Pedro was amazing!! Was in LA for the weekend from Indiana and it was an absolute blast. The level of service was stunning and the location was to say in simple words the best dinner location to have an amazing dinner night out. Thanks Pedro!!!
Hostess tried to rush us. Menu was not creative. Server was not knowledgeable. Food was not impressive. They did not acknowledge our anniversary. Too expensive for the overall value and experience.
We were pleased with our dinner until I realized that we were overcharged on several dishes compared to prices listed on menu. The restaurant was disappointingly unwilling to remedy situation. At $150 per person for a meal, it is shocking that they were not willing to correct an overcharge of close to $30 caused by their own error. With so many other restaurants to support during COVID, I will go elsewhere next time and recommend you do too.
i’m a simple man really. if my girl likes it then i’m coo with it. it was nice and fancy and affluent
Made reservations for Valentine's day. I needed to call the restaurant to confirm the information online and it was really difficult getting a hold of someone.
Also, what was advertised online did not match the experience that is no roses on the floor nor tables. Sad.
Also, when I finally got through to speak to someone, the person I spoke to was extremely rude and abrupt.
Horrible ambience and dissapointed. Not romantic and not worth the price based on how much I spent. Will not likely go back.
Horrible service on Valentine's Day. I understand that this can be one of the busiest day of the year but this was clearly a case of the restaurant "biting off more than they can chew". Service was absolutely horrendous in which there was nothing personable about it. The owner clearly tried to take advantage of this time to fit in lots of tables in the space they had to capitalize on the holiday rather than worry about the safety of their customers. For $214 per person, there was absolutely no way to justify this. Food was alright but again the service ruined it all. For 18% gratuity already included in the bill, I expected a lot more. It was so difficult to get a waiters attention. They tell everyone that there is a 1.5 hour time limit for being at the tables but how is this possible if we didn't get the main course until 1.5 hours in. Additionally, it seemed that all of the workers were frustrated themselves since lots of customers were complaining. Instead of worrying about making more money to make up lost time due to COVID-19, follow guidelines and focus on your customers more and maybe everything won't be as hectic.
Not the best seating during COVID. Wouldn’t go back until it’s open without outside curb seating .
I just got proposed to and we had the worst table by the door entrance. People kept hitting my chair including the staff! Then right when we sat down we ordered drinks and it took 30 minutes! We were already done eating our first course meal and the drinks still haven’t came out. So I couldn’t even toast to my engagement. I think it was poor service because I had to pay $400 in advance so the servers don’t care about performance. It was such a bad memory of being a a tiny table by the front door. Guest standing all around our table waiting for theirs and hitting our chairs when this was a huge moment in my life getting engaged. There were no 6 feet apart Covid restrictions taking place. I will not recommend this place for Valentines or an engagement... when we finally wanted to leave and get our check. That took another 30mins of us just awkwardly waiting...
Way over priced. Had to wait over an hour for our reservation. Got to the table and was ignored for another 30 min. Waiter had an attitude and gave us the worst service ever. The room was super cold and windy and they kept opening the roof and turning the heaters down. I’d never eat here again. Never recommend them to anyone either.
I wish I could say it was good, but honestly it was far from what I expected. Got seated an hour after my reservation, got served the wrong food and to top it off my steak was almost raw, no wonder they charge that 20% gratuity
music was not loud enough and more coudlve been done to make valentines dsy stand out in terms of entertainment.
It was terrible :(
The staff was so rude . Our table was wobbly. Definitely a waste of money
This was for Valentine's Day, so I don't know what I expected. The space felt very crowded and boxed-in (unpleasant on its own, but genuinely dangerous during a pandemic), so the atmosphere was instantly one of stress and hostility. The staff was trying their best - it was crowded, so I suspect they were just overwhelmed - but getting any service at all was like pulling teeth. The food itself was...fine. Not exceptional. But even if it was, I don't see how I'd have been able to enjoy it in that setting.
Their Valentine's Day service is a fairly expensive prix fixe menu with two courses. I assumed that I was paying more for the atmosphere or an interesting gimmick than the food, but having gone I don't see what aspect was actually worth it. There are dozens of restaurants I'd recommend before il Cielo, be it for the food, setting, or service.
We first were sat in an indoor "alley" at a wobbly table. The initial greeting and service was very poor. We asked to be moved, as did other couples and then sat in the main dinning area. For over $400 a couple the food served was not up to speed - it felt like a bad wedding dinner. Tacky upsell of champagne during dinner. We asked for olive oil to go with our rock hard bread and they brought us a to go plastic container of the oil - crazy. Desert as the only saving grace. We had to ask for our "gift bag" ourselves on the way out. To top it off the valet was upsetting everyone by not having any change and not moving cars so we all had to squeeze out. Also, how are they allowed to have indoor dinning? They had 3 tables clearly inside by the bathrooms which was a CLEAR HEALTH violation. They should refund everyone's money from VDay and be ashamed of themselves for charging Michelin level prices for a fast food meal and horrible, rude service.
