- MMicheleNew York City •1 review5.0Dined 4 days agoThis restaurant offered everything you could possibly want. Outstanding food, service, decor, and staff. Stan the Manager greeted us and made our experience extra special. The bar area was not only beautiful but our bartender Maggie was personable and so knowledgeable. She really knows her craft. This is not your average restaurant. I highly recommend it.More infoGalley and GardenPrice: Moderate• American• Birmingham•4.7
- OTOpenTable DinerAlabama •3 reviews4.0Dined 6 days agoHad a 6:30 reservation on a Monday night. We arrived around 6:23, were greeted and seated immediately. We were there to celebrate our daughter’s 33rd birthday. Our server, can’t remember his name, was phenomenal. Being our first time he explained the menu thoroughly and made suggestions. We started with the hand rolled meatballs, crab cake, roasted bone marrow and half dozen oysters on the half shell. Meatballs were delicious, a must try. Crab cake had minimal filler and lots of crab meat. Bone marrow I could do without. I don’t eat oysters but my daughter loved them; she said they were the perfect size and were delicious. Our meals: My husband - 20oz dry aged bone in ribeye cooked medium. Steak temperature was perfect; however, there was too much char. Me - Hand cut pappardelle. The pasta was cooked Al dente and the truffle cream sauce was to die for. Our daughter - 8oz Wagyu filet cooked medium rare. Sides: broccolini, Gouda fries and whipped potatoes. Broccolini had the right amount of firmness and a little kick to it. Gouda fries were crisp outside and tender inside. Whipped potatoes, nothing special that I couldn’t get at any other quality restaurant. Caesar salad - nothing special, lettuce was crisp, dressing was good Drinks - 2 daiquiris, glass of wine and espresso martini Overall: pricey (paying by credit/debit card costs more than if you pay in cash), warm and welcoming, low lighting for added ambiance, attentive and friendly server and staff, food was delicious, flavorful, mouthwatering, appealing.More infoLittle Betty Steak BarPrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Mountain Brook•4.6

Discover Birmingham
Southern hospitality and flavor go hand-in-hand in this up-and-coming Alabama city. Each neighborhood of Birmingham offers up its own personal character, and while this feature is often overshadowed by football and cities far larger in size, foodies recognize this place as a true hidden treasure. Looking for something trendy and photo-worthy? Go for a sushi burrito or spicy tuna nachos or head to one of the many coffeeshops for a latte and avocado toast. Though breweries were outlawed here several years ago, the craft beer scene is now flourishing and is more than worth the visit to Birmingham on its own. Most essential to your visit is undoubtedly the classic comfort food and barbecue, and you can rest assured that all the fixins' here are as local and homegrown as the community.
