It sounds like kids banging on empty garbage cans and the racket echoes. The music playlist was predictable and awful. OK, so there is a house in New Orleans, but do I have to listen to that bouncing off the concrete walls three times in an hour at 90db? It was a relief to step out of Irene's and into the cacophony of a French Quarter street. Avoid this place until they get the acoustic ambiance fixed.
Server couldn’t have been nicer. Food was excellent.
WOW! Just plain WOW! From the moment we entered, until we left, it was just plain WOW! Thanks, Dominic, for a wonderful evening of feeling and tasting like we’d never left Umbria. Antipasto; Montepulciano d’Abruzzo; crispy duck (not crispy, but delicious, anyway); fantastic cannelloni; and exquisite crème brûlée: near-gastronomic perfection. We shall return.
Been visiting Irene’s for the last 16 years whenever I’m in NOLA. The paneed oysters and lamb chops are the best I’ve ever eaten. The piano makes for the prefect ambience.
Great food and service. Nice atmosphere at this authentic Italian restaurant.
I had multiple friends suggest Irene’s for my birthday celebration. Irene’s did not disappoint! Not only is the food fabulous, but the waiters are very attentive. We enjoyed the crabmeat gratin for our appetizer. I had the filet and my husband chose the lasagna bolognese for the main course. Their banana foster bread pudding was amazing. My lemon basil martini was on point. Irene’s is now my new favorite restaurant in all of New Orleans.
Best restaurant I ever ate at! Went to Ruth’s Chris next day definitely wasn’t better
Food and service was incredible. The restaurant was beautiful and an easy walk from our hotel. We will definitely recommend to everyone.
Demetrius was amazing. The service and food were both outstanding. He obviously knew the menu and helped us with our choices perfectly.
Excellent. Had the Duck entrée and Crabmeat Gratin appetizer. Will return.
Sehr gutes Essen mit wunderbarer Livemusik am Klavier. Für uns ein perfekter Abend. Sehr gute Betreeung, danke Claudia!
Excellent service, and the best lamb chops I've had!
Excellent experience! The new location is lovely.
Fantastic!! Our first time at the new location and it’s just beautiful! Food was delicious and our server and the hostess were wonderful. Live piano music in the bar area. Several cosy rooms with just a few tables each. Definitely recommend and will be back.
My husband and I came to New Orleans to celebrate the new year. Our meal and service were perfect. We had a delightful and friendly young server who was very knowledgeable. We loved everything we were served. I believe the rosemary chicken is the best I have ever had. We would highly recommend dining at Irene’s.
Yum it was great
Excellent meal and service! Highly recommend. We loved it.
Went to Irenes for NYE. service was absolutely incredible. Our waitress made our night as did many of the other friendly staff members. She was incredibly attentive and gave great recommendations. Ambience was fun. Sat in the bar area at a high top and felt part of the crowd. Food was incredible. Would highly recommend
La nourriture était excellente. J ai pris les pâtes aux crevettes. Le service impeccable.
Best experience we had in NOLA and that includes all
Restaurants from Arnaud’s to commanders. This place was wonderful!
Great Italian.. Service was Ok as they seemed very busy. Ceaser and Caprise salad were outstanding! The lasagna was well prepared and taste too! The meatballs were good but not great.
Great dining experience - excellent service & enjoyed the ambience and history of this great establishment. This has been on our list to try while visiting NOLA & we were NOT disappointed.
Arguably the best place in New Orleans. Top service and food. This is New Orleans! If you had to pick one place, this is it. They have it all. Recently moved to this new location, they preserved everything as they needed to. Perfection. Can’t say enough about how wonderful this place is. Exceptional. Service and food are over the top. Have to do it if in New Orleans!!
First, the food was EXCELLENT.
When I read reviews that focus on the service, the reviewer often comes off worse than the restaurant. I don’t want to sound like a jerk, but our server tonight was far from the best. He never brought the sauvignon blanc we ordered. After 40 minutes we asked about the wine and he said they were out of glasses. Then he finally brought out white wine glasses, but still no wine. Then he brought out the wine, except it was a red, and we said that’s not the wine we ordered, we had a white. He said oh, we must be out of what you ordered so they substituted this. I said “a red for a white?”. At this point it’s been an hour so I say “we’ll just pass on the wine”. Then he comes back 10 minutes later with the wine we actually ordered and says (to his credit), it was my mistake, the wine’s on me. So we take the wine. Well, it must have been an off night for the server, because another table also complained and he was replaced. New server does fine. We get bill and it includes cost of both the red (we never ordered) and the white (which was the source of the complaints). We explain the situation to the new server, who claims to go and talk to the manager, and comes back and says “the previous server never should have offered to comp you the wine; we can’t do that. You won’t pay for the red you never ordered but you will pay for the white wine, and we’ll comp you one dessert”. I guess the wine had taken effect, and the food was excellent, so we took what was offered. It was only on the walk home we realized we never would have taken the late white wine if it hadn’t promised to be comped in the first place!
So, the food was outstanding, especially the lamb chops, the chicken, and the whitefish. I was hoping for great things with the cioppino but as with most attempts, while packed with seafood, it was mostly overcooked. Cheesecake is heavenly. Service was devilish. Your mileage may vary!
The worst fine dining experience in all my years. This says quite a bit as as I have been in sales my entire career where entertaining is an expectation. The service from out waiter Christopher was so poor and the subsequent reaction by Irene’s management was so unprofessional, in my estimation, that it completely ruined a rare evening out with family that I only see once a year.
Great food and service. We had reservations, but arrived early and ate at the bar. The bartenders were attentive and the meal experience was great. The meatball appetizer is always outstanding. The quail special was excellent along with the Rosemary Chicken.
Wine and beer list also solid.
Highly recommend this restaurant.
Good but unexceptional.
We return every year to NOLA and always go to Irene’s. The service is excellent with the staff making us feel like we are their only focus. With all the delicious dining and wine choices we appreciate the wait staff’s thoughtful suggestions. They never fail. And they make killer cocktails. It’s always a fun evening at Irene’s.
Server , Stephanie, was excellent
My wife’s favorite restaurant on this trip. We ordered the roast quail with stuffed mushrooms and the osso buco with bone marrow. Both were excellent, served by a friendly, professional waitstaff. Recently relocated to the French Quarter, the ambience was wonderful. We were seated in a cozy wood paneled room with five other small tables... quiet and reminiscent of old world Italian charm.
We highly recommend Irene’s and would return on our next visit to New Orleans.
Really good service, dishes are so delicious and big portion, will visit again!
Our waiter Daniel was outstanding! Our group Definitely wants to go back.
Best om New Orleans for atmosphere and food. Service was great and the music was great.
the atmosphere was so festive. The waiters were so helpful and friendly and the food my lamb chops were just perfect. I want to go back next time.
This is a must if you go to New Orleans. The ambiance, southern charm, excellent service and great food combined to give us a memorable evening.
We have been going to Irene's every year for our anniversary and are never disappointed?
