About Bellini's Ristorante & Bar
Great ideas often occur in the most comfortable of settings and Bellinis is no exception. With that in mind, in 2008 after discussing ideas over a bottle (or 2) of wine, the concept of Bellinis was formed. Come see why "Life is Sweet" at our place. Relax and enjoy your own glass of wine among friends and see where your discussions take you. At Bellinis OUR Passion is YOUR Food and YOUR Service.
Bellini's features 100% Prime Organic Beef, housemade pastas, veal, seafood and classic Tuscan Italian dishes. Bellini's maintains an extensive wine selection and weekly desert specials. Our bar opens weekdays at 4pm for drinks and dinner service begins at 5pm Monday to Saturday.

Bellini's Ristorante & Bar Ratings and Reviews
The food was really good. The fried crab claw appetizer was a great way to start. The Manhattan from the bar was one of the best I have had. The one thing that set this experience apart was our waitress Jade. She was knowledgeable, sweet, and really took care of us. Overall, the whole experience was delightful.
My husband, our 3-year old daughter and I all LOVED Bellini's! The food was outstanding, the service was amazing, and the ambiance was very nice and cozy. The lasagna, shrimp & polenta, and the white chocolate bread pudding were absolutely delicious! We all agreed, we just found a new favorite restaurant!
Brad was our server and he and the food were both reasons we continue to go to Bellini’s. This place has some of the best food and service you’ll find anywhere in Birmingham. From the appetizers, cocktails, entrees, and that white chocolate bread pudding that they’re known for, this place never disappoints. Highly recommend reservations several days out as they’re always packed. Great job Brad and Bellini’s team as always. We will be back!! Thank you!!
I’ve been there a few times and this visit was a little subpar given the past. The waiter wasn’t bad, but he wasn’t very attentive. I ordered the ribeye and it was just okay. The veggies were mushy and the twice baked potato was over cooked. One of my friends had to sent his medium well steak back because it was rare, like still mooing. I tried my wife’s crusted grouper and it was really good. I enjoyed the crab claws and the highlight of the evening was the Bellini oysters, amazing.
All and all, I like the restaurant and most visits are excellent. I think I would choose the crusted filet over the ribeye in the future.
The food, atmosphere and waitress were all fantastic for the most part. Our only negative was a mild one. My wife is a vegetarian and went especially for the ravioli. It was very bland. No real flavor at all. This definitely wouldn't keep us from going back.
We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our meal. Food was delicious: we had the fried cheese appetizer, vodka penne, veal parm, and chocolate cake. Our server, Brad, was helpful in choosing wine and menu choices. The price was absolutely reasonable. Thanks for a delightful evening.
With a reservation, we were seated immediately. Ample portions. Salad was big enough for two as were the entrees. We had enough for lunch the next day and more. Three of us had pasta dishes. Two of those could have had more red sauce. Wasn't enough for me or my husband. He got the spaghetti and meatballs. Meatballs were delicious and huge. My eggplant dish was very good but did need more sauce. Next time I will request more. A great find for our out of town guests. Will return.
Good food but the table next to us was a business dinner and very loud. I couldn’t hear my friends across the table from me. We were disappointed bc it was my son’s Birthday and he was really looking forward to the dinner with us his parents and his girlfriend of 5 months
Food was very good. Wide variety of Italian offerings, as well as a bona fide steak menu. We had pasta - linguine with meatballs for me and papardelle bolognese for my wife. Servings are generous. Expect to take some home. The only negative was the noise. The table beside us was beyond loud. They were screaming and howling so loudly that we could not have a conversation at our table. When a table is out of hand, management needs to politely step in for the sake of the other diners.
The ambience was that of a warm place to dine away from the cool evening outside. On entering the building, guests are greeted by a large, warmly lit bar. As we had reservations, we were quickly seated in a tiny side room that looked on to the bar but was otherwise unadorned and bare. The wall within arms length behind me was made of what felt like some kind of cheap plastic imitation of stucco, while the wall that separated us from the bar was made of brick.
The waiter, while not rude, was deliberate in pressing for the expensive items (appetizers, a bottle of wine, and desert after the meal) and eager to make suggestions and get things going. We were not rushed through our meal, but to his credit, he was efficient. Judging from the prices on the menu, I expected carefully curated entrées with expert knowledge from the waitstaff; it was not to be.
We skipped the appetizers and ordered a couple of wine glasses. The warm bread was a meager ration although delightful and the entrée portions surprisingly generous.
When our order arrived, it was somewhere between merely good and very good, yet at $30 - $50 for menu selections, whose quality was on par with Seasons 52 or Cheesecake Factory, the items were overpriced.
If I return, it will not be frequent. I chose this place for variety. While I would like to rave about the place, I can't bring myself to do it. It was good, but it was not that good that I would want to hurry back. All together, my wife and I had three wine glasses and two entrées. Adding a 15% tip, we walked out $118 lighter.