Not worth the price
Great ambience and the food tasted incredibly fantastic. The portions are a bit small, but it’s to be expected for a fancy restaurant. Also you have to pay for regular water, which is the same cost as 2 packs of soda. I thought that was illegal, but oh well. Didn’t want to complain and look like a poor person.
The food was amazing the service was great
I went to Valentine's Special occasion.; what a fiasco! Disappointed. Way, way overpriced for what you get. A starter, a main dish, and a shared dessert for 2 with a champagne bottle were three times the regular price. I end up paying with tips, taxes for 2; $600
The portions are small. We came back home to eat again. We were hungry. The place is elk, , the service although they were busy and full they were attentive and the Mexican personal very courteous abs accommodation to any requests. The food was “wedding type “ a single pick up menu nothing to write about it the best was the chocolate heart cake with the gold plate ( it felt like I only paid for dessert but excessively overpriced [in Dubai you find these desserts in many restaurants [average cost $20]) very disappointed overall. Felt robbed. A Michelin restaurant cost as much, and you come out satisfied and surprised with the food. This was the opposite. Hungry and disappointed. I would not recommend it for any occasion if they have the same setup.
The first table they gave us was dirty with wine stain on it. The food wasn’t special. I could eaten that filet mignon or branzino somewhere else for cheaper. I had to ask at least 4 times to light up the candle at our table. Very bad experience for Valentine’s day. I would never go back there.
The food was amazing but the service was not as good as before.
It was amazing like incredibly amazing. Thank you Il Cielo team you’re the best.
Valentines dinner was perfect and so romantic!
This place is so romantic & pretty! We had such an extraordinary time Thank you for making Valentines Weekend so special.
Heard and read so many great things about this place. Photos are all of the inside to be clear. Repeatedly asked the layout prior to coming to have an idea of what to expedt upon arrival.
Start to finish im a nutshell pull to valet get checked in then the host asked my wife as she is putting on her mask we just got out of the car mind you where is your mask no mask no service then says your table is ready and sits down 2 ft from where we are standing in that moment as you may know masks are not requirer while dining at the table so this was just bad service policy or not.
Then despite all that was advised they sit us outside out front which covid or not is a sorry set up. It’s essentially a cheap zip up tent so to speak with this horrible fake green rollup turf rug. There were people coming to be seated with the same sentiments refusing to even dine out front for good reason. They put theee cheap tables out next to parking meters for christ sakes tbere were homeless people and random pedestrians walking through which is likely how they received permission for this nightmare experiment.
Such a terrible look its beyond dangerous if s car makes one wrong move things can go awry. Service was terrible we took 3 bites of our food as couples to our left and right were femanding to speak to the owner this was the biggest joke of a restaurant we will never eat here again and refer everyone not to go here on every platform.
We absolutely want a refund but clesrly that won’t happen. Terrible service- not worth price and then as if ot could not be worst we are leaving and the valet keeps asking us which car and we are out there for 20 min why they figure out what to do next.
Never in life have we ever seen an alledged 5 star restaurant with such poor service and ambiance PF Changs has better service
Also it was a birthday they said and did nothing
We visited Il Cielo for the first time to celebrate Valentine's Day and it was an absolutely beautiful experience. It truly felt like we escaped the city for the evening and had our own little romantic getaway, all while feeling safe as Covid precautions were taken seriously.
The food was prepared to perfection, and the flourless chocolate cake was divine (which we were delighted to learn is the recipe of the owner's mother)! Our server was knowledgeable and suggested a fantastic bottle of wine to pair with our meal.
We will definitely return to Il Cielo.
Overall, beautiful classic restaurant, romantic atmosphere and very good food. Definitely would recommend for a date night
Great restaurant but it is a plastic tent, not outdoor dining. Not exactly covid safe.
There are good for special events😍🥰
Very good mushroom risotto and bass!
Very romantic. We got a great table which felt like we were in Tuscany. We ordered the romantic package so there were rose petals and a candle at our table when we arrived. Beautiful and perfect for our 5 year wedding anniversary.
Nice please with great ambience. The food and servers were good. Typical Beverly Hills seen.
Best service :) I’ll come back
Il Cielo is our favorite Beverly Hills romantic restaurant. When LA restaurants reopened, it was the first place on our wish list of restaurants to revisit. I love the Toscana salad and my wife enjoys their Caesar salad. This time she ordered the Risotto Porcini Funghi - perfectly prepared, al dente and the mushrooms were firm and flavorful. My Bucatini was fabulous. All in all a great way to return to outside dining in the City of Angels.
Love this restaurant. The service, food and ambience over the top. Super romantic.
First time back at a restaurant in months and felt completely safe. The staff was attentive, friendly and kind. The drinks were great and the food was amazing.
I loved it. My girlfriend had an amazing time and she was so happy with the restaurant overall
Amazing service followed by amazing food
