What a gem! We just moved in the neighborhood and loved this authentic Italian restaurant. Ambience was excellent matched only by the superb service and stellar food. We will definitely return.
The "special" salad was over salted and not worth the "special " price.
My wife and I have been to Il Forno Caldo on many occasions and have never been disappointed. It is one of the few restaurants where you can actually hear each other while having a conversation. The food and wine list is excellent. Il Forno Caldo reminds me of those wonderful Italian restaurants in the Tuscan countryside. The owner is friendly and always has a great recommendation for wine.
Picked this restaurant at the last minute based on previous reviews. We concur. Great for casual, high quality dining.
service was awful. So slow and unresponsive. Had to constantly look for anyone to get anything.
Great food. Nice portions and very good service!
service was awful. Continues to get worse every time. Every table was complaining in our section. please train or hire only experienced staff or get a 3rd waiter its too much for 2 to handle.
Really enjoyed the authentic cuisine.
Delightful, Thank you.
Lovely quiet neighborhood spot! Love it!!!!!!!!!!!
Food was good but waitress was awful. Busboy was more attentive than waitress.
Service was really bad. The waitress was horrible. The waiter in the other section had to give us water and bread since our waitress never brought them. She was horrible.
All was good... as usual This place is right around the corner from my office and is very convenient and always good!
Authentic Italian cooking; Great wine, and excellent friendly service. Probably the best Seafood pasta I have has outside if New York City.
All great as always
Somewhat disappointed given the great reviews. Service was nice and loved the decor. Linguine with clam sauce was very good but other dishes were just ok.
I come here quite often and I must say that I am never bored of the food at Il Forno Caldo. The service is great, always friendly and very helpful with food recommendations. The ambiance of the restaurant is perfectly cozy and warm but still lively. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND going here!
I love penne with pink sauce and they make it very well here. The pizza is amazing, salad is amazing, and the bread, oh the bread, is delicious. Everything about the place makes me so excited to be there. If you haven't gone yet, or even if you have, definitely give it a try.
Great good in great ambiance. Good value and all staff was friendly and engaging.
Wonderful dining experience! Delicious food, wonderful intimate atmosphere, outstanding friendly service. Can't recommend highly enough!!
Quaint, cozy, clean, delicious and consistently a great go to place for dining.
Very warm and welcoming, cozy atmosphere, excellent service. Lasagna was perfect, in a piping hot casserole directly from the oven. Penne arrabiata with sausage suitably spicy and flavorful. Outstanding, fresh crispy-crust bread. Location is nice, close to Rodeo drive (but minus the pretension).
When we got there and were having lunch they were mopping down the kitchen floor with smelly water. I overlooked that but many would not. Not very appealing
This is the 4th time I’ve eaten here, the food is fantastic, great service, and fair prices. I’d highly recommend to anyone!
Il Forno hits its mark in all categories - delicious food, lovely ambiance, superior service. It's a very comfortable place to go to, yet very "special occasion" at the same time. Ever since some good friends of ours introduced us to the restaurant, we've gone back multiple times and introduced it to others. A real winner!
We meet friends here often. The last time we went the very warm and friendly Italian chef came out to offer up the list of specials for the evening. He was delightful and added another wonderful dimension to the evening. The food was good and the atmosphere warm.
Great ambiance, cozy, and reasonably priced. I had a special - lobster ravioli - and it was delicious. My date had penne with sausage. Both had their pink sauce, which the waitress recommended, and she was spot on. Also had the bruschetta which was different (on a crispy flatbread - creative and lighter than the usual). Topped with a nice Sangiovese and we were delighted.
I made a reservation for 2:15 pm table and the restaurant was closed . It was so ridiculous. I was so angry that they allowed me to make a reservation with the door locked. Plus the server who came out and talked to us was very rude and not educated. The worst experience ever.
Cute little Italian restaurant. Prices are fair. Pastas were good but the rest wasn't anything special.
Food is generally good, service can be inconsistent. This time very good.
Food was excellent and good portion size. Price was high for a small glass of Chianti.
