Nice Italian food in a quite setting.
Very attentive service.
We chose Il Lupino due to the menu choices, but when we were ordering we found that they were out of the Crab pasta, gluten-free pizza crusts and the chianti we wanted. Pretty disappointing. The charcuterie platter had massive chunks of 2 cheeses - not sure appetizing for two to share. Would have been great to have had some bread or crackers with it. Just not the amazing dining experience we'd hoped for. Lastly, our server seemed pretty distracted and busy elsewhere, despite being seated right in the middle of the restaurant. Meh.
This was a very pleasant surprise in an Italian restaurant! All in all, a very pleasant evening meal in Honolulu.
Great experience. Waiter was awesome.
Excellent place in Waikiki. Great hostesses and bartenders (especially Joe) make the Covid experience in Hawaii seamless. But it’s greatest assets is it’s food which excellent. A must place to dine in Waikiki.
Served quickly, waitstaff very friendly and helpful. Bolognese was average. Very nice outdoor atmosphere
Everything was good but only good. The prices were too high in general and the wine was much too costly. Probably won’t go back unless it’s happy hour.
Mediocre Italian food... Really lacked any flavor. Terrible music. Overpriced for the quality.
Went there for a romantic date and could not have had worse service. Got there at 6:30 and tried to order lasagna, was told it wouldn’t be ready for at least 2 more hours. Server forgot to bring bread until a minute before our food came out.
Food was good, service was very poor considering the upscale nature.
We will never go back if we are fortunate enough to be back on O’ahu
I rated my dining experience fair-good mainly because of the service, the food quality and taste was good and while our server was very nice it also seemed like he was not prepared for guests or perhaps the restaurant was not. They did but have basic ice tea ready/available and one of the “specials of the day”items we ordered we were later told was not available after we had ordered it. I work in the area and have a few Italian restaurants and restaurants in general to choose from so I would probably only return to this restaurant for the pizza’s which is very good.
Bad service …
The restaurant was cute however the service was horrible and the food had no flavor. Our water never got refilled and our server was pretty much non existent. I don’t understand why you would mess up a simple ceaser salad by putting anchovies in it and everything else was just tasteless
Great patio however food was not worth it. Took a long time for the food to even come out. Pepperoni pizza tasted like a frozen pizza that came out of the oven. Gnocchi pasta was okay. Nothing special and not a lot of flavor. Wayyyy to expensive. Wouldn’t recommend
I decided to take my husband for his birthday dinner there (first time ever) and it was so beautiful, the staff the night sky the atmosphere and the food was so great!! We loved it
We lucked out and had dinner right across from the table of Wolfgang himself! The service and food was excellent, coincidence!? :) We will definitely be back to try more dishes
Terrible service. It took 30 minutes to get a cocktail.
The service on the outside was terrible one server for the patio was pathetic
We had a booking still they didn’t not let us sit outside. They said it’s first come first serve. What the hell is then advance booking for???
It’s just terrible “Italian” food, horribly overpriced, and while the waiter was great, the man coming around giving us water was weird and the atmosphere was just stuffy.
Food and drink were delicious. However, when I asked to keep the menu to look at the desserts, the waiter told me they didnt have most of desserts. No explanation and he didnt apologize or even offer up anything they did have. Very short about it. Otherwise, the pizza was delicious.
This restaurant is clean, fancy and good service, but the food is bad. The food is terrible and the price is high.
Food was great, overpriced for the portion size but the happy hour deals were decent. Definitely would go back.
Great service & ambiance. Food is good but very mildly seasoned.
The food and service was amazing. Would definitely recommend.
The gnocchi and the carbonara were YUM!!!
Delicious pizza! Great food in general.
Food was terrible. Not cooked properly or over cooked and dry. I never complain but this was appallingly bad. Apparently a new chef. Might want to reconsider the new chef.
I was very excited to eat here with my guests. Unfortunately the fish was overcooked and dry. The Vongole was below average. It seemed like they dropped some noodles in broth and through clams on the top. No caramelized garlic and no flavor of white wine or garlic. The lasagna had little to no cheese and was a pile of noodles meat and little sauce. Overpriced and disappointed. I walked out wanting to give the chef a cooking lesson on the Vongole Bianco.
The food was not good. I had a seafood linguini with red sauce, the sauce was tasted like unseasoned tomato sauce and the seafood was extremely overcooked. We also ordered the bruschetta which was underwhelming and on a poor choice of bread also tasted old. The prices overall are very high and they seem to be extremely understaffed.
I had a 9:00pm reservation. We showed up and had no host or hostess for about 10 minutes to seat us or anyone else in the line behind us. When we were seated, we were ignored for 15 minutes and told by two different waiters that they would come get our order after they took care of other tables. After about 30 minutes we simply left. Completely unacceptable to treat customers this way. Either you have the staff to open or you don’t. The in between won’t cut it.
Service was poor. When the waiter first approached our table, he said, “I’m sorry I’ve been ignoring you.“ Not a good start.
Our food was hot and tasty. House bread has to be ordered, first for an Italian restaurant. The menu needed updating, new management new menu. Parking wasn't as advertised. Free first hour and $1/additional hour. The sign by the parking garage said for purchases $10 or more, $2/every additional hour. We spent $250+but paid $10.
Overall, it was nice. Everyone is trying their hardest during the pandemic.
The meal was great but they were out of a lot of menu items
Hello, this was our last brunch before heading back home from vacationing in Hawaii! The restaurant is nice..was looking forward to it!
however did not let us know , online was breakfast choices and they did not serve in it in person? Also not much to have at 1115 am! The bruschetta we ordered was not toasted and the bread was stale, also 17.00 for one meatball is crazy and didn’t have much taste…sorry..would not go back…but the server was nice and efficient…thanks
Weve been here 4 other times and everything was mush better than tonight. Was disappointed with so much. Need to take a break from making this a regular stop.
Crab pasta was out again
The staff really need to follow Covid protocol regarding safe and proper wearing of masks and providing hand sanitizers and temperature checks on entry. Every other restaurant in Waikiki does this, why not here? Restrooms were also dirty.
Slow unapologetic service
Filet mignon was cooked perfectly. Signature cocktail with Prosciutto was interestingly delicious. Make sure you secure reservations. We have also enjoyed the Pepperoni pizza here. Very tasty.
It was a horrible experience. Our pizza order took over an hour. Food quality is very low... Prices are very high for such tastless food. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant and would never come back. Stay away! The only good part of this place is the convenient location.
