   Il Cielo is a five star restaurant. Excellent food, romantic setting and great service.

   We ordered two appetizers and two entrees. My daughter ordered the $70 filet mignon, medium. It came out well done. Sent it back and it came out raw. The 3rd time was no good either. So, she ordered the $85 pappardelle and lobster. There was not much lobster in the dish. My pork chop was cold by the time I ate it when my daughter’s fish finally arrived. For dessert we had one tea, one coffee and the apple pie, which was very small. I was quite surprised that the restaurant did not comp my daughter’s meal. So, ok, I accepted that. But, more disappointed they did not comp the tea and coffee for $10 each or the $14 dessert. I asked to speak to the manager and was told he was too busy to speak to me. The person told me to have ‘compassion’ since the restaurant was busy and it was Mothers Day. Really! We arrived at 6 PM and only three tables were filled at that time. Cooking a fillet mignon should be very simple for a chef and he got it wrong 3x. Compassion? It’s clear that I was out with my daughter, a young Mother with two babies at home. And we got there early to avoid a crowded restaurant. I was highly disappointed!

   My wife and i had a wonderful date night out! Beautiful romantic setting with delicious food. The portions were so big we had to take some home. Very friendly attentive staff. We will back!

   The best! So beautiful and the service is impeccable. The owner is so nice and wants to always make sure everyone is happy with the food and service which is wonderful. Will be back for the 3rd time this season with another couple.

   Before making a reservation, we called ahead to make sure we could bring our own cake, pay the cake fee, and just order drinks. They said it was totally fine, so we were okay with that. When we arrived, they welcomed us in super warmly, and everything seemed fine. We ordered drinks, then asked the waiter to bring out the cake, and he had no issue with it. We were just sitting and enjoying our time for about 15 minutes, and suddenly, the manager comes over out of nowhere saying we each have to order one dish from the main menu. That made zero sense. I’ve never been to a restaurant where you pay a cake fee, order drinks, and still get forced to order food. It felt like they expected us to just go along with it without saying anything. But obviously, we weren’t about to let that slide. If they had this rule, they should’ve said so beforehand when we called. Instead, they confirmed it was okay, let us sit, and then randomly decided to change the rules. Definitely not coming back.

   it was a wonderful dining experience, and the staff and service were excellent. We really enjoyed our drinks and our main course of New Zealand salmon was excellent.

   We love this restaurant and decided to bring another couple and they can not stop informing us that since being in West Hollywood/Beverly Hills since 1972 they have not been to this one and it was the best! They are going back and so are we; next week with another couple.
